HL Education Program Analysis
Assessments are important in determining the effectiveness of any education program. A properly formatted assessment can effectively measure how
successful a HL program is to meeting the needs of the population (Altin et al., 2014). In order to successfully assess the effectiveness of the proposed
HL education program and its ability to increase understanding of HL knowledge, tests and surveys will be administered throughout the program. A
survey that determines how competent students are in regards to race and culture will be administered at the beginning of the course. Additionally, two
large examinations that include both verbal and written skills will be being given at the beginning and end of the program. The first examination will

The Importance of Literacy Programs in Education
Abstract
This research paper is intended to gather information on the subject of the practice implemented for reading and writing in primary level. However,
the research paper continues to evolve to meet the needs of a world marked by continuous change or effective action. Crafted from the primary level
literacy course, this broad in scope and thoroughly concerned with concrete problems or data rather than with fundamental principles text continues to
cover the information needed by both new and experienced teachers in order to teach effective literacy in the primary level, thereby following this
with the specific strategies to use in the classroom to develop successful teenage or primary readers and writers. Nevertheless, arousing or ... Show more

For any teacher to be able to pass on sound knowledge of education to their scholars irrespective of the race or language of instruction they must have a
pattern of teaching and monitor the progress of the students.
The teachers must have a one on one or intimate teaching relationship with their scholars for them to have sound understanding on how to carry out
their teaching pattern.
Once the teacher is familiar with the scholars, depending on their level of knowledge, the introduction of phonetics and vowels and how to make up
words through, speaking, reading and listening will be the basic teaching pattern (Richards & Rodgers 2001, p.21). The language of instruction must
be put into consideration since most of the scholars are classified as international students. They have to be instructed in a clear and loud voice and
every word or assignment being taught has to be repeated before and after writing it down on the blackboard (Richards & Rodgers, 2001, p.11).
On achieving this, great emphasis will be laid on the introduction of the different parts of speech or structuring of grammar and rhetoric (e.g. phrases,
clauses and sentences) which will help the students build up on how to make sentences and where to

Graduation Speech : Special Education Program
Students enrolled in special education programs are generally defined as passive learners. Many students in the special education program transfer their
passive classroom learning into their knowledge of their Individualized Education Program (IEP) and rarely demonstrate self–determination skills. Few
students attend their IEP meeting and fewer students know their IEP goals and goal areas. Thus, the students in thespecial education setting display a
lack of involvement and participation in their IEP, including the accommodations and modifications available to help them succeed. This researcher has
found that most of the students in the special education program at a rural northwest Iowa high school where she teaches are not actively involved in
their own IEP process. Also, the students do not understand why they are in the special education program; therefore, they do not attend IEP meetings
and are not active participants in goal setting and transition planning.
Context of the Problem
Only two of the 24 students being served in the researcher's rural school district could explain when and why they were placed in the special education
program, the purpose of the IEP meeting, and accommodations available to help them succeed. These same two students were the only two to attend
their annual IEP meeting. When asked by the researcher why the students did not attend the IEP annual meeting the most common response was, "They
don't need me."

Planning Education Training Programs
Planning education training programs Planning involves, among other things, interaction with people, organizing resources and having in mind the
interests of people. It is, therefore, inevitable that there will be issues of influence and power that would result. Some areas that conflict may arise
include cross–gender interactions, inter–ethnic or inter–racial interactions, committees, and decision making forums (Munduate, 2003). There arises an
issue whenever one power tries to exert influence over another person. Therefore, one must be open to these instances that may result in conflict or
attrition. Determining sources of conflict in interactions is an essential aspect in managing power issues (Munduate, 2003). One's reaction should
enhance the value in individuals and minimize conflict by using language and body language. This means that careful choice of words is essential to
exert influence despite conflict. Although power imply control, power is significant to ensure implementation of plans. Therefore, there should be a
positive outlook to power issues. Power issues spill over into negotiations and influence the outcomes. There are different skills in negotiation, but it is
necessary to ensure a win–win situation. There are several things that one should have in mind. These include goals, tradeoffs, alternatives, expected
outcomes, and the relationships of all people in the negotiation. Emotion may play a part in the negotiation, and it is necessary to maintain

Alternative Education Programs
In the world of education today many middle schools and high schools are looking at alternative education programs that truly prepare students with
severe disabilities for the "real world" after high school. Unfortunately, many high schools are so concerned with high school credits that they do not
even look into better alternative education programs. Numerous high schools rely on computer programs that assist students in obtaining their high
school credits without being in the regular school setting. There are many methods a school can begin to use to turn an alternative education program
around. Some of these ways include the use of activity schedules, community involvement and summer employment, assistive technology, and the ...

With the heightened emphasis on employment preparation due to the disappointing post school employment outcomes for students with severe
disabilities, the fact that receiving work experiences during high school is among the most important predictor of favorable post school employment,
and the fact that working during high school can contribute to the enhancement of students' autonomy, identity, career awareness and aspirations,
values, skills, knowledge, and development. Summer months offer time for students with severe disabilities to gain work–related experiences that
could further their transition–related goals and prepare them for future careers. (Carter, Ditchman, Sun, Trainor, Swedeen, and Owens, 2010) Many
schools focus so much on post school employment that little focus is given to regular education courses that could assist students with disabilities.
Assistive technology such as handheld computers and compatible software assist students at school and at home. Assistive technology can assist
students in note–taking, animating concepts, word processing, self–management, organization, beaming, cooperative learning, spontaneous interaction,
and reinforcing concepts. Many post education careers involve these skills. However, without the proper education and use of assistive technology
many students do not have many successful coping skills for "real world" problems. Assistive

education in a school system equally. Looking at it from this standpoint, we can say physical education will have meaning when all of these factors
are contributed and put together. We have to work together to implement physical education in the schools, but it will all be worth it in the long run
(France, 2011, p.51). Staff, as stated from the article written by Huberty, is a big part of a school'sphysical education program. Most of the participants
and staff from this study believe physical activity is important, but limited because of the amount of homework given, pressure from peers, and the
lack of ability to perform at home because of limited equipment. I believe all of these factors are important because this is something very ... Show more

