CAREER HISTORY
Transport Planning Manager: Elliott June 2003 – Present
• Manage a team of 8 planners and 5 Transport Administrators in order to plan transport for
18 depots.
• Ensure that all deliveries and collections are planned for the regional depots across the UK
• Monitor the scheduling of loads to ensure the routes are planned in the most cost effective
way.
• Responsible for ensuring the transport administration within the department is accurate and
effective, including ensuring the following:
o all the drivers have the necessary paperwork in place;
o purchase orders are raised for all subcontract hauliers;
o Working Time Directive is being adhered to;
o queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Running transport reports (KPI’s/SLA’s) for the Regional Director and to ensure the team are
performing within agreed parameters.
Key Achievements:
Set up a central transport planning team in a new distribution depot to manage transport
planning for all the Elliott depots (c60) across the UK. This was from recruitment, to
implementation and training.
