5. What challenges does it cause to our
targeted group?
Misused technology may cause:
• Cyber-bullying
• Inappropriate content
• Data theft
• Malicious software
• Internet addiction.
6. Why is this plan important?
• To enhance the normal behavior when using
technology tools by learners in order to
minimize the misuse of technology and
maximize its beneficial use.
7. What are our goals to support the
implementation of this plan?
• 3 Goals:
1- Create a curriculum that incorporates most of
the nine elements e.g “free digital access, the use
of the technology securely and safely, emphasize
on digital etiquette”.
2- Educate the school staff by providing them free
digital citizenship courses.
8. What are our goals to support the
implementation of this plan?
3- Evaluate the plan by doing a semi-annual
student evaluation where learners should:
• -Easily identify various technology tools in order
to find quality information.
• -Identify “cyber-bullying, plagiarism, illegal use”
and know how to deal with it and report it.
9. • To enforce these changes, teachers and parents
have to work together.
• By bridging the digital divide, we have a better
chance in improving the digital citizenship
awareness plan.