Taking into consideration those factors and learning to differentiate lessons for those students is very important for success and building of a physical
education program. The most important part about a physical education lesson is so each and every student is participating to his or her fullest and
best ability, while also learning something. Whether or not a lesson has to be differentiated or adapted, they should all be learning (Ebbeck, 2015,
p. 54). Saving the best for last, obesity. According to schools in Texas and Governor Rick Perry, these schools will be participating in physical
education to reduce the beginning of diabetes. Since America is considered overweight, they did not think there was a better way to hopefully
decrease obesity than to incorporate more physical education in to schools. "Kindergarten through fifth grade graders are required to exert for thirty
minutes during PE or structured recess, which students will begin this fall" (Obesity, 2007, p.1). This also goes along with the taking away of
recesses. We should not be taking away things, which benefit our students' lives. Overall, physical education courses can help a students overall well
being and health. This is the goal they aim to pursue at these Texas schools. They also are requiring mandatory testing based upon levels of attendance,

Instructional Programs For Technology Education
To develop meaningful instructional programs for technology education, goals need to be in place to direct the outcomes of curriculum development
and teaching. They go beyond everyday teaching objectives; they are directed at long–term learning and programmatic outcomes.
Performance standards measure how much of the content the student is proficient. Opportunity–to–learn standards ensure the learning is student
focused, everyone has a right to education and that education should be learner centered. For an educational technology standard to be most effective it
needs to recognize these three standards. International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) has accomplished this with its NationalEducational
Technology Standards (NETS). The standards provided by NETS provide a comprehensive set of goals to encourage a technology integrated education.
Introducing educational technology into the developing world is multidimensional and requires many basic issues to be recognized and addressed. It is
becoming recognized that telecentres and the use of ICT in developing countries to assist in meeting the Millennium Development Goals is becoming
increasingly viable.

Prison Education Programs
Introduction The U.S. penal population of 2.2 million adults is the largest in the world (Glaze, 2011). The prisons in the United States are described as
"human warehouses" rather than rehabilitative centers (Contardo & Erisman, 2005). A method to rehabilitate prisoners is through the use of
educational programs. A 2014 U.S National Research Council report stated literacy rates among prisoners is generally low, and substantially lower
than in general population (Davis, 2014). Those who hope to successfully rehabilitate prisoners point to increasing the literacy levels of these
individuals before they re–enter the community. The focus of the research is to determine if prisoners who participate in correctional education
programs has an impact on recidivating. The purpose of this research is to use empirical data to express the relationship between adult education and
decreased recidivism. Do educational systems work, and if so, at what levels do we begin to see the greatest impact? Prison educational systems

Opponents of such policies use statistics from the Department of Justice which states 7 in 10 offenders will re–offend within three years of release
(2003). With a success rate so abysmal, why invest in these rehabilitative programs? The cost of correctional educational programs varies; but, in
general the latest figures range from $140,000 to $174,000 per 100 inmates (Davis, 2014). In essence, that translates to approximately $1,400 to
$1,744 per inmate each year. The opponents of correctional education policies only evaluate the cost spent, but advocates for the programs state the
cost of incarceration is too high to not consider correctional education. In the same Rand study by Lois Davis, the cost of incarceration is estimated to
be $3.25 million for the same hypothetical 100 inmates

The Individualized Education Program (Iep)
After discussing the night before school and the morning before school starts, the mother shares how the school day begins for her son. She stresses
that getting an individual with autism in the right program is the most important step. Due to everything being new for a student with autism, it is
crucial that the student, parents, teachers, and the IEP team have a strong relationship. This mother's story relates to the most significant pillar, an
individualized education program because she has the right to be persistent in advocating for her son. Eventually the school had to change the child's
IEP plan based on his individual needs, arrange a car service in order for him to be picked up properly, and implement a behavior plan. The mother in...

Autism is not only difficult for the child, but it is also a challenge for the child's family. Professionals encourage parents to join a support group to
learn new treatment plan and receive emotional support advice. An article written by Melinda Smith, Jeanne Segal, and Ted Hutman states that in
order to help children with autism be successful, they first need "structure and safety"; second, "nonverbal ways to connect"; and third, "a
personalized autism treatment plan." Parents are able to provide the structure by providing a consistent schedule, rewards for good behavior, and a
safe zone for their child. A safe zone is a place for a child to go and relax while feeling secure. Parents are able to provide connections by watching their
child for nonverbal methods of communication. If parents are aware of their child's behavior when they want or need certain things they can better
respond to the situation and help the child feel more secure. Additionally, parents should always make time for fun with their child, no matter the
circumstances. Parents know when their child is most aware of what is going on around them; therefore, they should schedule therapies and
appointments around times that will be most effective for their child (Smith, Segal, Hutman

The Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program
The Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program also known, as the D.A.R.E program is a worldwide school–based program that helps reach out to
children (elementary, middle, and high school) to prevent drug and violence abuse. This program does not discriminate in any case, therefore it
consists of children all different colors, shapes, and sizes. Since drug and violence abuse was rising at incredible increments in the 1970's and early
80's, a Los Angeles Police Chief and the Los Angeles School District in 1983 founded the Drug Abuse ResistanceEducation Program. There are
twelve key critical components in this program, each and every component is required to have a successful impact. Some such as: joint planning
(which comes from the parents), education agencies, and law enforcement agencies. These come together as one and prepares a plan for the child and
a written agreement which requires the child to sign a contract that indicates full respect to the parents, law enforcement agencies, and education
agencies requiring full commitment to the drug and violence prevention program. The major goal for D.A.R.E. is to assist school children in
resistance skills and prevent drug abuse amongst them. Children learn best at a young age that is why this program is in school districts trying to start
educating them about the subject at a young age. This program uses the psychosocial approach by having the officer reach out to each child separately.

