Vibrating Level Switch
Vibrating level switch uses piezoelectric devices to achieve vibration drive and detection. It is designed with state-of-the-art
technique, which upgrades the product performance to an advanced level and has higher reliability in counterparts. When the
vibrating probe contacts with the measured material, the vibration amplitude and the frequency of the probe will obviously decrease,
also, the reduction is detected by the piezoelectric devices and will be converted into a switching signal by intelligent circuit.
Depending on different chemical property and physical form of measured medium, different series of vibrating level switch can be
chosen.
In order to meet a variety of application conditions, our vibration level switches are divided into the following four series:
Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switch:
The first made-in-China vibration rod level switch designed with double vibration elements, is mainly used to measure the level of
granular and coarse-grained bulk solids with the lowest measurable density of 0.02g/cm3
.
Fork-11 Tuning Fork Level switch:
By increasing the area of fork body, it is particularly suitable for the level measurement of powders and fine-grained bulk solids with
the lowest measurable density of 0.008 g/cm3
.
Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch:
With only 40mm length of the fork body, it is particularly aimed to measure the level of liquid with the lowest measurable density of 0.5
g/cm3
, and can be mounted in vessels, canisters and tanks, and also in bypass pipelines.
Ring-21 Compact Liquid level switch:
Designed in compact and lightweight form, It is mainly applied in occasions that require low-cost price, and in non hazardous areas. It
is particularly suitable to be installed in pipelines and constricted spaces.

▼Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switch
Tube-11, is the first made-in-China vibration rod level
switch that designed with double vibration elements and with
the lowest measurable density of 0.02g/cm3
, is mainly used to
measure the level of granular and coarse-grained bulk solids,
such as PVC, sodium hydroxide, lime, cement, sand, soil, coal,
dust, flour, sugar, salt, grain, bean, etc.
The probe of Tube-11 vibrating rod level switch is
designed with double vibration elements, the inner vibration
element nests with the outer vibration element. By activating
both the inner and outer vibration elements to work at the same
resonance frequency, this makes the switch has high reliability
and high detection sensitivity with the lowest measurable
density of 0.02g/cm3
. The product uses piezoelectric devices to
achieve vibration drive and detection, resulting in resonance of
both inner and outer vibration elements at completely
consistent resonance frequency. When the vibrating rod
contacts with measured material, the resonant frequency of
outer vibration element will change, thereby destroying the
resonance conditions of both the inner and outer vibration
elements makes the vibration amplitude of the probe will be
obviously deceased, which also decreases the amplitude of
output signal from the piezoelectric detection device. This
reduction is detected by the integrated electronics module and
converted into a output switching signal.
 Particularly suitable to measure the outcome silos of the
mixture of CaSO4 and CaSO3 in semi-dry desulfurization
reaction unit at coal power plant.
 High redundancy for hanging and adhesion are benefited
from double rods design, well solves the adhesion
problem from mixture of CaSO4 and CaSO3.
 Due to unstable changing of the dielectric constant
caused by humidity changing from the mixture of CaSO3
and CaSO4, the RF Admittance Level Switch cannot be
reliably applied to such working condition, thus, the
vibrating level switch has nothing to do with dielectric
constant and is able to achieve highly reliable
measurement.
 Well used at dust bin of desulfurization and silo of
regeneration tower at power plant, where the
temperature of active coke is up to 180 ℃, but it is still
less than the switch’s highest process temperature --
250 ℃.
 Widely used in combustion systems bunker at power
plant, in which the sawdust and straw density is only
about 0.1g /cm3, but for other general level switches, it is
difficult to reliably measure the level due to the low
density. However, Tube-11 with the lowest measurable
density of 0.02 g/cm3
is perfect for this kind of occasion.
 Well installed in dust bag and ash conveying system of
ash pump and storehouse at power plant. Tube-11, with
only 150mm length of the probe, significantly reduces the
probe’s impacted area by heavy ashes, and greatly
avoids the probe’s damage caused by material impact.
 Used to measure the level of coal ash collecting device
(fly ash silo).
 Used to measure the level of sintered ash silo at smelter
plant.
 Used in PVC granule storage silos, and packaging line
silo monitoring at chemical plant.
 Used in the measurement of cement raw material hoist
hopper at cement plant.

