• Tourism is the commercial organization and operation of holidays and visits to
places of interest. Tourism in Pakistan has been stated by the Lonely Planet magazine
as being the tourism industry's "next big thing". Pakistan, with its diverse cultures,
people and landscapes attracted 1 million tourists in 2012.

4. Swat Valley
• Swat is a valley and an administrative district in the
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. It is the
upper valley of the Swat River, which rises in the
Hindu Kush range.
5. Badshahi Mosque
• The Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, commissioned by the
sixth Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1671 and completed
in 1673, is the second largest mosque in Pakistan and
South Asia and the fifth largest mosque in the world
6. Mohenjodaro
• Mohenjo-daro is an archeological site in the province
of Sindh, Pakistan. Built around 2600 BC, it was one of the
largest settlements of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, and
one of the world's earliest major urban settlements,
contemporaneous with the civilizations of ancient
Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Crete. Mohenjo-daro was abandoned
in the 19th century BCE, and was not rediscovered until 1922.
Significant excavation has since been conducted at the site of
the city, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage
Site in 1980. The site is currently threatened by erosion and
improper restoration.