Admission And The Teacher Education Program
Admission to the Teacher Education Program
Growing up, I always knew that teaching was my passion. Teaching was something that I wanted to do, because I had a love for working with
children. I also had a love for helping others to reach their fullest potential, no matter how hard it was. Teaching is something that shows me the
greatest outcome. One day I will get to watch the children that I taught and helped make a difference in achieving their dreams. Throughout my time
here at Newberry College, I have had some awesome experiences that have influenced the way that I will teach. Education 232, and Elementary
Geometry 222 have had the greatest influences. A teacher that I worked with while I was a senior in HighSchool has also influenced me. All of these
experiences will lead me into being the best teacher that I can be. Education 232 has been the best learning experience in the education department for
me so far. This course taught me that it is ok to see differences in students but not to treat them differently. Classrooms are a diverse learning
environment, and learning about them in this course has better prepared me for seeing these diversities in the field. Diversity is a major thing to
recognize when going into a classroom. Diversity sets one student apart from another. It not only includes talking about students that look different but
also the ones that learn different. As a teacher it will be my responsibility to practice equity in order that I

Alternative Education Schools and Programs
Alternative Education Alternative education was once considered a solution only necessary for children with special needs. As society changes, so
does the prominence of issues within it. In our current society, education is mandatory in order for an individual to be successful in the future.
Although this may seem like a simple task to accomplish, the generalized form of education is not sufficient for students who have different needs from
the typical student. These needs can include disabled needs or special education, at risk or troubled needs, gifted and talented needs, or students who
speak English as a second language. Alternative education schools and programs provide the individualized instruction that will help these students
become successful. In order to ensure that these students will receive the education necessary for success, the privilege of alternative education needs
to be used to its best advantage. If it is used efficiently, then more students will have a successful education and future, therefore it will positively
impact the future of the world. Without a sufficient amount of education, the odds of an individual succeeding in the world are limited, if not nearly
impossible. The unemployment rate is lowest for those who graduate college, sitting at a 4.5% rate. The unemployment rate is highest for those who
did not receive a high school diploma at a 24% rate (citation). In the United States, the percent of the population who only have a high school

Reflection For Individualized Education Program
After collaborating with my mentor teacher about the curriculum, she asked me to look over the 1st grade and 2nd grade curriculum and pick
standards that I would want to teach, and modify the standard to fit the education levels of our students. While I was looking over the curriculum, I
wanted to pick a standard that would target all of our students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) math goals in some way. There were only
three standards that would be benefiting all of my students at this time. I showed my observations to my mentor teacher and she told me to do a
counting standard because this is something they work on all year long for each student to reach their goals. The decision that I made was to focus on
teaching students the concept of counting to twenty (20). My student friendly objective will be: I can identify and count numbers one to twenty. This
will be written on the objective board and will assessable for my student while I am teaching this content area.
The specific standard for first grade is 1.NBT.A.1, count to one hundred and twenty starting at any number less than one hundred and twenty. In this
range, read, and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral. For second grade the specific standard that would be in
works is 2.NBT.A.2, count within 1000; skip‐count by 5s, 10s, and 100s. Both of these standards came from the Arizona Department of Education
(ADE) website and are also a part of the Arizona College and Career

Career And Technical Education Programs
Career and Technical Education programs, known in the profession simply as CTE, provide students an opportunity to prepare for a wide range of
careers. Students are exposed many disciplines including health care, agriculture, business, and graphic design. Through these programs students get to
explore various career paths and get hands on training, which will help them to be more employable as they transition into the workforce.
Holland (2013) notes that, "Despite stubbornly high unemployment, many employers complain that they can't find qualified candidates. Often, the
mismatch results from applicants' inadequate communication skills."
As Holland points out, the need for skilled workers is extensive. In a time when unemployment rates are high there are plenty of people willing to
work, but because of a shortage in literacy skills and experience, there are not many people able to work in these positions. Students who participate in
CTE programs may be more prepared to enter the workforce because of the hands–on experience they receive in the classroom and through
co–curricular programs such as DECA or FFA.
In addition to not having experience, students are not employable because of their lack of communication skills. Students who are not literate are not
able to communicate in writing with clients, coworkers, or a supervisor. An inability to express oneself effectively and coherently will render an
individual unemployable. Why students are unable to

teachers where I'd even learn materials ahead of others. I began to research my work I couldn't understand and managed some time with sacrifices to

Inclusion Of The Special Education Program
A study revealed that learning is a process that happens under observable and ideal conditions to the extent that situations, in which students are placed
purposely or otherwise, had great effects on them.
There must be collaboration together between the special education program and the regular education to hand in hand assess the overall needs of
students with learning problems to cooperatively make efficient educational strategies to match the needs of the students (Will, 1986).
Sasartawi & Abdul Jabbar (2011) stated that inclusion is defined as the process of incorporating a child into a conventional educational environment as

Though instances are rough for the Hearing Impaired in their way of communication, students with hearing impairment are mostly attending to regular
schools and are being educated in general education set up. Children with hearing impairment obtain special education and related services under the
federal disability category of hearing impairments (Schildroth and Hotto, 1996; Gallaudet Research Institute, 2006). The main purpose of promoting
inclusion is to help individuals to be well equipped for life, gaining ideas from the norms, enjoying a typical life experiences, helping to cope up with
the attitudes of individuals without disabilities, and withstand discrimination in the society independently (Biklen et. Al.,1987). Inclusion has a great
part to deaf students' emotional growth and belongingness, embolden an admiration of variousness, and increases society's awareness of different
individual needs, and to regard the rights of various ethnicity (Majeed, 2008). In other areas in special education there has been also an increase in the
placement of students with disabilities (Friend & Bursuck, 1996). There are two types of inclusion: social inclusion (mainstreaming) and educational
inclusion (full inclusion). Stinson and Antia (1999) compared the two concepts in terms of three dimensions. For the educational setting dimension, the

