Read Gould's essay in light of Elizabeth Cady Stantion's "Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions" (p.400).
Pay particular attention to the quotations by Broca, Topinard, and Le Bon in Gould's essay. In what ways does

expressed by these men several decades later? How might Stanton respond to what they say? How might

Remember that culture is the way things are done at a certain place and it derives mostly from the ethics, and
priorities that an organization sets. We also examined the chain of command within the Army. There are chains
of command in every workplace but the Army's is a very complicated system and it allows everybody to know
their roles within the organization, it also allows people to advance which boosts morale and self–esteem. This
paper also informed about the Operations Process which is the way that decisions and missions are carried out
within the Army. Remember that there are four parts of the Ops Process that can be applied to any task in our
daily lives; Plan, Prepare, Execute and Assess. In conclusion, even though people may not think of America's
soldiers as managers, they are. They are managers because from day one they are forced into leadership roles
and they are taught these management processes. The Army requires Specialists and Corporals to complete 80
hours of training, called Structured Self Development (SSD), in order to be eligible for promotion to Sergeant.
The training teaches the Army culture, management styles, Army regulations and more. It is very important to
teach all workers at every level, how to effectively manage and lead because eventually they will be the ones
making the calls and tough

Porphyry deposits can occur in a variety of settings, an island arc is a distinctive feature of the Red Chris
deposit (Sinclair, W.D., n.d.). The Red Chris deposit displays features of both alkalic and calc–alkalic porphyry
deposits. Features like; large tonnage, strong association of copper sulfides and quartz veins, unusually high
copper–gold grades, and magnetite bearing potassic alteration (Gillstrom, Anand, & Robertson, February 14,
2012). It is estimated that the Red Chris deposit contains 1.2 billion tons of ore, grading at 0.327% copper, and

that in order for a porphyry deposit to be a gold rich deposit, it must contain an amount greater than 0.4 g/t of

The dynamic spreadsheet was extremely useful for performing this calculation because the expected attendance
value was used throughout the spreadsheet, to calculate quantities of several expenses, the number of tickets
being sold and the price of the tickets. USEFULNESS AS A DYNAMIC TOOL TO DETERMINE BUDGET
Budget spreadsheets are an extremely useful as a dynamic tool to determine budget. They are useful as a
dynamic tool to determine budget because they can perform complex calculations easily, with conditional
formatting they can alert you to important changes in data and the graphing features allow you to easily analyse
data. With the use of formulas, spreadsheets can perform difficult calculations virtually instantly. This is
especially useful for a budget, because without a spreadsheet, these calculations would take much longer and
would have to be done on paper or with a calculator, a very time–consuming process. They would also have to
be performed multiple times if values change, a problem that doesn't exist when using a spreadsheet.
Conditional formatting allows users of a spreadsheet to recognise changes in data with a change of a cell's
colour contents. This is extremely useful for recognising a change in important values such as expenses and
deficit– when determining

Abstract It has been indicated in previous epidemiological research that there is an elevated risk of death for
police officers in relation to the general population. The shorter life span can be pinned down to several
different causes. The Goal of this paper was to compare the life expectancy of those in the career of law
enforcement with the general population. Those ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cardiovascular diseases negatively affect the heart or blood vessels of the body. One of these diseases is known
as Atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is a disease that causes the hardening and narrowing of the arteries. Heart
attacks and strokes await those that have these diseases (Joseph et al., 2009). Atherosclerosis can be caused by
high blood pressure, smoking, and high cholesterol. Endothelium are a thin layer of cells that are supposed to
keep the inside of the arteries smooth promoting healthy blood flow. When the endothelium is damaged and bad
cholesterol moves past this area it collects. This causes plaque to form in the arteries restricting the flow of
blood. There was a case study (Violanti, Vena, & Patralia, 1998) between the dates of 1950 and 1990 where 40
police officers were examined to collect data on their health and life span. The information from this research
suggested there are lower mortality rates amongst the U.S. general population vs those in Law enforcement.
Arteriosclerotic heart disease deaths were elevated in law enforcement officers with service times of 10–19
years and represented the majority of excess deaths amongst those with circulatory disease. The average age of
death for the officers in this study is

