This fascinating and informative documentary was researched and filmed in several different cities in India, as well as some small towns. The
film focuses on two main groups of people dedicated to saving Indian children, mostly young girls, from the bondage of servitude and slavery. The
first group featured is called South Asian Coalition on Child Servitude, or as most people call it, SACCS. This human rights organization is headed
by activist Kailash Satyarthi. Mr. Satyarthi is also a member of a High Level Group that was formed by the United Nations Educational Scientific
and Cultural Organization, always called by its acronym, UNESCO, and an agency of the United Nations. In one scene, Satyarthi successfully
convinces Indian fathers to allow their daughters to go to school. The other group featured in the documentary is called STOP, and they mainly focus
on rescuing girls from the sex trafficking trade. Rinku is the frontline activist who helps rescue girls on behalf of the STOP program, and takes the
lead in running the shelter where she and the girls they rescue stay. She is a brave, young, 19–year–old girl, and was at one time herself, a victim of the

Slavery is not considered an institution within itself. However during the eighteenth century the Bible and ancient Greek practices was used to justify
slavery. The first account of slavery references to Genesis Chapter nine where Noah's son Ham was cursed and the curse was placed upon darker skin
of color. Thus as the story unfolds Ham's descendants were cursed forever. Therefore, theoretically since Africans were already slaves and inferior they
should remain in slavery. The defense is recognized as the "Pro–slavery Argument". According to emich.edu the pro–slavery argument was used against
the abolitionist movement.
The other component of slavery is slaves often encaptured because of war and conquest. The English put the slaves to work for profit and to ease their
workload. The English did not have the physical endurance to sustain harsh conditions. As a result in 1442 Europe brought the African slaves from the
West Indies because of their physical endurance. Thereafter transporting slaves began as an entrepreneur occupation for British seamen. So the British
captured slaves for sugar farming to sweeten coffee and tea enslaving Africans for over four hundred years.
According to author William A Smith D.D. he defines slavery in the Lectures on the Philosophy and Practice ofSlavery In the United States with the

What is the name and description of the policy solution and/or program analyzed? Indiana's current state policy that protects and provides assistance to
victims and families of human trafficking is known as the Indiana code 35–42–3.5–1, otherwise known as the promotion of human trafficking; sexual
trafficking; human trafficking (Ind. Code В§ 35–42–3.5–1 : Indiana Code – Section 35–42–3.5–1: Promotion of human trafficking; sexual trafficking

Human trafficking has always been a though subject. Most Americans prefer to believe that this is a problem of the past, that it simply does not occur
anymore. Others accept the fact that human trafficking exist, but in a far away reality, an incident homed only in poor, third world countries. This

Human trafficking is the illegal movement of people, usually for labor or sex. It can be done anywhere and everywhere. "Human trafficking is the
third–largest criminal activity in the world." ("Human Trafficking/Involuntary Servitude"). Sadly, most people do not realize this is done easily and
often. It needs to stop now. There are little girls out there getting hurt by being sexual exploited, sold into prostitution, forced into labor or slavery,
removal of organs, or even worse. It's not just little girls either; about 3,698 out of 4,460 were women, so that means 660 of these people were not
women, and 2,812 out of 4,460 were adults. ("Hotline Statistics"). These are some scary statistics. Another frightening fact is "Almost four million

I volunteered there for about 3 months; therefore, I can confirm that these resources are available immediately. While I was volunteering there, I seen
victims come and go and I saw the case management staff provide shelter on a same day basis. I also observed the agency hand out food and money

The United States has been fixated on its mission to abolish the sex industry since the start of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. George W. Bush
and Congress created the United States Leadership against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Act of 2003 with the intention of funding beneficial
programs furthering the research and accessibility of HIV/AIDS treatment. (Middleberg, 2006). The beneficiaries of this funding must show their

Organizations are working at local regional and international levels. Arizona League to end Human Trafficking is one such organization. This is a
regional nongovernmental organization in Arizona that represents communities, law enforcement, nonprofit organizations and citizens and works

second example of an international organization working towards combating human trafficking. It is based in the Unites States and it provides services

Legal Prostitution And Its Effect On Society
It is strange to think of how the oldest profession is being found as something of a harmful nature, which must be illegal. But legal prostitution is seen
by a rather large number of individuals to have a negative effect on today 's society. These are the people who are forcing women into illegalprostitution
, which is far more destructive, due to many factors. The Webster dictionary defines prostitution as the business or practice of engaging in sexual
relations in exchange for some other benefit. For as long back as we have records, evidence can be found of people selling sex for some sort of gain.
When the colonists were running around slaughtering the natives, they also were enjoying the pleasures of local prostitutes. In fourth century,
Athenian orator Apollodorus stated "we have courtesans for pleasure, and concubines for the daily service of our bodies, but wives for the production
of legitimate offspring and to have reliable guardians of our household property"(Dauphin). And yet in "progressive" America, a land where people
claim to be the most socially advanced, prostitution is an illegal act that results in the sheltering of rapists, drug dealers, and abusers. Even though
legalization/ decriminalization of prostitution increase the motivation of men to buy women for sex, prostitution should be legal but highly regulated
because prostitutes are not committing an inherently harmful act and sex work is legitimate work and the problems within the industry are not

Arguments Against Human Trafficking
It would seem human trafficking, the second largest illegal trade in the world with currently over thirty million victims according to William
Spindler from UNHCR, has no laws trying to combat it or nobody working to get rid of it. However, you would be wrong, though many laws, bills,
and even sanctions are against it, and many people working to get rid of it, none of this is helping the trafficking problem. New bills against human
trafficking are being revised, written, and passed more commonly than ever yet human trafficking is at an all time high. One reason is because these

According to the article "Do U.S. sanctions effectively combat human trafficking?", most victims of human trafficking are extremely poor and
lured into human trafficking. Human traffickers will often place ads on the internet or in a newspaper about a job (often modeling or becoming a
nanny) targeting extremely poor and desperate people. People will then see these jobs and contact the "employer" and schedule an interview.
Traffickers will then trick future "employees" into signing a contract to be trafficked, or even kidnap them and then force them to participate in
human trafficking. These people being tricked into trafficking are often very poor and see a job opportunity far away, that offers great benefits,
and no past experiences, or higher education and jump at the chance right away with no suspicion. With some much poverty in the world, there
will always be plenty of easy targets for human traffickers. Laws can only do so much to help stop human trafficking, poverty needs to be stopped
so people are not at risk for being tricked into trafficking. By helping decrease the amount of poverty, people become less desperate to find well
paying jobs with not very many requirements. People will be more willing to research the job opportunities to make sure their possible future
employers are not traffickers. Instead of creating lots of ineffective laws and bills against human trafficking, we need to create safe jobs for people in
need of them. By creating secure jobs, it becomes less likely that someone will be tricked into working for a human trafficker. Human trafficking needs
to be stopped at the source, poverty, otherwise trafficking will never be