Texas state test, the STAAR, is a little different than most of the other states test Common Core. All states have the same major requirements from
laws that were passed throughout the years. When there are standards and laws to follow there must be assessments to find out where the students

Children Act in 1975. This Act required major requirements for assessments. The first is that every child that has a disability is required to have an

Violence In Education Program Analysis
Educational programs can help reduce workplace violence, leading to increased patient and staff satisfaction. The goal is to provide ED nurses with the
proper preparation to handle violent situations. The skills that are learned during the educational component of the program can be implemented into
daily practice to raise awareness and cultivate a safer working environment. For unfortunate situations that do turn violent, the training may instill a
sense of confidence in the ED nurse on how to handle the situation properly.
There have been multiple studies that show a reduction in WPV after implementing educational program. Fernandes et al. (2002) conducted a study that
involved quantifying the amount of violence in an emergency department ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stakeholders also need to be fully invested in the importance of reporting all violent incidents. If violence is underreported, data results will be skewed
and prevention efforts will suffer. One study concluded that the underreporting of WPV is due to nurses' perception that reporting will not change the
atmosphere because violence is part a necessary, but unwanted part of the job (Gillespie et al., 2013). Administration plays a large part in addressing
other nurses on the utilization of the reporting system immediately after every violent event occurs. Administrative leaders in the ED need to
communicate the positive prevention outcomes that result from reporting violent events. Involving all stakeholders in the implementation process may
decrease these undesirable feelings towards decreasing WPV. A study by Arnetz et al. (2015) indicated that violence prevention efforts were more
sustainable when stakeholders fully participated in reporting events and developing data reports. Violence reduction cannot adequately take place until
stakeholders definitively embrace their irreplaceable role in the prevention

Sex Education Programs
Sex education programs were created to reduce the number of teen pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV/AIDS. For a long time there has
been a debate over which sex education method, comprehensive or abstinence only, should be taught to adolescents. Comprehensive sex education is
an approach that "advocates giving teens age–appropriate instruction concerning birth control methods, safe sex, and differing sexual orientations"
(Kelly, 2011, p. 153). This method may encourage abstinence or waiting until marriage, but they also want to inform adolescents about the potential
risks and how to protect themselves from pregnancy or disease. Abstinence only education is "an approach to educating young people that emphasizes
the need to abstain from sexual relations until marriage" (Kelly, 2011, p. 154). People who strongly believe in this method may think that informing
young people about contraception and sexual behaviors will encourage the behavior rather than deter it. The effectiveness of a program is dependant on
the training provided to the educators and how well young people are interpreting and applying the information. According to the textbook, "one study
found that adolescents who received comprehensive sexuality education had a slightly lower rate of intercourse and were less likely to report
pregnancy, but this was not the case with abstinence–only education" (Kelly, 2011, p. 155). This same study saw no reduction in the STD rates from

Homeless Education Programs
Hello Mr. Michael Bond and Terrence Falk,
My name is Shantice Clinton, I am a student at MATC and I am writing you to get more information on how to help the people in need with
educational benefits. What type of programs are you using for the disadvantages in unapproved areas? I know that we have the HEP "homeless
education program" but as a community what can we do to help others? I also was wondering what type of resources you would provide. I havr also
did research on the policies the government have on hunger.
As a community I feel that I can help others that are struggling around me. I also feel like people that are in need and wants to get helps would be
able to get the help they need. This also goes for the people that are not looking for help, us as a community can try to convenience others. I am also a
student and I am concerned about other students about getting their education. Thanks for taking the time to read this letter and please respond back

Higher Education Programs In Prisons
In this article why education programs in prisons should exist is explained. The article starts off by stating that studies conducted over the last couple
of decades has shown that prisons that have higher education programs created lower recidivism rates, reduction in crimes, saving to taxpayers, and
safety and well–being to the communities. Also, in these studies it was found that in 2011, 7 and 10 formerly incarcerated people will commit another
crime and half of those will wind up back in prison. 95 in 100 incarcerated will be integrated back into society, therefore higher education programs
must be implemented in all prisons. It was found that education programs in prisons are more effective at reducing recidivism rates compared to shock

Graduation Speech : Special Education Program
Usually high school students meet with the counselor and follow a determined set of coursework in order to graduate high school. However, if a
student has been identified as a special needs student, the process of signing up for classes is not as simple as for other students. When trying to earn a
high school diploma, special education students encounter difficulties not faced by their peers. The first step is for parents, school staff, and the student
to meet and determine the best option for the student in order to receive a diploma. Determining the student's path is called an IEP, individualized
education plan. All special education students have an IEP that identifies the courses they will take in high school and the plans they will pursue after
graduation. Students may choose from four paths: the traditional pathway, the career pathway, the occupational pathway, or the certificate of
completion. The traditional pathway, which most advisors put the student on at first, allows the student the option of going to college. The next is the
career pathway, which does not require a student to have an eligibility ruling for special education but still is another option if the student cannot
obtain a high school diploma through the traditional path. Third, occupational pathway is a way to receive a diploma and not have to achieve as many
credits or pass state test, but is still a difficult process. The last option for special education students is certificate of completion.

