How did you use media technologies in
the construction, research, planning and
evaluation stages?

2. I have used lots of different technologies to create and
present my work. All of which I have used Blogger
to record and present this, through out the different
stages of production, construction, research,
planning and the evolution stages.
Blogger is a blog publishing website on the internet,
which has allowed me to create blog entries using
different technologies and packages to present and
record all my Media Advance Portfolio coursework.
Internet
I have used the Internet software’s of Safari and
Google Chrome throughout the course. I have used
the internet to access Blogger to present and record
my work, use different available technologies on the
internet as ways to present my work, access my
E-mail Account’s and a way to do most of my
research.

3. Research
I often used the search engine Google to do my
research, I have also the sites Wikipedia and
YouTube to do some research.
Using these sites have helped with my research into
my work related to:
-Finding information about specific -Research in to the musical genres of
audiences & the target audience soul
of the products that I have -Research into the original artists and
created other related musicians
-Learning and finding out about the -Research in to the original artist

4. Myself and other group members have used our
E-mail Accounts and Mobile Phones during the
research and planning stages to contact locations
to get permission to film. Also we have used out e-

mail accounts to request for lyrics and send
copyright clearance letter to use the song Wonder
by Naughty Boy featuring Emeli Sande.

5. Technologies I Have Used Via the Internet
I have used technologies on the internet as was to present my
work on Blogger though the different stages of construction,
research, production and evaluation. I would create what I
want to create on the website, and then I would either copy
the ULR and embed it to the post of the blog or screenshot /
save the image I want and then import the image on to the
post.

6. Photobucket & Flickr
Photobucket and Flickr are both photo hosting, slideshow crating and photo sharing
websites. I have used these technologies to present my photos, images and
screenshots in slideshows, documenting what I have doing visually.

Wordle
I have used Wordle’s to show text which I would usually list in, a visually exciting way.

SlideShare
It is a slide hosting service. I have used this to present work I have created using
PowerPoints. Any example of using SlideShare is this answer to the evaluation of

question 3 as it was made on PowerPoint and uploaded using SlideShare.
Prezi
Prezi is a cloud base presentation software, where I have made presentations, for
example as a group we decided to create our Pitch using Prezi. We were able to
create a moving presentation with images, videos, links and text we also uploaded
it on the blog.

GoAnimate
GoAnmiate is a site which allows me to create short animation videos. I mainly used it
to present feedback which has been given to me based on my work, using
characters to representing people and writing the script, if I had not recorded the

Photovisi
Is another site I have used to present photos, images and screenshots, but instead of
creating slideshows it creates collage which I upload on my blog.

I have used this website to analyse and look at previous students music videos. Also it

7. In order to access the internet I need to use a device with
internet access.
Throughout the course I have used iMac’s in the media
department, my Toshiba Laptop and my Android Phone to
access the internet.

Using iMac’s and my laptop has also allowed me to take
screenshots of what I am doing on the devices and use
softwares and packages (technologies) to create and present
my work throughout the sages of the course.

8. Technologies I have used on iMac / Laptop
Camtasia 2
I have Camtasia 2 though the production and construction stages of my work to
demonstrate / show and explain what I am doing or have done by recording the
screen with voice over. It was also used to create the moodboards based on the

genre of the chosen song the time during the research stage and used to create a
digital animatic during the planning stage.

I have used photobooth throughout all the stages during the course of my work to record
myself, to create vlogs about things work / blog reflection and reviews of days.

This is important software I have used throughout the course and all the stages. This is
because a lot of my work are video files and in order for the videos to be posted on
my blog the videos had to be a small file. So I have used MPEG Steamclip to
condense and make the video files smaller so it could be posted on my blog. Also I

9. Music Video

10. Ancillary Products
I have used Photoshop Elements to create all my ancillary products. The
photographs I have used are photographs I have taken myself using a
still camera.

me to do and use tools such as the text tool to add text, crop tool to
remove part of the image I don’t want to use, colour picker to use the
same colour choose for something else, blur tool to blur parts of the
images and quick selection tool to select certain areas of the image /
photograph. I have also been able to adjusted the colour of images a lot
by either changing the levels, shadows & highlights or brightness &
contrast.

Other Technologies I Have Used
I have used a Still Camera to take photographs of images to upload
on my blog or to use while creating the ancillary products

used a Flip Camera to record audience feedback for the products I
have created.
I have used a Video Drive and USB to store all my work, so it can
also be used again.

11. Android Phone
Throughout this media course I have used my phone for
different reasons. I have used it to take images on it
that I have later posted on the blog, use it watched
music videos on my phone during the research by
using the YouTube app and to go to see my blog when
I am not near my laptop or a computer. I have used it
to keep in contact with other group members to plan
when and where we were going to meet during the
filming of the music video.
It also has acted as an external storage for storing some
images. Other external storages that I have used are

all the stages of my work.

12. Media Technologies used for Evaluation
As I need to show a use of different technologies when
answering the questions for the evaluation I have plan to
use:
Question 1 – Camtasia, I plan to use it to create a short video

Question 2 – Prezi, I want to crate a presentation on Prezi as
