• Hatshepsut was the second known to
have formally assumed power as "King of
Upper and Lower Egypt"
• She re-established trading relationships
lost during a foreign occupation and
brought great wealth to Egypt.

• She tried to make herself more god-like by
the invention of stories with the
attachment to gods.
• Hatshepsut did different things to be
accepted to be ruler.
• She dressed in men’s clothing and built
statues after herself
6. King Ramses
• He was born around 1303B.C and at age
fourteen, Ramses was appointed Prince
Regent by his father Seti 1.
• King Ramses II , who reigned for 67 years
during the 19th dynasty of the 12th
century BC, was known as "Ramses the
Great".
• He was the first king in history to sign a
peace treaty with his enemies.

• Ramses II reasserted
the royal power in this
domain and brought
about a
rapprochement
between Egypt and
Hatti which
culminated in the
signing of a peace
treaty.