▼Fork-11 Tuning Fork Level Switch
Fork-11 Tuning Fork Level Switch is mainly used to
measure the level of powders and fine-grained bulk solids,
such as sand, fine chemicals, flour, salt and other similar
materials, which is particularly suitable for ultra low-density
materials with the lowest measurable density of 0.008g/cm3
.
This switch has wide adaptability and high reliability.
Designed on the basis of tuning fork, Fork-11 uses
piezoelectric devices to achieve vibration drive and detection.
The fork vibrates freely under the resonance frequency when
it is not covered by material, the vibration amplitude of the fork
will obviously decrease when the vibrating fork body is
covered by material. This reduction is detected by
piezoelectric devices and converted into a switching output
signal by intelligent circuit. By increasing the area of fork body,
its sensitivity will be improved markedly while the lowest
measurable density is 0.008g/cm3
.
 Reliably used in the hopper of foam molding machine
and plastic machine. By increasing the area of fork body,
the lowest measurable density is up to 0.008 g/cm3
. It is
particularly suitable for measurement of
ultra-low-density and non-conductive medium, such as
foam particles.
 Function works well in the hopper of cement packaging
line. Fork-11, with thinner wing and larger separate
space of the fork body, is particularly suitable to
measure the level of powders and it can effectively
prevent the accumulation of material on fork wing.
 Used to monitor the storage silo of salt.
 Used in rubber raw materials warehouse.

▼Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch
Ring-11, a high-reliable and compact level switch
dedicated to liquid level measurement, is designed with only
40mm length of the fork body. Based on the design principle to
detect vibration frequency change of the fork body immersed
in medium, Ring-11, with the lowest measurable density of 0.5
g/cm3
and its precision is the same as a millimeter, is
particularly aimed to measure the level of low density liquid. It
can be mounted in vessels and canisters, and also in bypass
pipelines and output tubes of canister. Ring-11 not only can be
applied to the level measurement of hydrochloric acid, sulfuric
acid, nitric acid, lye, industrial waste water, syrup, etc., but
also suitable for difficult conditions, such as turbulence, air
bubbles, foam generation, buildup, and strong external
vibration.
Ring-11 uses piezoelectric devices to achieve vibration
drive and detection. By shortening the length of fork body to
increase the vibration frequency, the frequency will obviously
decrease when the vibrating fork body contacts with tested
liquid. This change of vibration frequency directly reflects on
the output signal of the piezoelectric detection device, thus,
the detection circuit responds to the change of frequency and
converts into a switching output signal.
 Used in the measurement of liquefied natural gas (LNG)
with the density of 0.56g/cm3
. Ring-11, with only 40mm
long of fork body, and the lowest measurable density is
0.5g/cm3
, especially suitable for LNG pipeline
monitoring, which is under difficult working conditions,
such as explosion-proof, high pressure and ultra low
density.
 Widely used in producing chemical spices, which
usually produce under highly corrosive condition and
high temperature environment. In order to adapt to acid
and alkali liquid, the fork body and the flange are coated
with ECTFE or PFA, and its working temperature is up
to 250 ℃.
 Widely mounted in storage tanks of petroleum, crude oil,
gasoline, lubricating oil, etc. This product has been
approved by dual certifications of Intrinsically Safe and
Explosion-Proof (Intrinsically Safe Ex ia IIC T6,
flameproof Ex d IIC T6).
 Widely mounted in pipeline for pump protection.
 Fork length is only 40mm, especially suitable for
pipelines’ measurement.
 Measurable medium’s density can be as low as
0.5g/cm3
.
 Strong anti-interference feature, can work even under
tough conditions, such as turbulence, air bubbles, foam
generation.
 Process temperature can reach up to 250℃, which is

▼Ring-21 Compact Liquid Level Switch
Ring-21, an economical compact tuning fork liquid level
switch, is designed in a compact and lightweight structure,
with only 40mm long of the fork body while the total length is
only 167mm, and the maximum diameter is about only 32mm.
Ring-21 can be applied to the level measurement of vessels,
storage tanks under difficult conditions, such as air bubbles
and vibration interference. This switch is particularly suitable
to be installed in small containers and tanks with constricted
mounting space. The design principles are also based on the
detection of changing of vibration frequency when fork body is
immersed in medium. The measurable medium density is as
low as 0.7g/cm3
.
Ring-21 is also designed based on the principles of
detecting the changing of fork’s vibration frequency when it is
immersed in medium. The vibration frequency of the fork
obviously decreases when vibrating fork body contacts with
tested liquid. This change of vibration frequency directly
reflects on the output signal of the piezoelectric detection
device, and the detection circuit will respond to the change of
the frequency, as well as converting it into a switching output
signal.
 Mainly applied in occasions that requires low-cost
measurement, and it is suitable for nonhazardous areas,
particularly applicable to install in pipelines and
constricted spaces.
 Compact and lightweight structure, with total length of
167mm, maximum diameter of 32mm, and is only
40mmlongof the fork body.
 Particularly suitable for pipelines measurement in
constricted mounting space.
 Measurable medium density can be low to 0.7g/cm3
.

