In Spanish, decimals use commas while in English decimals use points. When writing decimals, the commas are used to separate tenths, hundredths, and thousandths. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division can be performed with decimal numbers. For division problems, the decimal is moved right when dividing by powers of ten, and the numbers are multiplied by powers of ten as needed to clear the decimals before dividing.
