5. DIAGNOSING (USE DERMOSCOPY)
 Remember the ABCDE concept to check any skin lesion:
 Asymmetrical outline
 Border irregularity
 Colour variation
 Malignancy usually has a mixture of colour (red, blue, black,
brown)
 Diameter
 Usually > 0.5cm (5mm) @ blunt pencil
 Expansion/ evolution
 Lesion gets bigger
 Starts to feel different (e.g. Itching, painful)

6. TREATMENT
 Surgical excision
 Local destruction:
 Cryotherapy
 Radiotherapy (except in malignant melanoma)

7. PROGNOSIS MAINLY BASED ON:
BRESLOW AND CLARK STAGING