Special Education Program For Students
All students need to be able to get the most out of school as they can and it is important to give all student the same opportunity. There are programs are
made specifically for students that have learning impairment, physical disabilities, mental handicaps or language barriers to help them succeed like any
other student.
In Texas we have Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD), with is a document that explains an individual educational program (IEP) for students
within the special education program. When determining the child's placement it is necessary to keep in mind the student's level of academic
performance, functional performance and if the disability affects their participation in the classroom. The individuals involved in these meetings are the
parents, the regular teacher, special educational teacher, representative knowledgeable about resources in the local district, and a translator if needed.
Parental participation is the most effective way to help the student succeed under ARD, the parents are given a parent's guide which contains
information, their right and responsibility, which should be constantly reviewed to have accurate information about the child. The child's ARD record
should be at the school, in the school district, and with the local education agency to insure the student is being well instructed for the disability they
might have. Depending on their ARD circumstances students have the convenience to access assistive technology, behavioral

Childhood Education Program Analysis
When considering my admission into this program I would like EOP to consider my greatest qualities that I've gained from my childhood. Ever since I
was young, having non–English speaking parents who never had the chance to finish school, I was placed with several responsibilities. Outside of
school, I am a translator for my parents, a tutor for my younger sister and cousins, and a role model for them as well. Having these responsibilities
were difficult as a child, and are still difficult now sometimes. However, I've realized recently that I'm thankful for these responsibilities in my life
now more than ever. These responsibilities are the reason I have become a dependable, self–reliant, and responsible person. I also realized that it is these

their home school, which is now only Foshay. They are also required to take classes during Saturday in order for them to be able to better prepare

class in which they received a C or lower or take an extracurricular activity provided by the program If they are able to keep up with their work and

I have always had a passion for helping others. I can't remember a time in my life where seeing my actions allow someone else grow and succeed

Science and pursue law. With these degrees, I hope to help children all across the nation by creating curriculum and changing the rules of theeducation

I believe that the job analysis was extremely accurate; however the Myers–Briggs Test was not what I expected. All these years I hadthought I was an
ENFJ, but this test classified me as an ISFJ. I hypothesis this change was due to me taking the test much later. We as people go through many changes
and develop different habits throughout our life and the last time I took this test was in high school so perhaps I too have changed.
As for my personality traits matching with my dream job, strangely enough, instructional coordinators tend to be ENFJs, which is the Myer's Briggs
classification I originally thought I was. According to careerassessmentsite.com, instructional coordinators are in charge of managing and sometimes
creating educational content for different organizations and education sites ("Myers–Briggs Test ENFJ Personality Type Instructional Coordinators"
n.d.). Due to the requirements of their job, those who have this career usually have to enjoy working with others directly and create strong
relationships with those that they work with. It would also make sense that they need strong planning skills in order to coordinate and implement new
curriculum. Though my personality based of the most recent test I took doesn't directly line up with the "ideal" personality for the job, they is a bit of
overlap like the judging portion of my MBTI.

Career And Technical Education Program
Interest in Career and Technical Education programs as well as Career and Technical Student Organizations has heightened over the past ten years
(Wood, 2006; 2012). When I was a high school sophomore, I sat in an Introductory Accounting course taught by a gruff teacher named Edward Key.
While everyone else complained and fussed at learning the Accounting Equation of Assets = Liabilities + Owner's Equity, I hung on every debit and
credit and soon discovered that my love of numbers and financial matters could be turned in a profitable business. I soon began completing tax forms
for family members and continued through college. Supplementing my meager Work Study wages and even worked part time in the University Bursar
Office. I was then introduced to a student organization and began to increase my leadership and interpersonal skills. Yes, I was a Career and Technical
Education student and did not even know it at the time. Why should students enroll in Career and Technical Education programs of study is a question
asked by many students, parents and educators. Why are Career and Technical Student Organizations important for student growth and overall
maturation; and how does the combination of these two separate but deeply intertwined entities help a student become a well–rounded and productive
person who contributes to the workforce? These are all questions that educators, parents and industry partners realize can be answered by combining
enrollment in CTE programs

Aspects Of Education Voucher Programs
International experiences of education vouchers implementation and outcomes
Chile
The education voucher system was introduced in Chile in 1980, as part of an overall government free market package introduction. This approach
included fully subsidised, privately run and unregulated voucher schools introduced within the system. These schools could ultimately compete with
municipality–run public schools in all middle class and low–income metropolitan neighborhoods.
Evidence on the outcomes of the voucher program indicated there was some significant social and economic issues resulting. Firstly, total spending on
education (including parental contributions) fell. 'In 1985, the federal contribution was 80% of total educational spending, and ... Show more content on

It has been reported that the effects after 3 years of operation, lottery (voucher) winners generally had better educational outcomes than losers.
Although, schooling completion rates were not significantly increased with voucher holders only one–tenth more likely to remain in school
The voucher system in Colombia was discontinued from 1998 with the current government of the time indicating there was no measure of effectiveness
of the program.
Sweden
Sweden introduced a system of school vouchers in 1992 across both primary and secondary schools. The vouchers provided free choice for families to
send their children to publicly or privately run schools. Public funding from each municipality was then directed to schools based on their numbers of
students. Sweden's voucher policy allowed more accessibility of students to independently run private schools. Since introduction, however, Carnoy
indicates the original Swedish voucher model was replaced by direct subsidies regulated by municipalities.
While the voucher system was introduced to improve school quality and enhanced social equity, it is not clear that these outcomes have been achieved.
While there is no direct evidence that links the move of student to privately run schools with a fall in educational outcomes; it is clear that overall
Swedish international education test scores have fallen since 2000 in the PISA test .

Hong Kong introduced an early childhood education voucher system (the

Arts Education Program Analysis
What does a first–grade classroom have in common with the Louvre, the Richard Rodgers Theatre, or even Juilliard School in New York? Art.
Art–visual art, music, dance, and drama–is more than entertainment. Art plays a large role in shaping who we are and even our very culture. Arts
education is slipping by the wayside despite the many benefits of arts education. Therefore, elementary schools should work to incorporate more arts
education for students. There are numerous benefits of investing in arts education, especially for elementary school–aged children. Arts education has
been linked to creativity (Andersen, 2004; Leonhard, 1990). In art classes, children can explore and use their imaginations. Art classes allow children

Some may argue that adding an art class into a student's schedule will detract from instructional time in core classes, such as English or math.
However, this is not necessarily the case. Art classes can be split up throughout the week. Malin (2012) performed a study in a school that successfully
incorporated a similar program. Students in the school were involved in three various art classes each week. This can provide students an opportunity
to explore the arts and still receive ample instructional time for other classes. An additional concern is any potential conflicts with Common Core. A
framework meant to address this is the National Core Arts Standards. The purpose of the National Core Arts Standards is to incorporate the arts into the
curriculum (Wexler, 2014). By providing standards for arts education to follow, the arts can better be integrated into elementary

