Location/Setting
The location that will be used for our title
sequence will be based around central London,
mainly focusing on Big Ben to really create that
authenticity within the genre and to give context
to the setting.
As our genre is a psychological thriller set in the
late 18th century and early 19th century – the
Victorian era -the shots will be taken around the
evening and night time in order to create a
gloomy, somber, eerie effect that will convey to
the audience the dark nature of the film. It will
also be easy to use a lot of shadow light
effectively in order to emphasize the nature of
the film.
Setting
Because the Victorian gothic scenes are mainly
composed of dark colours such as blacks and
greys we are going to use use dark colours in
order to mirror this setting and nature.
The settings will include a variety of things
ranging from wooden furniture (to create
authenticity), narrow alleyways around Central
London (in order to portray that Victorian look)
and props such as candles when our protagonist
is recalling and investigating his case.
