2.  Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a long-
term autoimmune disorder that primarily
affects joints. It typically results in warm,
swollen, and painful joints. Pain and stiffness
often worsen following rest.

3.  Felty’s syndrome is characterized by the
combination of rheumatoid arthritis,
splenomegaly and neutropenia.
 Also known as Felty syndrome
 The condition is more common in those aged
50–70 years, and is more prevalent in females
than males and more in Caucasians than those
of African descent.

4.  Rheumatiod vasculitis refers to a destructive,
inflammatory process that is centered on the
blood vessel wall itself. The condition occurs in
patients with longstanding, severe rheumatoid
arthritis (RA).
 RV is often associated with substantial
potential morbidity, requires intensive
immunosuppressive therapy, and leads to a
significantly higher mortality than RA itself.

5.  Rheumatoid bursitis is inflammation of a
bursa, a small fluid-filled sac that acts as a
cushion between a bone and muscle, skin or
tendon.
 The type of bursitis depends on the location of
the affected bursa. This condition commonly
affects the shoulder, elbow, hip, buttocks,
knees and calf.

6.  Rheumatoid nodule is a local swelling or
tissue lump, usually rather firm to touch, like
an unripe fruit, which occurs almost
exclusively in association with rheumatoid
arthritis.

7.  Juvenile arthritis (JA) is not a disease in itself.
Also known as pediatric rheumatic disease, JA
is an umbrella term used to describe the many
autoimmune and inflammatory conditions or
pediatric rheumatic diseases that can develop
in children under the age of 16.
 Gout is a form of inflammatory arthritis
characterized by recurrent attacks of a red,
tender, hot, and swollen joint.Pain typically
comes on rapidly in less than twelve hours.
