2. To attract our audience for the film I would firstly create three accounts which are cheap, simply and
effective when used correctly. These are:
• Facebook Fan Page
• Twitter
• Snapchat
On these accounts we would provide information on the film and any screening times at local cinemas.
We would also advertise any offers for online copies or DVD sales
On the Facebook page particularly we would offer a ratings, comment and review section allowing our
audience once attracted to comment there thoughts on the piece, allowing us to gain feedback to
improve next time and see what features the audience liked.
To aid the distribution we would market cleverly. Through the means of cheap advertising and posters
we would get the word out to as many people as possible. Then we would use websites such as
survey monkey to create a free survey for our friends to complete on the best way we can distribute
the film for the audiences needs. The posters created would be exciting and eye catching and placed
around train stations and bus stops, were lots of people travel through on a regular basis.
3. Furthermore, we would create an action packed trailer to be played on Facebook as and advert and
before YouTube videos, forcing people to watch it to carry on to watch their desired video on the
website.
To address our audience we would listen to their needs through reading their opinions on
questionnaires and feedback from the survey.
From the feedback from the questionnaire we completed before starting the production of our media
piece we noticed a majority of thriller watchers were male. So to address this factor we added decided
to make the antagonist female to break stereotypes and attract a more female audience as it breaks
the norm.
