extensive calculations done on the basis of working fluid dynamical properties
- Shutdown: Worked in 30 days (March/April 2016) shutdown in VGOHT unit, solely in charge of
HXs maintenance (37 Nos.) including IBR HXs. Successfully planned and executed
maintenance of a combination of A/B/D, E/F/K, S/T/U HXs as per TEMA classification including
IBR hydrotests of high pressure Reboilers
Job responsibilities as follows:
- Safe, efficient & effective maintenance and reliability of a chemical plant as per legal
standards with excellence in Health, Safety & Environmental norms

contractor's performance to ensure they abide by all of plants standards and are safe,
competent and competitive providers
- Recommend necessary changes to plant processes, equipment, procedures to meet
operational objectives
- Work with site’s Central Engineering & Technical services to insure best practices for
equipment repairs & overhaulings, preventative/predictive maintenance strategies for rotary
equipments pumps, compressors, turbines & fin fans and static equipments exchangers,
vessels & columns
- Handle system work including equipment records, maintenance histories, work orders &
notifications, work permit management along with Inventory modeling & control and
contractor’s measurement sheets
- Routine activities also include Look, listen, feel (LLF) rounds and daily maintenance planning &
material management
- Awareness of codes & standards: TEMA for heat exchangers, API-610 for centrifugal pumps
and API 682 for mechanical seals
Graduate Engineer Trainee
Vadodara: VMD – IOP/GTPP, July 2014 – February 2015
Highlights:
- Looked after day to day maintenance activities on field along with work permit management
at 4 units of IOP – Air compressors, Boilers, DM water & Refrigeration system and 2 units of
GTPP – Gas turbines & Heat recovery steam generators (HRSG)
- Shutdown: Worked in 7 days (October 2014) shutdown at GTPP studying Combustion
Inspection of Gas Turbine mainly as a learning engineer
Learnings: Scheduled Inspections – MI, CI & HGPI of Gas Turbines, IBR of boilers
Jamnagar: JMD DTA – CRUDE 1/2, March 2015 – June 2015
Highlights:
- Shutdown: Worked in 30 days (March/April 2015) shutdown, this time responsible for
planning & execution of Piping MOCs. The responsibilities handled:
1. Review project specifications, P&ID drawings and isometric sketches with field visitations
2. Accordingly plan for work scheduling and priorities
3. Remain in regular contact with fabrication for the job progress. Accordingly arrange for
all tools, tackles & manpower required for safe execution of the job
4. Arrange for welding tests & heat treatments from Central inspection group wherever
required
Learnings: a. Read P&IDs and isometrics, W/C/G requirements and procedures, NDTs for welding
b. Overall jobs & responsibilities of a maintenance engineer