HL Education Program Analysis

  • 1. HL Education Program Analysis Assessments are important in determining the effectiveness of any education program. A properly formatted assessment can effectively measure how successful a HL program is to meeting the needs of the population (Altin et al., 2014). In order to successfully assess the effectiveness of the proposed HL education program and its ability to increase understanding of HL knowledge, tests and surveys will be administered throughout the program. A survey that determines how competent students are in regards to race and culture will be administered at the beginning of the course. Additionally, two large examinations that include both verbal and written skills will be being given at the beginning and end of the program. The first examination will ... • 2. The Importance of Literacy Programs in Education Abstract This research paper is intended to gather information on the subject of the practice implemented for reading and writing in primary level. However, the research paper continues to evolve to meet the needs of a world marked by continuous change or effective action. Crafted from the primary level literacy course, this broad in scope and thoroughly concerned with concrete problems or data rather than with fundamental principles text continues to cover the information needed by both new and experienced teachers in order to teach effective literacy in the primary level, thereby following this with the specific strategies to use in the classroom to develop successful teenage or primary readers and writers. Nevertheless, arousing or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For any teacher to be able to pass on sound knowledge of education to their scholars irrespective of the race or language of instruction they must have a pattern of teaching and monitor the progress of the students. The teachers must have a one on one or intimate teaching relationship with their scholars for them to have sound understanding on how to carry out their teaching pattern. Once the teacher is familiar with the scholars, depending on their level of knowledge, the introduction of phonetics and vowels and how to make up words through, speaking, reading and listening will be the basic teaching pattern (Richards & Rodgers 2001, p.21). The language of instruction must be put into consideration since most of the scholars are classified as international students. They have to be instructed in a clear and loud voice and every word or assignment being taught has to be repeated before and after writing it down on the blackboard (Richards & Rodgers, 2001, p.11). On achieving this, great emphasis will be laid on the introduction of the different parts of speech or structuring of grammar and rhetoric (e.g. phrases, clauses and sentences) which will help the students build up on how to make sentences and where to ... • 3. Graduation Speech : Special Education Program Students enrolled in special education programs are generally defined as passive learners. Many students in the special education program transfer their passive classroom learning into their knowledge of their Individualized Education Program (IEP) and rarely demonstrate self–determination skills. Few students attend their IEP meeting and fewer students know their IEP goals and goal areas. Thus, the students in thespecial education setting display a lack of involvement and participation in their IEP, including the accommodations and modifications available to help them succeed. This researcher has found that most of the students in the special education program at a rural northwest Iowa high school where she teaches are not actively involved in their own IEP process. Also, the students do not understand why they are in the special education program; therefore, they do not attend IEP meetings and are not active participants in goal setting and transition planning. Context of the Problem Only two of the 24 students being served in the researcher's rural school district could explain when and why they were placed in the special education program, the purpose of the IEP meeting, and accommodations available to help them succeed. These same two students were the only two to attend their annual IEP meeting. When asked by the researcher why the students did not attend the IEP annual meeting the most common response was, "They don't need me." Hypothesis and Variables Studied ... • 4. Planning Education Training Programs Planning education training programs Planning involves, among other things, interaction with people, organizing resources and having in mind the interests of people. It is, therefore, inevitable that there will be issues of influence and power that would result. Some areas that conflict may arise include cross–gender interactions, inter–ethnic or inter–racial interactions, committees, and decision making forums (Munduate, 2003). There arises an issue whenever one power tries to exert influence over another person. Therefore, one must be open to these instances that may result in conflict or attrition. Determining sources of conflict in interactions is an essential aspect in managing power issues (Munduate, 2003). One's reaction should enhance the value in individuals and minimize conflict by using language and body language. This means that careful choice of words is essential to exert influence despite conflict. Although power imply control, power is significant to ensure implementation of plans. Therefore, there should be a positive outlook to power issues. Power issues spill over into negotiations and influence the outcomes. There are different skills in negotiation, but it is necessary to ensure a win–win situation. There are several things that one should have in mind. These include goals, tradeoffs, alternatives, expected outcomes, and the relationships of all people in the negotiation. Emotion may play a part in the negotiation, and it is necessary to maintain ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Alternative Education Programs In the world of education today many middle schools and high schools are looking at alternative education programs that truly prepare students with severe disabilities for the "real world" after high school. Unfortunately, many high schools are so concerned with high school credits that they do not even look into better alternative education programs. Numerous high schools rely on computer programs that assist students in obtaining their high school credits without being in the regular school setting. There are many methods a school can begin to use to turn an alternative education program around. Some of these ways include the use of activity schedules, community involvement and summer employment, assistive technology, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the heightened emphasis on employment preparation due to the disappointing post school employment outcomes for students with severe disabilities, the fact that receiving work experiences during high school is among the most important predictor of favorable post school employment, and the fact that working during high school can contribute to the enhancement of students' autonomy, identity, career awareness and aspirations, values, skills, knowledge, and development. Summer months offer time for students with severe disabilities to gain work–related experiences that could further their transition–related goals and prepare them for future careers. (Carter, Ditchman, Sun, Trainor, Swedeen, and Owens, 2010) Many schools focus so much on post school employment that little focus is given to regular education courses that could assist students with disabilities. Assistive technology such as handheld computers and compatible software assist students at school and at home. Assistive technology can assist students in note–taking, animating concepts, word processing, self–management, organization, beaming, cooperative learning, spontaneous interaction, and reinforcing concepts. Many post education careers involve these skills. However, without the proper education and use of assistive technology many students do not have many successful coping skills for "real world" problems. Assistive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Looking at it from this standpoint, we can say physical education will have meaning when all of these factors are contributed and put together. We have to work together to implement physical education in the schools, but it will all be worth it in the long run (France, 2011, p.51). Staff, as stated from the article written by Huberty, is a big part of