He walks out the door. By this time, he is holding some device up to his ear and talking. I stand
there, and another large cup is put at the counter. I decide to do what that man did, and I take it, but I

everything is pretty dark, with natural colors. Even the people who come inside are wearing colors

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World are the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of
Babylon, the Statue of Zeus in Olympia, the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus, the Mausoleum at
Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. These are seven
absolutely magnificent structures, built in the ancient world. The Seven Wonders of the Ancient
World were first called themata, which translates in Greek to 'things to be seen'.
The Great Pyramid of Giza, located in Egypt, was built between 2583 and 2561 BCE for the
Egyptian pharaoh Khufu, also Known as Cheops in Greek culture. The Great Pyramid of Giza was
the tallest man–made structure for nearly 4,000 years. The excavation of the interior of the pyramid
was initiated in the late 18th century and early 19th century. The structure itself, with its imposing
height and perfect symmetry, is what impressed most ancient visitors. The Great Pyramid is also the

he is Fifth Business because he provided information that led Paul to kill Boy. Paul was always told
his birth was the cause of his mother's insanity. Her madness is what made him leave Deptford and

insisted on being heard again. 'Would this jog your memory?' I asked, handing him my old

World. Mather gives the outside world a glimpse into what the Salem Witch trials were like and how

Hi, I'm Matilda and today I will be discussing why the great barrier reef needs more protection than
ever.
The Great Barrier Reef is the most abundant and diverse coral ecosystem on Earth. It contains, over
1600 species of fish, 6 out of the 7 species of marine turtles in the world, 215 species of birds, and
more than 3000 species of shells. This rich and diverse range of species needs to be protected no
matter the cost. The reef is also the only living organisms that can be seen from space. If we want

Measles and Tuberculosis have been conquered through vaccines, antibiotics, and improved living
conditions. Cancer has become a more common illness, but treatments have been developed that
effectively combat some forms of the disease .We also have the technology to control abnormal
heart rhythms with the use of a pacemaker. I think pacemakers are absolutely fantastic, such a clever
idea. Pacemakers have prolonged people with heart conditions life span and made life easier for
them to live. The way a little camera can be inserted into the body to look at problems/diseases,
completely puts me in awe. Also heart and lung transplants are one of the marvels of today's world.
This again saves people's lives. The way that a team of doctors and nurses are able to take out a
patient's heart or lung and put in a new one so that they can live is truly a marvel. Medical
technology is just phenomenal and unbelievable. Through technology, millions of lives have been
saved and improved dramatically. This is why I'd consider it to be one of the marvels of today's

Fifth Business In the novel "Fifth Business", the author Robertson Davies is successfully able to
relate both the themes of magic and religion throughout. He achieves this relationship between the
themes primarily through the characters and their actions. Dunstan Ramsay, Paul Dempster, Mary
Dempster and Liselotte Vitzliputzli all help to illustrate the close relationship between magic and
religion. One of the characters that Davies uses to relate the theme of magic and religion is

performed three miracles, but without being aware of it. The first involved the rebirth of Surgeoner
by an act of charity. The second was the revival of Willie from the dead and the third was her
miraculous appearance to Dunstan during the war at Passchendaele. Liselotte Vitzliputzli otherwise
known as Lisel is introduced midway through the novel, but still plays an important element in the

Vision of Dr. Fautus where Faust was a magician who sold his soul to the devil. During a fight
between Lisel and Dunstan, Dustan twists her nose, reliving the story of Saint Dunstan where he
twisted the devil's nose when he came to tempt him in the form of a beautiful woman. Lisel is

Analysis Of Wonders Of The Invisible World By Cotton Mather
The short story, "Wonders of the Invisible World" by Cotton Mather, tells of how the devil is
working around Boston. He tells this story from his own perspective in which he believes the devil
is working in secret, and through the youth. One of the trials used as an example was Martha Carrier
who was found guilty based on the information collected by Cotton Mather. Nathaniel Hawthorne,
writer of the famous "Scarlet Letter", writes a short story from the narrator's perspective, and how he
visits his friend called "Oberon." Oberon believes that the devil is residing within his writing and
insists to the narrator that he must burn the manuscript to cast the devil out. The evidence that leads
Oberon to believe that the devil is in his writing draws from publishers refusing to accept his work.
In "Wonders of the Invisible World", Mather suggests the devil resides in people who collect in
"hellish meetings" where they discuss how to "destroy the kingdom on out lord Jesus Christ." He
uses Martha Carrier as an example of someone who is possessed by the devil and seeks to corrupt
others and do harm to those who follow God. He provides evidence by bringing witnesses to
Carrier's torment, including her children. How the devil is portrayed in "The Devil in the
Manuscript" is more figurative rather than literal. Oberon believes the devil possessed his writing
because no one wants to publish what he wrote. This is likely less literal than what Cotton Mather
means, and is likely attributed from his ego and belief that his writing is too great to be his fault. The
portrayal of the devil within the "Wonders of the Invisible World" is literal, and is inspired through
fear and incredibly strict devotion to one religion. Cotton Mather believes the devil is literally
possessing people and using those he possesses to corrupt others. He uses Martha Carrier as an
example of how the devil will do this by bringing in her children to the trial. The children confessed
on trial that "not only that they were witches themselves, but that their mother had made them so."
This helped strengthen Mather's argument that the devil is working through people to corrupt others.
The children's confession also helped give support to Mather's theory