This is one such story. This book is based on a real man and his struggles in life from his perspective. He seems
ordinary at first. As the story unfolds there are some incredible discoveries made about what makes a good man
and the sometimes seemingly impossible process in which one is formed. It's a story of life, death, struggle,
crushed hearts, success and love for all to enjoy! Brace yourself for an emotional rollercoaster ride driven by
personally invested interest. Take great detail in reading and feel what he feels, bury yourself in experiencing
what he experiences and use what you learn from this man to better yourself and others. Share his story to help
others; this is his most grand desire. A single life changed for the better is one of his greatest rewards. Many
people would not consider their lives interesting enough to capture and hold an audience's interest. I chose to
write about this man because I don't think he has led a boring life by any definition of the words. Where he had
initially failed to see the value of its content and did not see the incredible challenges he has overcome to build
the man he is today, I have discovered otherwise. Any story of a person going above and beyond with self
sacrifice at the highest of levels is worth writing about in my opinion. Even when facing the toughest of
obstacles, the love for humanity in this man's heart cannot be

Despite the fact that providing widgets from private suppliers is highly recommended in the most situation for
multiple grounds, my role is to examine and provide her different selections that would be more relevant and
applicable to Gloria Smithson 's case. To ensure what best fits for her case, we will be testing a proposal that is
coming from the same state as where Gloria's business is currently located together with the remaining two
proposals that are coming from other countries. Every proposal is supposed to provide a strong component as
well as probable weak points. We will also advise that it is best to take thorough studies and analyze every
component to ensure that we provide the best option for our customer. To begin with, we will evaluate if the
recommendations we have in our hands constitute an offer. We also need to ensure that there must be a valid
contract involved in order to be considered as enforceable. According to the textbook, (Cheeseman, 12/2013, p.

essential elements are the following: 1. Agreement 2. Consideration 3. Contractual capacity 4. Lawful object

Space To many uninformed people, a confined space does not seem hazardous, but without the proper training
and knowledge, confined spaces can be extremely dangerous and at worst, life threatening. People who enter
confined spaces must be properly educated and equipped for the job. When it comes to working safely in
confined spaces, knowledge is the best tool you can bring to the table. Several tragic events have occurred all
around the world involving confined spaces. There have been countless avoidable accidents that have left many
people injured and even dead. If they have been properly trained, these accidents could have been avoided.
Gases, fumes and vapors are just a few examples of the hazards that can arise in confined spaces. Throughout
this informative essay, you will learn about hazards that can be present in confined spaces, you will learn how to

The customers, when they are talking with the newly appointed trainees always ended up with frustration and
there is no stratification. By analyzing and observing the issues and service, Matt came to know that the
company is not giving 100 percent commitment to the customers. After identifying the mistake, Matt gave some
ideas to Joel McGivern, the CIO of Datatronics. Joel also agreed with the matt ideas and also he has planned to
take matt ideas in to the steering committee for additional funding, (Smith, 2013). Specific Information to build
a better customer service
1. Recent survey found that only 34 percent of customer service companies use latest technology for customer
service management. On the other hand 66 percent of companies using notebooks, papers, and useless notes. In
order to succeed, we must have proper tool to execute it. So, matt has to collect information about Datatronics
CRM and he has to find out whether the staffs are using CRM properly.
2. Matt has to collect information about "How much efforts does a customer have to produce to do business with
the company?". Because the way of communication should be easy and understandable. Otherwise, he has to
look for some other way to communicate

Two basic types of fireworks are the firecracker and sparkler. Firecrackers are simply made of rolled paper tubes
with black powder, which is made of a strong oxider, and a fuse, which adds heat to the oxider, resulting in a
"boom". Sparklers are just a little bit different––they are essentially a long fuse with black powder around it, so
they stay lit longer and show color. The color comes from a reaction with specific metals like aluminium,
copper, and zinc(How Are Fireworks Made?). The fireworks that most professional shows contain are known as
the aerial fireworks. They are normally made of shells containing black powder, the mortar itself, stars, shell,
bursting charge, and fuse. The stars in the fireworks are spread out in the shell and they create the sparkling like
figure. The bursting charge is in the center and when the lit fuse hits it, the firework explodes (How Are
Fireworks Made?). Some also use multi break shells to create different

