3. Now we are going to build a very
interesting project – a Fire Alarm
System which will send SMS to a set of
Mobile Numbers when fire occurs in a
particular location. We have seen
many typical Fire Alarm projects which
will alert with a siren or an automatic
shutdown mechanism. This fire alarm
project make use of modern
communication technologies to deal with
emergencies.
8. Arduino is an open-source computer
hardware and software company,
project and user community that
designs and manufactures
microcontroller-based kits for building
digital devices and interactive objects
that can sense and control the physical
world.

11. GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) is an open,
digital cellular technology used for transmitting mobile voice and
data services
GSM Module:
GSM uses narrowband TDMA, which allows eight
simultaneous calls on the same radio frequency.
There are three basic principles in multiple access, FDMA
(Frequency Division Multiple Access), TDMA (Time Division
Multiple Access), and CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access). All
three principles allow multiple users to share the same physical
channel. But the two competing technologies differ in the way
user sharing the common resource.

13. LM35 is a precision IC temperature sensor with its
output proportional to the temperature (in oC). The
sensor circuitry is sealed and therefore it is not
subjected to oxidation and other processes.
With LM35, temperature can be measured more
accurately than with a thermistor. It also possess low
self heating and does not cause more than 0.1 oC
temperature rise in still air.
The operating temperature range is from -55°C to
150°C. The output voltage varies by 10mV in
response to every oC rise/fall in ambient
temperature,i.e., its scale factor is 0.01V/ oC.
16. Description: This is a basic 16 character by 2 line display.
Black text on Green background. Utilizes the extremely
common HD44780 parallel interface chipset (datasheet).
Interface code is freely available. You will need ~11 general
I/O pins to interface to this LCD screen. Includes LED
backlight.
