Starfighter training
1. Starfighter Training is the first game within a series where a player can learn how to pilot a starfighter in a
3-D environment using the laws of physics that occur in space. With usual starfighter games, the laws of
physics are the same as flying through an atmosphere, making this game so unique and the first of its
kind. Played on any smartphone, Starfighter Training does exactly what the name says, train you to
become an expert starfighter pilot. With two buttons to control your movement as well as the
accelerometer found in most smartphones, this game is a simple, yet in-depth training guide that will keep
the player entertained for hours.
Starfighter Training starts off on Level 1, where the player begins their journey through space. The player
has a fixed perspective looking through the cockpit of the starfighter in space. On this level, the pilot can
get used to controlling the starfighter including its movement, speed, and weaponry. The player controls
the starfighter by tilting and twisting the smartphone to change direction that the aircraft is facing. Once
the pilot can get the hang of moving through space, they are given the chance to shoot their first asteroid.
Each asteroid successfully shot will give the pilot a point. The more points accumulated, the faster the
pilot can level up to unlock more features in the game. Starting at level 5, there are optional
enhancements to customize your starfighter for various prices. For example, the pilot can change the
color of his starfighter for a one-time fee of $0.99. With each new level, more items to be purchased will
be unlocked. These purchases are completely optional, thus the player can successfully continue the
game for free if they choose to do so.
Once the player hits level 10, he/she has the option of posting their score on the Space Board. The
Space Board contains high scores from other players around the world. This puts the player in a setting of
competition, urging them to play on and become the #1 player in the world.
The market that we will most likely connect to is anyone who can pick up a smart phone. This game does
not involve complex math so younger age groups will be interested. Starfighter Training can include
anywhere from simple to complex strategies that will attract teens all the way up to seniors. The only
requirement for this game is to own a smart phone.
What is unique about this game, as mentioned before, is its connection with real world physics. The
starfighter will move just like it would maneuver itself in real space. This ensures that the player can
become an expert at flying the aircraft, just like if they could in real life. Another one of a kind aspect of
this game is the scenery. The space you fly in is an exact replica of Earth's atmosphere. The planets, the
sun, the moon, even the stars are all placed where they would be located up in space. This nifty feature
allows the player to be able to recognize planet and star locations easily, which helps the player maintain
his/her sense of direction. The player will learn while having fun, which is a very important aspect of this
game.
Starfighter Training is only the first game in a series of starfighter games. The purpose of making this
game one of a series is so that the user will never get bored with the same starfighter, levels, or
weaponry. Each new game within the series introduces new concepts of how to control your starfight er.
Once the player is advanced enough is their training, he/she will be able to play their game in an online
mode. This allows players to personally interact with other pilots in training all around the world. Each
game within the series is tailored to fit into an online battlefield within space that allows the players to put
each game into one online version. This online version is 100% free but does come with upgradable units
for a small one-time fee just like the smartphone apps.
