1 Travel has become the great Filipino dream.
2 Yet having left Manila International Airport, the dream turns
into a nightmare quickly.
3 In all the palaces and fleshpots and skycrapers, there is no
patis to have.
4 There he is in the most expensive restaurant in Europe.
5 At that precise moment, the Pinoy is overcome with a
yearning for a mound of rice, a bowl of sinigang and a little
saucer of patis.

6 With a sigh, he applies himself to the foreign delicacies.

8 After a few days of these debacles, the Pinoy decides to
comb the strange city for a Chinese restaurant.
9 When in a foreign city, a Pinoy searches every busy
sidewalks, theater, restaurant for the well-remembered
golden features of a fellow Pinoy.
10 When the Pinoy finally finds such a treasure house, he will
have every meal with his kababayan.