Customary System to the Metric System Procedure We went to a batting cage and set up the area so that the
front of the rubber was 60'6" (18.4404m) from the back tip of home plate. We placed a pitching screen to the
left of home plate from the pitcher's point of view. Behind the pitching screen, one of us, the "radar controller",
had the radar gun to measure the velocity of the pitch in mph. If the radar gun had the option to measure the
velocity in m/s, we would have used that option because that is the unit of measurement for the equations used
in this project. Another one of us, the pitcher, was on the rubber waiting for everyone else to be ready for the
pitch. The last one of us, the recorder, was behind and to the side of the pitcher getting ready to write down the
data from the radar gun. When everyone was ready, the pitcher threw the ball towards home plate. Just before
the release of the ball, the radar gun was aimed and held steady directly towards the pitcher. Spontaneously, the
"trigger" was held down until the ball passed the "radar controller". The "radar control" then read the velocity
aloud so the recorder could write down that

To aid financial and performance reporting in the company, its objectives also include achieving a harmonious
user adoption of the Business Intelligence technology across all departments within the firm. IT department also
aims to support and maintain the IT operations including software installations, network security, and
telecommunications. Another major IT objective is to build a formal assessment process for company's overall
information management requirements, which will help in leveraging parent company's IT resources. All these
IT objectives align with and in turn, will help achieve the business objective of seamless integration.
Problems
The acquisition of Lovat gave rise to many challenges for the parent company. Caterpillar tried to implement
standard procedures, project management practices and SAP platform. This caused many problems. The major
problems were data inconsistency and uneven reporting. Another problem was inconsistency in procedures.
Caterpillar had standard procedures but CTCC handled each project as an independent entity. It was run as a
family business, thus standardization of procedures across the organization posed a major challenge. Acceptance
of BI platform across the organization was a problem since managers were divided. There was no consensus
among multiple departments.
Some teams were willing to use BI platform for decision–making and reporting and but

The amount of insulation an object has will affect the amount of light it will absorb and the amount of thermal
heat conduction an object will reflect. (Lee H., 2011). Thermal heat conduction is the transfer of internal energy,
which is due to different temperature rates. The color of an object doesn't affect insulation. Insulation is usually
the opposite of colors being absorbed and reflected against light. Instead, insulation will only affect an object's
color depending on the temperature the object is being pressured by. For example, if an object has a dark color
and there is a high temperature being pressured onto the dark object, the object will insulate heat inside. If the
dark object was being pressured by a lower temperature the object would not insulate heat inside of the object
because dark colors only insulate high temperatures (The University of

"Dementia means [loss of mental faculties]" as stated Advances in Art Therapy edited by Harriet Wadeson et. al.
Jean Durkin. Being simply senile is not the same as having Alzheimer's for the simple fact that people who
experience senility are experiencing symptoms of natural aging, not neurological complications. Senility is
shown in the decline of physical and mental abilities. People decline to accept the fact that Alzheimer's disease
is in fact a disease. Senility is normal. This disease is not a natural progression of age. Many people
misunderstand this fact because they mistake forgetfulness or confusion in age as Alzheimer's disease. A website
dedicated to Alzheimer's disease and dementia called Alz.org describes possible causes for this deadly
unforgettable disease. The cause as described by the website is plaque deposits of proteins, specifically beta–

Adenosine binds onto receptors on the brain cells, which causes people to feel the tiredness and laziness;
however, because the two molecules are very similar, caffeine too is able to block the receptors. The excess
adenosine is converted into adrenaline which most people are used to experiencing when drinking coffee, a
sense of alertness and energy for about 4 – 6 hours. It also helps the natural stimulants work better, so, in a way,
caffeine is a stimulant for stimulants. All of this information culminates in the fact that these stimulants that are
activated due to the caffeine are what cause the heart to beat rapidly, either too fast for the daphnia to survive, or
just enough that they are more active, like humans are when ingesting caffeine. Caffeine also causes hunger as

and it always leads to increased customer satisfaction. Innovations done on electronic appliances are called
digital innovation. Air mice are a recent innovation in mice computing. It has various advantages when

