NOTIFICATION-
• In exercise of the power conferred by section 6,8,25 of the
environmental act 1986 as well as protecting the environmental
nature health.
• The GOVT of the India have been made the following rule-
• Short tittle.
• Extent.
• Commencement.
• This rule may be called as the rule for manufacture, use,
important, export& storage of hazardous microorganism.
• These rules shall come in to operation on the date to be notified
for this purpose in the official gazette.

3. APPLICATION-
• It is applicable for manufacture, import
&storage of the microorganism.
• It can be applied genetically engineered
organism.
• It can be also applied as new gene
technology.
• It can be applied for the cell organism that
can be generated from the gene technology.

4. IT WILL BE APPLICABLE-
• Sales, force.
• Export-import.
• Production, manifacturing.
• Food staff & distilleries.

5. CLASSIFICATION OF THE MICROORGANISM OR
GENETICALLY ENGINEERED PRODUCTS-
• A/c to these rules microorganism or G.E organism product
or cells be deals with under two major heads –pathogen,
plantpests.
• If G.E organism or cell fall within the limit of more than
one risk class as specified in the schedule.
Microorganism are laid down in the schedule
are divided in the following-
• Bacterial agent.
• Fungal agent.
• Parasitic agent.
• Viral.

6. APPROVAL &PROHIBITION-
• No person can import, export, use sales,
manufacture without approval of GEAC.
• Use of pathogenic microorganism for
research purposes.
• Certain experiment are maintained for the
purpose of the education with in the gene
technology

7. APPEAL-
• Every person follows the decision which
was made by the GEAC &SBC with in the
thirty days.
• This authority prefers such appeal which
may be appointed by the ministry of
environment &forest.
