Youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the partners of today. Young people are social actors of change and progress. They are a crucial segment of a nation's development. Their contribution, therefore, is highly needed.
2. Youth is the spring of Life. It is the age of discovery and dreams .The youth is full of ideas, they have the
finger on the pulse, so they are best suited for the nation and the economy to grow. When young people
come together, they counter each other, they face challenges, they bring strong opinions to the table and
they are invincible. The new entrepreneurs of our country are sure to bring success and a change in the
working system of the country.
The youth is said to have hot blood and when it gets stirred up, they can fight any force whether it be
corruption, terrorism. The youth wants the country to be happy and prosperous. An Indian is sick of being
the victim all the time, the youth is now here to prove that the any individual can become aggressive if
poked for too long.
3. India is a country in which has the largest population of young people in the world . According to census there
are 64 crores of youth between the age of 13-35 . The projected figure is 70 crores. According to the national
youth policy it is the 47% of total population of India.
The Indian youth today is anxious to participate in the onward march of democracy and social justice, his dream
is to lead a life of dignity and self respect
So , above data represents clear part of youth in the total population of youth . If they all join they can develop
the following things
• Education
• Agriculture
• Society
• Economy
• Indian politics
4. The primary role of young people is to get a good
education in order to become better citizens of
tomorrow. They need to learn skills to do the job that
their country’s economy needs. They also need to
know how to read, write, think, understand, analyze,
and discuss the issues their country faces. The entire
success of the nation depends on the youths.
However, in order for continuous success to take
place; it is the Government’s responsibility to provide
the youth with proper facilities for, getting equipped
with the knowledge of the modern era.
5. • Investment in education infrastructure and faculty to increase supply of
professional with relevant skills in remote areas.
• Investment in training institutes to upgrade skills
• Strengthening of the education
• Standards and bodies to certify skills to ensure employability
6. Agriculture is up to four times more effective than other
sectors in reducing poverty. Increasingly, the world is
counting on agriculture to produce more nutritious food
for — and improve the livelihoods of — a booming
population, especially the poor.
• Agriculture matters to the future of
development.
• Agriculture can be a gold mine for young
entrepreneurs
• Agricultural research needs young brainpower
7. Youth are backbone to the nation. They can change the future of the society with their well
being and courageous behavior. They are here to show us that which we have not been wiling
to look at within ourselves.. Unfortunately today we find the youth those who are more
interested in other places which are not useful to them as well as nation. They have no vision
and if they do have dreams they do not have the drive to make any attempt at achieving them.
We must get control of this . We must motivate our youth, teach responsibility and goal setting.
Things have to change, with our schools, with the older generation being good role models,
mentors.
Key role of youth in society is to renew, refresh and maintain a civilization
8. India needs to accelerate its economic growth beyond the existing rates of 5-6% per
annum. Then only can its citizens, more than a quarter of whom (~28%) live below
the poverty line today, afford better lifestyles. In addition, at current growth rates India
is projected to have a significant unemployed population (estimates range between 19
and 37 million unemployed by 2012), the largest share of which will be educated
youth. The unemployment and poverty resulting from inadequate growth will retard
other efforts to place India amongst the top global economic powers. Therefore, the
acceleration of economic growth and the employment of skilled youth in the next two
decades are key concerns for India Inc.
Perhaps, we have for too long looked to others for models of growth. We have
marvelled at the tigers and the dragon and wondered what we could do to copy their
success. But that is denying us our unique place in the world. Perhaps if we start with
our own strengths, we can find an opportunity in our uniquely large and skilled
workforce – an opportunity that distinguishes our model of growth and that is
opening up for India as a result of global developments this report analyses.
10. The country desperately needs some young leaders who personify energy, enthusiasm, morality,
and diligence. No doubt we have progressed a lot in the last 62 years but the development pace
would have been completely different had some young touch bearers led this process of
development.
Nowadays we have only a handful of young leaders like Akhilesh yadav, Rahul Gandhi, Sachin
pilot etc. but they are in the political scenario because they belong to influential political families.
It is next to impossible to find a young leader with no political family background in the furor of
politics.
There can be two reasons :
• One may be that the youth today are not interested in actively participating in the political
field. They are content with what they are doing and how the country is being governed.
• Second reason may be that young people are not given opportunities to prove themselves
claiming that they are not equipped with experience to participate actively in the governance
of country.
11. Firstly, students in colleges and universities can educate the uneducated people.
They can engage in a universal education program which may be arranged or
sponsored by the government, businessmen and landlords
Secondly, both male and female students can serve their country by getting
militarily trained. A developing country cannot afford to have a very huge standing
army.
Thirdly, Students can take part in social welfare activities for general social
progress. A wing of the social welfare department may advise the different
categories of students about the work they can perform in their respective fields.
12. Fourthly, the senior students can insist the law-enforcing agencies in their
work. For example they can make reports to price-controlling agencies about
the high prices charged by shopkeepers
And finally, It is the need of the hour for the government, social
organizations and students to work in close co-operation for the
advancement of the country.
13. According to Swami Vivekananda
" Arise , awake and not stop till the goal is reached .
Stand up , be bold , be strong , take the whole responsibility on your own shoulders and know that you
are the creator of your own destiny.
The training by which the current and expression of will is brought under control and becomes fruitful is
called education.
The whole world secret of existence is to have no fear . Never fear what will become of you , depend on
no one . Only the moment you reject all help are you free.
Purity , patience and perseverance are the three essential to success , and above all , love. "
14. India can become a developed nation only if everyone contributes to the best of his
or her capacity and ability. Youth is wholly experimental and with the full utilization of
the talents of the youth, India will become a complete nation.
‘Youth is like a fire
It crept forward.
A spark at first
Growing into flame
The brightening into blaze’.
