Evaluation
I like that my magazine contains a good house style using a yellow background and black text. I could
not make the font on the pages the same because I used a different software to create each page and
the original font used on the front cover was not available to use on the contents page software.
I am pleased with how the picture I have used for the front cover has been edited to look more
professional by simply cropping it and healing areas that stopped there being a solid yellow background
such as the folds in the paper and dots of other colours which can be seen in the original picture.
The picture that is being used for the front cover represents the theme of this issue of the magazine
well with the subject doing something stereotypical for science.
I feel the contents did not have the same positive outcome as the front cover.
I did not have any pictures prepared for this page which make it look very plain and unappealing whilst
leaving a considerable amount of empty space on the page. To improve this I could have gone and taken
some pictures that fit with pages mentioned in the contents. Another way for me to improve this space
would be to add more pages which the magazine would be likely to contain.
My thoughts about the contents page are not all negative as I do think the page design is still appealing
with a shade of yellow connoting happiness within the magazine.
The page lacking information could also be seen as a positive because it is not overwhelming the reader
which is not likely to be reading the magazine for masses of information considering the age group of
11-16 year olds.