a school'sphysical education program. Most of the participants and staff from this study believe physical activity is important, but limited because of the amount of homework given, pressure from peers, and the lack of ability to perform at home because of limited equipment. I believe all of these factors are important because this is something very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most important part about a physical education lesson is so each and every student is participating to his or her fullest and best ability, while also learning something. Whether or not a lesson has to be differentiated or adapted, they should all be learning (Ebbeck, 2015, p. 54). Saving the best for last, obesity. According to schools in Texas and Governor Rick Perry, these schools will be participating in physical education to reduce the beginning of diabetes. Since America is considered overweight, they did not think there was a better way to hopefully decrease obesity than to incorporate more physical education in to schools. "Kindergarten through fifth grade graders are required to exert for thirty minutes during PE or structured recess, which students will begin this fall" (Obesity, 2007, p.1). This also goes along with the taking away of recesses. We should not be taking away things, which benefit our students' lives. • 8. Instructional Programs For Technology Education To develop meaningful instructional programs for technology education, goals need to be in place to direct the outcomes of curriculum development and teaching. They go beyond everyday teaching objectives; they are directed at long–term learning and programmatic outcomes. Performance standards measure how much of the content the student is proficient. Opportunity–to–learn standards ensure the learning is student focused, everyone has a right to education and that education should be learner centered. For an educational technology standard to be most effective it needs to recognize these three standards. International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) has accomplished this with its NationalEducational Technology Standards (NETS). The standards provided by NETS provide a comprehensive set of goals to encourage a technology integrated education. Introducing educational technology into the developing world is multidimensional and requires many basic issues to be recognized and addressed. It is becoming recognized that telecentres and the use of ICT in developing countries to assist in meeting the Millennium Development Goals is becoming increasingly viable. • 9. Prison Education Programs Introduction The U.S. penal population of 2.2 million adults is the largest in the world (Glaze, 2011). The prisons in the United States are described as "human warehouses" rather than rehabilitative centers (Contardo & Erisman, 2005). A method to rehabilitate prisoners is through the use of educational programs. A 2014 U.S National Research Council report stated literacy rates among prisoners is generally low, and substantially lower than in general population (Davis, 2014). Those who hope to successfully rehabilitate prisoners point to increasing the literacy levels of these individuals before they re–enter the community. The focus of the research is to determine if prisoners who participate in correctional education programs has an impact on recidivating. The purpose of this research is to use empirical data to express the relationship between adult education and decreased recidivism. The cost of correctional educational programs varies; but, in general the latest figures range from $140,000 to $174,000 per 100 inmates (Davis, 2014). In essence, that translates to approximately $1,400 to $1,744 per inmate each year. The opponents of correctional education policies only evaluate the cost spent, but advocates for the programs state the cost of incarceration is too high to not consider correctional education. She stresses that getting an individual with autism in the right program is the most important step. Due to everything being new for a student with autism, it is crucial that the student, parents, teachers, and the IEP team have a strong relationship. This mother's story relates to the most significant pillar, an individualized education program because she has the right to be persistent in advocating for her son. Professionals encourage parents to join a support group to learn new treatment plan and receive emotional support advice. An article written by Melinda Smith, Jeanne Segal, and Ted Hutman states that in order to help children with autism be successful, they first need "structure and safety"; second, "nonverbal ways to connect"; and third, "a personalized autism treatment plan." Parents are able to provide the structure by providing a consistent schedule, rewards for good behavior, and a safe zone for their child. A safe zone is a place for a child to go and relax while feeling secure. Parents are able to provide connections by watching their child for nonverbal methods of communication. If parents are aware of their child's behavior when they want or need certain things they can better respond to the situation and help the child feel more secure. Additionally, parents should always make time for fun with their child, no matter the circumstances. • 11. The Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program The Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program also known, as the D.A.R.E program is a worldwide school–based program that helps reach out to children (elementary, middle, and high school) to prevent drug and violence abuse. This program does not discriminate in any case, therefore it consists of children all different colors, shapes, and sizes. Since drug and violence abuse was rising at incredible increments in the 1970's and early 80's, a Los Angeles Police Chief and the Los Angeles School District in 1983 founded the Drug Abuse ResistanceEducation Program. There are twelve key critical components in this program, each and every component is required to have a successful impact. Some such as: joint planning (which comes from the parents), education agencies, and law enforcement agencies. These come together as one and prepares a plan for the child and a written agreement which requires the child to sign a contract that indicates full respect to the parents, law enforcement agencies, and education agencies requiring full commitment to the drug and violence prevention program. The major goal for D.A.R.E. is to assist school children in resistance skills and prevent drug abuse amongst them. • 12. Admission And The Teacher Education Program Admission to the Teacher Education Program Growing up, I always knew that teaching was my passion. Teaching was something that I wanted to do, because I had a love for working with children. I also had a love for helping others to reach their fullest potential, no matter how hard it was. Teaching is something that shows me the greatest outcome. One day I will get to watch the children that I taught and helped make a difference in achieving their dreams. Throughout my time here at Newberry College, I have had some awesome experiences that have influenced the way that I will teach. Education 232, and Elementary Geometry 222 have had the greatest influences. A teacher that I worked with while I was a senior in HighSchool has also influenced me. All of these experiences will lead me into being the best teacher that I can be. Education 232 has been the best learning experience in the education department for me so far. This course taught me that it is ok to see differences in students but not to treat them differently. Classrooms are a diverse learning environment, and learning about them in this course has better prepared me for seeing these diversities in the field. Diversity is a major thing to recognize when going into a classroom. Diversity sets one student apart from another. It not only includes talking about students that look different but also the ones that learn different. As a teacher it will be my responsibility to practice equity in order that I ... • 13. Alternative Education Schools and Programs Alternative Education Alternative education was once considered a solution only necessary for children with special needs. As society changes, so does the prominence of issues within it. In our current society, education is mandatory in order for an individual to be successful in the future. Although this may seem like a simple task to accomplish, the generalized form of education is not sufficient for students who have different needs from the