Well, the chair you are sitting on and the computer you
are using would not be there without logistics. The
same is true for the clothes you wear, the food you eat

6. BILM and the CILT
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
(CILT) is an international organization with over
33,000 members working in over 100 countries. They
offer intentionally recognized professional
qualifications in logistics.
As part of the BILM you study for your International
CILT Certificate and, if you choose to, your CILT
Diploma.

• The BILM is a four year full-time degree course in
International Logistics Management
• You will complete a set of compulsory courses which will
give you the general knowledge and skills required for
logistics
• There are also optional courses which cover specialist
areas such as security
• As English is the universal language of logistics you will
also study English as well as specific logistics terminology
