2. Definition:
A Bourdon tube is a way of measuring pressure. Probably every
mechanical dial-type pressure gauge you've ever seen is based on a Bourdon tube.
Our goal here is to understand the physics of how it works.
Types of different Bourdon Tubes
 Spiral Type
 C type
 Helical Type
Range:
 Low range 10 –100kpa
 Medium range 100 – 5000kpa
 : High range 5000 – 20000kpa
Applications of the bourdon tube pressure gauge:
 For gaseous and liquid, also aggressive media for demanding high purity
applications, also in aggressive ambience
