1. Do you think IT management is different from management of other functions?

IT management is a process where all firms’ technological resources are managed considering its
priorities and needs. These resources include physical investments like software, networks data,
computer hardware, and data center facilities, as well as the employees hired to keep them intact.
Managing the above responsibility within an entityinvolves many of the basic functions of
management, like, staffing, budgeting, controlling, and organizing plus other aspects unique to
information technology, like, tech supportsoftwaredesign, change management, network
planning.

IT Management is different from managementof other functions. The latter describesthe
management information strategies tied to the support or automation of decision making by
human beings. IT Management refers to the management activities that are related to information
technologyin an organization. On the other hand, Management Information System is focused on
the aspects of a business with a strong technological input to the phase of an organization or
business.
