2. Characters
“LIVE MUSIC” VIDEO
• If making a “live music video” I will use my sixth
form peers to create an “audience” figure, with
the main focus being on one “artist”.
• I will pan the camera around the “artist” to
ensure that this character is the main focus of the
video.
3. NARRATIVE BASED VIDEO
• Two characters
– One main male and female character, with small interactions from
others.
A “love story” based video to be made, which will stereotypically
appeal to teenage girls.
This will compliment the music chosen, which means that it will be
suited to my chosen target audience.
4. Plot
“LIVE MUSIC” VIDEO
• No narrative plot to be placed.
• There will be link between visuals and music, but
no link between visuals and lyrics
5. “NARRATIVE” BASED VIDEO
• This will contain obvious link between visuals and
lyrics.
• There will be use of continuity style editing to
ensure that the video flows, and so there is the
feel of a story being told.
• The use of a love theme, to appeal to my target
audience. This is not limited to just heterosexual,
and may contain scenes of homosexuality to
broaden my audience and their perspective of
life.
6. Location/Setting
“LIVE MUSIC” VIDEO
• Using either the school stage, or a stage within
the local community.
• Also, the idea of having the artist in the middle,
and the audience around them.
• “Busking” is another idea that would fit into the
“live music” genre, and maybe could be
interweaved within the footage of a “concert”.
7. “NARRATIVE” BASED VIDEO
• Settings within the local area of Conisbrough.
– Conisbrough Castle/castle grounds
– Riverside walk
– Woodland area
– Children’s playgrounds
• The use of a person’s house may be required.
This is to make the “relationship” look natural,
in a natural habitat.
8. Target Audience
• Both videos will be aimed at teens, however,
will have conventions that will appeal to all
ages.
• I aim to make this a video that will be suitable
for children to view without parents feeling
uncomfortable.
