1. Queen
The queen uses the black leather jacket and the black
background and the small spot light is used to create a
grim vibe towards the picture. This connotes a rock
genre as well as the lead singer, who has his arm over
his chest to symbolise and suggest that he is dead. The
direct mode of address is quite hidden due to the
lighting which makes it difficult to identify if the band is
looking directly at the camera .Furthermore, their eyes
are not directly looking at the centre of the camera but
the bottom of the camera which creates a mournful
appearance. It is also a formal balance as the band
members are positioned in a symmetrical way.
