2. Genre of music
John Legend usually sings hip-hop, R&B and soul. When
looking and listening to this music video I realised that
this genre is soul. This is due to the black and white
coloured video and the time of music that he is singing.
3. Relationship between lyrics and visuals
When the chorus starts playing the lyrics say “All of me,
loves all of you” when this is being sang it is a long shot
of the women. This shot is showing her whole body to
tell the audience that he loves “all” off her.
Secondly the lyrics says “What’s going on in that beautiful
mind” when is this being sang it is a medium shot of her
face.
4. Relationship between music and
visuals
There isn’t much movement throughout the music video
however when they are making love or whenever they
are under the water it is in time with the beat. For
example when the women is coming up from the water
its at the same time with the music.
5. Close-ups of the main artist/vocalist
There is many close-ups of John Legend's face when he is
playing the piano. This shows his emotion when he is
singing the song.
6. Reference to voyeurism
When John Legend is with the women in the music video
kissing and in the shower, it gives us the impression that
he is unaware that he is being watched by us as an
audience.
