Ask: What's out there and how much do current solutions cost?
• Some coatings with limited effect, such as Pam spray, Rain EX
(polish) but that these don't last long (weeks)
• Electrical heating - several amps (~4A) current.
• Antenna horn heater and cover ~$800 for a 1.2m dish.
• Harsher climates - electrical heated forced air ~$2500.
• Other mechanical systems ~$1500

Peter Andrews – Chief Engineer - Pilot – Discussed earlier
• Cabin in Maine and ICE dams build up on the roof.
• He needs to CLIMB UP ON THE ROOF and sweep the snow and
ice off. Otherwise he has to CLIMB UP and CHISEL the ice off.
• A solution for this would only be needed at the edge to keep
the ice from adhering to the leading edge of the roof.
• Research indicates that there are cheap solutions for this – will
not forget, but not pursuing at this time
