2. The feel of the music video is urban, There will be a dark effect, The main
story line is about a brother and sister who eventually meet at the end
because in the lyrics they use ‘far from home’ so they both come from far off
and join in the middle to get home. The cameras will follow the two ‘actors’
around different areas as they make their way to the ‘meeting point’ which is
home they will both start at different places which include uses of transport so
give a feel of them being far away from each other. Throughout the song the
beat kicks in and that is when it will focus on them both travelling through
different areas of town.
Rules I want to apply whilst making my music video:
It will be a narrative video
A camera with follow the two people around from behind and the side and the
front but not revelling the full face.
Need a girl and a boy similar age who will be the brother and sister
The filming will take place in several areas including town and locally at the
moss and locks
The lighting will be dark and try to make the lights/street lights quite eerie
because the people identity doesn’t get shown
We will need the two people to rather have a hood up or a hat the mystery of
what they look like would give it some interest so the people watching it can
imagine what they look like
The shots will include:
-Shot from the back of them walking
also there shoes back and front of them walking
-Shot from the front chest to show headphones and hands clapping
-Clips of their surrounding for example the buildings around them and cars
etc.
-Far away shots still focused on them walking
-Shots on public transport of them making their way ‘home’
-A final shot of them meeting still keeping their faces out of shot
The characters will have hoods/hats on, headphones, casual clothes
The effect on the video will be a dark maybe black and white in some shots to
give the effect of it being night
