Tell me in no more than20 words, what is your
FMP idea?
My FMP idea is to create a radioshow podcast.
This will include interviews, songsanda jingle.
Why have youdecided to makeit? I havedecided tomake this as I am aiming to work
in radio in the future so this wouldgive me great
experience to help me get there. I have also
decided to make thisas it is somethingI enjoy and
have moreexperience in creating from my work
experience with YorkMix.
What about yourproject makesit importantto
you?
This project is importanttome to be able to
practise the run of a radio show andhow it’s laid
out. This is importantto me to help me for the
future in radio and havea high understanding.
Outline someof the initial influences onyour
idea/work and somepotential research targets
(remember, research isn’t justa paper-based
activity)
The thing thathas influenced my decisionto make
the radio showpodcastwas throughlistening to
Capital andYorkMix Radio. I like listening to these
stationsas they have the perfect balance between
talkingand songs. I am interested in getting into
radio andresearching different types of radio
stations, however, mainly breakfast showsas this
is what I am aiming toget into. Also, with having
my work experience in at the radiostationthis
hada lot of influence onme todo this as when I
was doingthis, one of my taskswere to shorten
showsfor clients to listen back.
What effect do youwant to haveon your
audience when they see yourproject?
I aim for my audience to be entertained from my
project. The aim is torecreate a breakfastshow
which is the mostpopularshowacross all radio
stations. Thisis because a lot of people will listen
to the radio in the car or on their phoneson a
morningwhilst getting ready or ontheir way to
work/school. I want my project to have a similar
effect for someoneto want to dothat.
Describe the tone/mood/styleofyourproject
[which productiontechniques/characteristicsare
youemploying?]
The style of the radio show will be a casual mix of
bothmusic andtalking. The way I am going to
create this is by using bothanoutro andIntroof a
songfaded in and outand thenadding
speaking/advertsanda jingle after 2 songs. This
could include news, aninterview or adverts.
Why have youdecided to makeyour project in
this style?
I havedecided tomake my project in this way
because I wanted tobase it andcreate as a
breakfastshow so thatit is a mix of exciting and
entertaining butstill calm.
