2. Tense (কাল)
ককান কাজ সম্পাদননর সময়/সময়কালনক Tense বলা হয়।
Tense, in English grammar, refers to the time of an
action or event. It tells when the work is done.
There are three types of Tenses
Present Tense (বর্ত মান কাল)
Past Tense (অর্ীর্ কাল)

3. I shall eat rice/He will eat rice. (Future Tense)
I ate rice/He ate rice. (Past Tense)
I eat Rice/He eats rice. (Present Tense)

4. Present Tense (বর্ত মান কাল) আবার চার প্রকার। যথা-
কয Tense দ্বারা বর্ত মান কানল ককান কাজ করা বুঝায় র্ানক

6. Present Indefinite Tense
যেTense দ্বারাবর্ত মানকালেঅনননদতষ্টভালব যকানকাজ করাবুঝায় এবংঅভযাসগর্ কমতও নিরন্তনসর্য
বুঝায় র্ালকPresent Indefinite Tense বোহয়।
It describes an action that is true, regular or normal. It uses the main verb or base form of the
verb or the root verb.

7. Structure (Positive Sentence)
Subject + main verb + obj + ext.
I go toSchool- আনমস্কু লেোই।
He goesto school- যসস্কু লেোয়।
Theyplay cricket- র্ারা নিলকটযেলে।

8. Note: Subject েনদ –Third Person- Singular Number র্াহলে মুেVerb এর যেলে S
বা es যোগ হয়।
He goes to the market.
Hasinawants a cup of tea.
The boy plays cricket.

9. Structure: (Negative Sentence)
Subject + Do not/Does not + main verb + object.
Positive: I eat rice.
Negative: I do not eat rice.
Positive: He goes to School.
Negative: He does not go to School.
Positive: He walks in the evening.
Negative: He does not walk in the evening.
Positive: They like to dance.

10. Structure: (Question Sentence)
Do/ Does + Subject + Main verb + Object + Note of interrogation (?)
Positive: He sings a song.
Interrogative: Does he sing a song?
Positive: She likes to talk to you.
Interrogative: Does she like to talk to you?
Positive: We try to do the assignment.
Interrogative: Do we try to do the assignment?
Positive: They love you.

11. Using ‘Be verb’ (am/is/are):
Subject + be verb (am/is/are) + object.
I am a musician.
It is my pen.
You are a fraud.

12. Negative sentence:
Subject + am not/is not/are not + object
Positive: I am a good boy.
Negative: I am not a good boy.
Positive: It is her book.
Negative: It is not her book.
Positive: You are my friend.
Negative: You are not my friend.

13. Interrogative:
Am/is/are + subject + object+ Noteof Interrogation (?)
Positive: I am an intelligentboy.
Interrogative: Am I an intelligent boy?
Positive: He is angry.