typical student. These needs can include disabled needs or special education, at risk or troubled needs, gifted and talented needs, or students who speak English as a second language. Alternative education schools and programs provide the individualized instruction that will help these students become successful. In order to ensure that these students will receive the education necessary for success, the privilege of alternative education needs to be used to its best advantage. If it is used efficiently, then more students will have a successful education and future, therefore it will positively impact the future of the world. Without a sufficient amount of education, the odds of an individual succeeding in the world are limited, if not nearly impossible. The unemployment rate is lowest for those who graduate college, sitting at a 4.5% rate. The unemployment rate is highest for those who did not receive a high school diploma at a 24% rate (citation). • 14. Reflection For Individualized Education Program After collaborating with my mentor teacher about the curriculum, she asked me to look over the 1st grade and 2nd grade curriculum and pick standards that I would want to teach, and modify the standard to fit the education levels of our students. While I was looking over the curriculum, I wanted to pick a standard that would target all of our students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) math goals in some way. There were only three standards that would be benefiting all of my students at this time. I showed my observations to my mentor teacher and she told me to do a counting standard because this is something they work on all year long for each student to reach their goals. The decision that I made was to focus on teaching students the concept of counting to twenty (20). My student friendly objective will be: I can identify and count numbers one to twenty. This will be written on the objective board and will assessable for my student while I am teaching this content area. The specific standard for first grade is 1.NBT.A.1, count to one hundred and twenty starting at any number less than one hundred and twenty. In this range, read, and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral. For second grade the specific standard that would be in works is 2.NBT.A.2, count within 1000; skip‐count by 5s, 10s, and 100s. • 15. Career And Technical Education Programs Career and Technical Education programs, known in the profession simply as CTE, provide students an opportunity to prepare for a wide range of careers. Students are exposed many disciplines including health care, agriculture, business, and graphic design. Through these programs students get to explore various career paths and get hands on training, which will help them to be more employable as they transition into the workforce. Holland (2013) notes that, "Despite stubbornly high unemployment, many employers complain that they can't find qualified candidates. Often, the mismatch results from applicants' inadequate communication skills." As Holland points out, the need for skilled workers is extensive. In a time when unemployment rates are high there are plenty of people willing to work, but because of a shortage in literacy skills and experience, there are not many people able to work in these positions. Students who participate in CTE programs may be more prepared to enter the workforce because of the hands–on experience they receive in the classroom and through co–curricular programs such as DECA or FFA. In addition to not having experience, students are not employable because of their lack of communication skills. Students who are not literate are not able to communicate in writing with clients, coworkers, or a supervisor. The main purpose of promoting inclusion is to help individuals to be well equipped for life, gaining ideas from the norms, enjoying a typical life experiences, helping to cope up with the attitudes of individuals without disabilities, and withstand discrimination in the society independently (Biklen et. In 1975 Congress passed Education for All Handicapped Children Act in 1975. This Act required major requirements for assessments. The first is that every child that has a disability is required to have an individualized education program (IEP) (27). Secondly, the Act state that each evaluation procedure is protected (27). The goal is to provide ED nurses with the proper preparation to handle violent situations. For unfortunate situations that do turn violent, the training may instill a sense of confidence in the ED nurse on how to handle the situation properly. Administration plays a large part in addressing other nurses on the utilization of the reporting system immediately after every violent event occurs. Administrative leaders in the ED need to communicate the positive prevention outcomes that result from reporting violent events. Involving all stakeholders in the implementation process may decrease these undesirable feelings towards decreasing WPV. A study by Arnetz et al. • 24. Sex Education Programs Sex education programs were created to reduce the number of teen pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV/AIDS. For a long time there has been a debate over which sex education method, comprehensive or abstinence only, should be taught to adolescents. Comprehensive sex education is an approach that "advocates giving teens age–appropriate instruction concerning birth control methods, safe sex, and differing sexual orientations" (Kelly, 2011, p. 153). This method may encourage abstinence or waiting until marriage, but they also want to inform adolescents about the potential risks and how to protect themselves from pregnancy or disease. Abstinence only education is "an approach to educating young people that emphasizes the need to abstain from sexual relations until marriage" (Kelly, 2011, p. 154). People who strongly believe in this method may think that informing young people about contraception and sexual behaviors will encourage the behavior rather than deter it. The effectiveness of a program is dependant on the training provided to the educators and how well young people are interpreting and applying the information. According to the textbook, "one study found that adolescents who received comprehensive sexuality education had a slightly lower rate of intercourse and were less likely to report pregnancy, but this was not the case with abstinence–only education" (Kelly, 2011, p. 155). This same study saw no reduction in the STD rates from either form of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 31. Graduation Speech : Special Education Program Usually high school students meet with the counselor and follow a determined set of coursework in order to graduate high school. However, if a student has been identified as a special needs student, the process of signing up for classes is not as simple as for other students. When trying to earn a high school diploma, special education students encounter difficulties not faced by their peers. The first step is for parents, school staff, and the student to meet and determine the best option for the student in order to receive a diploma. Determining the student's path is called an IEP, individualized education plan. All special education students have an IEP that identifies the courses they will take in high school and the plans they will pursue after graduation. Students may choose from four paths: the traditional pathway, the career pathway, the occupational pathway, or the certificate of completion. The traditional pathway, which most advisors put the student on at first, allows the student the option of going to college. The next is the career pathway, which does not require a student to have an eligibility ruling for special education but still is another option if the student cannot obtain a high school diploma through the traditional path. Third, occupational pathway is a way to receive a diploma and not have to achieve as many credits or pass state test, but is still a difficult process. The last option for special education students is certificate of completion. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Sweden Sweden introduced a system of school vouchers in 1992 across both primary and secondary schools. The vouchers provided free choice for families to send their children to publicly or privately run schools. Public funding from each municipality was then directed to schools based on their numbers of students. Sweden's voucher policy allowed more accessibility of students to independently run private schools.