For a large organization such as XYZ, critical analysis of identified risk has to be made for the implementation
of air mice to minimize the failure at the large scale. Since air mice are very handy, it can be easily damaged by
dropping down. So before implementing air mice technology in XYZ organization, a proper session on how to
use air mice should be conducted to all the employees of the organization. Hands–on sessions should be
conducted to the employees to make them familiarize to the tool. Since air mice doesn't have an indicator to
show the charge level, it is individual responsibility of the employee to take care of charge draining situations.
Proper awareness should be made to the employees regarding the battery drainage, so that battery consumption
should be taken care accordingly. Finally, Air mice technology is not rocket–science to understand, proper
knowledge transfer by expertise to every individual in XYZ organization will lead to successful implementation
of air mice technology. 6. Acceptance of air mice technology Sometimes change can be stressful. To the
employees of XYZ organization who were using mechanical mouse so far, using air mice will be difficult at
first. Success in using technology tools is driven by user attitude. User attitude should be changed so that they
accept the changes to organization. Hands–on experience to the employees before implementation will help in
successful implementation of air mice technology. User guide/FAQs to the implemented technology can be
issued to the employees so that they can get used to the technology without any guidance. 7.

Jude Furniss, president of the Surf Rider Foundation Manly, states that "it is raising awareness of plastic
pollution." Conclusion: Climate change is proving to have a severe negative impact on our coastlines. Manly
Beach is a very precious beach to Australians because of its physical, environmental, cultural, social and
economic values. The NSW government and the local council are now acting to protect Manly Beach from
further coastal erosion. If no action is taken, we may lose our beach totally and that would be disastrous to the
people, the land and the ecosystem. Beach nourishment is one way of replenishing our beach. However, more
need to be done, such as habitat protection and refurbishment projects to restore the health of our coastal
ecosystems. This requires planning, funding and time. Bibliography Legislation.nsw.gov.au. (2018). NSW

Atherosclerosis is a disease that causes the hardening and narrowing of the arteries. Heart attacks and strokes await those that have these diseases (Joseph et al., 2009). Atherosclerosis can be caused by high blood pressure, smoking, and high cholesterol. Endothelium are a thin layer of cells that are supposed to keep the inside of the arteries smooth promoting healthy blood flow. When the endothelium is damaged and bad cholesterol moves past this area it collects. This causes plaque to form in the arteries restricting the flow of blood. There was a case study (Violanti, Vena, & Patralia, 1998) between the dates of 1950 and 1990 where 40 police officers were examined to collect data on their health and life span. Two basic types of fireworks are the firecracker and sparkler. Firecrackers are simply made of rolled paper tubes with black powder, which is made of a strong oxider, and a fuse, which adds heat to the oxider, resulting in a "boom". Sparklers are just a little bit different––they are essentially a long fuse with black powder around it, so they stay lit longer and show color. The color comes from a reaction with specific metals like aluminium, copper, and zinc(How Are Fireworks Made?). The fireworks that most professional shows contain are known as the aerial fireworks. They are normally made of shells containing black powder, the mortar itself, stars, shell, bursting charge, and fuse. If the radar gun had the option to measure the velocity in m/s, we would have used that option because that is the unit of measurement for the equations used in this project. Another one of us, the pitcher, was on the rubber waiting for everyone else to be ready for the pitch. The last one of us, the recorder, was behind and to the side of the pitcher getting ready to write down the data from the radar gun. When everyone was ready, the pitcher threw the ball towards home plate. Just before the release of the ball, the radar gun was aimed and held steady directly towards the pitcher. Insulation is usually the opposite of colors being absorbed and reflected against light. Conclusion: Climate change is proving to have a severe negative impact on our coastlines. Manly Beach is a very precious beach to Australians because of its physical, environmental, cultural, social and economic values. The NSW government and the local council are now acting to protect Manly Beach from further coastal erosion. If no action is taken, we may lose our beach totally and that would be disastrous to the people, the land and the ecosystem. Beach nourishment is one way of replenishing our beach. However, more need to be done, such as habitat protection and refurbishment projects to restore the health of our coastal ecosystems. This requires planning, funding and time.
