2. Analysis the Learner
My learners are Kindergartener. I have 21 students in. My class is made up of 12 Caucasians, 6
African Americans, and 3 Hispanic. Three of my students ADHD and one of my students have Down
Syndrome.
Learning Competencies: Students should have the basic knowledge of location of different body
parts associated with their five senses.
Learning styles: The students learn in many different ways. Some students are auditory learners
while others are visual learners. The students with ADHD learn best when engaged in hands on
activity.
3. State Objective
◦ The students will learn and be able demonstrate each of the five senses through reading,
videos, science experiments, art project match the sound activity,and taste test. Through a
five day break down students will learn a new sense each day. By the end of the week the
students will be able to complete with 100% accuracy.
4. Brief Breakdown:
Monday: The students will be introduced to the five senses by a read around of My Five Senses by Aliki. I will also show
them a video from YouTube to get them familiar with the five senses. I will introduce the students to there first sense,
sight. The students will do make a pair of binoculars with different colored lenses.
Tuesday: The students will learn about the sense of touch. They will do a science experiment to help them understand
what touch is. The students will do a hands on experiment making putty. I will also do an art project associate with
touch.
Wednesday: The students will learn the sense of smell. I will make smelling bottles for the students to explore different
scents. After they smell each bottle we will play a game and have them guess the smell while blindfolded.
Thursday: The students will learn about the sense of taste. I will fill containers with sugar, salt, coco , and lemon slices.
This way they can explore different taste.
Friday: The students will learn the final sense, hearing. The students will play the game match the sound. I will also asses
there understanding of the five senses by doing the I can describe popcorn activity .
5. Use of Technology
◦ I will provide the students with an interactive video from
YouTube, The students will be able to use there gross motor
skills through guided dance about the five senses. I will also use
a YouTube video for the read aloud.
