6. Problem
In today's world skill development in rural
India is highly important. Lack of proper
education and training restricts people from
the opportunities for self-advancement by
limiting their access to well-paid employment
A big economic opportunity for India, lies in creating a competent
and trained manpower. Of particular concern has been the skilling of
the rural youth, who constitute nearly 70% of the country’s total
population 1 . The penetration of vocational training in rural India is
abysmally low- 93.7% of youth have not received any vocational
training. Dearth of quality trainers, inadequacies in training
programmes and high dropout rates remain hurdles to skill
development. Most training institutes are located in the nearest small
towns, inaccessible to most, especially women, due to the lack of
public transport facilities. The Government-run Industrial Training
Institutes (ITIs) have severely limited capacity and offer outdated
courses with limited placement options. In the absence of skills most
literate rural youth end up working as unskilled migrant workers in the
nearest towns and cities.

It is clear that the youths and women
in the villages have the ability to learn
if they are given the opportunity for
support. To this end we are furnishing
them with a proper guidance,
opportunities and encouragement to
become independent
and have a sustainable life.
To create an opportunity in the community
with various skill development courses and
to link them to the market to generate ongoing
income.Skill training not only provides skills in a
particular area, but trains youths/women
to build and enhance networking, time
management, communication skills.

If a person wants to start his
own employment in a rural
area, then it is very difficult
without skill. We will design
skill courses according to
the need and teach him
through his mobile.
Solution
9. Marketing
Strategy
Our effort is that for promoting
entrepreneurship in the villages, we will make
better use of their own resources, give them
training for skill development and get them
set up.
In rural areas, training centers with more space are
available on rent at very cheap rates, we will select local
people for trainers and get them trained at metro cities
and prepare them to train others at local level for quality
training.
A mobile application will be developed through which
we will teach high quality courses digitally to them. The
mobile application will be designed according to the
local skill requirement of each region.
Strategy 1
Strategy 2
We will go stage wise by taking both the options
together. Courses running offline will start from the
online channel so that the learner gets settled gradually.
And he feels the need to learn further. Along with this,
they should also be given small work from home so that
they too can start earning.
Strategy 3
10. Competition
Government-run Skill Training Institutes have very limited
capacity and offer outdated courses with very limited
placement options. Due to lack of skills, most of the literate
rural youth are working as unskilled migrant laborers in the
nearest towns and cities. CSR and NGOs are also present in
this skill domain but their reach is very limited to either
cites or some geographical level. They all are running these
things with set pattern since years. Most of them don’t
have reach to the rural areas. Most training institutes are
located in the nearest small towns, inaccessible to most,
especially women, due to the lack of public transport
facilities. Timing of their training are from 4 hrs to 8 hrs
Daily, After giving so much time to training everyday, he
has no time left for other work. None of these institutes is
providing training according to their needs. While there is a
need, they should be given such training that they can get
an entry level job or start their own business.

11. Our Strategy
We could give them skill courses according to
their needs. He can learn in whatever way he
wants to learn. Be it offline or online, we can
easily teach them on both platforms.
Along with the second course, their income
should be linked to it. Whether they want to
do their own business or job, they should
have the method of setup after learning that
skill. Apart from this, along with working
continuously, keep updating yourself in other
skills. Overall, we want to teach them in such
a way that they get to learn new skills
everyday and they can compete with the
cities over time.