RF Admittance Level Switch
Cape-11 RF Admittance Level Switch, is an measuring equipment which has high reliability and excellent versatility. The
switch is used to detect the level of fly ash, solid granular and adhesive materials. The design is based on absorbing the
advantages of similar products of other rival brands and combining with Jiwei’s independent innovative technology and processes.
Cape-11 RF Admittance Level Switch series use probe to sense the change of capacitive reactance and impedance between
the probe and the vessel while detecting the material position .Within the electronic unit, the probe’s measuring pole and the
reactance of empty vessel together form a balanced bridge circuit and generate a stable oscillation signal. When the level rises
and measured medium covers the probe, the reactance between the probe and vessel wall changes, which causes imbalance of
the bridge circuit, and stops generating oscillation signal. This change will be detected by the circuit, and then output an alarm
signal. Meanwhile, the oscillation signal works as a radio frequency signal that is applied to the probe’s measuring pole, but also
goes through the 1: 1 voltage follower and is sent to shield pole. So, the RF signals of measuring pole and shield pole have the
same electric potential, phase, and frequency, but they are isolated and independent each to other. When a material adhere to the
probe, there is no electric potential difference between measuring pole and shield pole, so the form of electrical isolation ensures
the signal of shield pole has no effect on the detection, thus the change of reactance of probe’s measuring pole can only decided

Magnetic Level Indicator
Flap-11 Magnetic Level Indicator series products are designed based on communicating tube and the principles of magnetic
coupling function to achieve real-time level measurements. When the measured liquid’s level in the vessel changes, the magnetic
float in communicating tube will go up and down, and the permanent magnet steel inside the magnetic float makes the magnetic
flaps of the indicator outside the communicating tube turn by 180°which is driven by the magnetic coupling function. Usually the
front and back surface of flaps are coated with two different colors respectively (normally red and white) to indicate the actual liquid
level inside the vessel. When the level of vessel rises, the flaps turn from white to red, and when the level of vessel drops, the flaps
turn from red to white, at the red and white junction, the actual level of vessel is indicated. According to different chemical
properties of the measured medium, appropriate materials for the communicating tube should be applied. In order to achieve to the
best accuracy of measurement, the magnetic float’s weight, volume and structure have to be satisfied with the density of measured
liquid.
In order to adapt to measured liquids’ different density and chemical properties, Flap-11 series are divided into the following
specific application models:
Flap-11S Economical Type:
Uses 304 stainless steel material, which is economical and practical, meets most industrial conditions and can be used in mildly
corrosive liquid measurement.
Flap-11A Standard Type:
Made of strong anti-corrosive materials, such as 316L, is suitable for most corrosive medium.
Flap-11P Lined Type:
Uses 304 stainless steel with PTFE-lined, can be applied to highly corrosive liquid.
Flap-11C Plastic Type:
Made of PP/PVC, suitable for low pressure and strong corrosive liquid.

Flap-11P Lined Type Magnetic Level Indicator uses unique lining technical design, makes lining junction of
the floating tube and process connect flange achieve to the best-match condition, effectively avoids corrosion
damage made by accidental medium leakage, which is usually caused by extrusion fracture when assembling.
Also, Flap-11S has introduced innovative production and test processes to improve its reliability and quality.
Flap-11P is mainly used to measure strong corrosive liquid, and, is widely applied to chemical industry, oil refining,

Flap-11C Plastic Type Magnetic Level Indicator is a commonly used anti-corrosion level meter. With the
same measured range, its weight is only about 1/5 of the Standard Type, which greatly facilitates the installation.
Also, Flap-11S has introduced innovative production and test processes to improve its reliability and quality.

▼SW-11 Magnetic Switch
SW-11 Magnetic Switch uses the power reed of
international famous brands as its core components and is
designed with aluminum housing. It is certificated with
Flameproof Enclosures and Intrinsic Safety (Explosion-proof
grade Exd IIC T6, Intrinsically Safe rating Exia IIC T6), which
is the highest level of similar products in peer industry. As the
measured fluid level rises and drops, the magnetic float rises
and drops as well, and when the permanent magnetic steel
within the magnetic float moves close to the switch, it
stimulates the attached switches, triggering reed switch’s
status to change, and providing a signal back to the control
system to realize the liquid level control.
The output of the switches can be configured with SPST
or SPDT, and can be set as anti-overflow or anti-dry
protection.
 Use the power reed of international famous brands,
which with capacity of heavy current and long service
life.
 The guide tube is made of 316L material, with strong

▼Reed-11 Remote Transmitters
The remote transmitter is designed to be used with
Flap-11 Magnetic Level Indicator series products by mounted
on float tube outside. It sends a 4-20mA signal from a remote
location back to the operation and control center, to achieve
real-time level measurement and monitoring.
Inside the floating tube the magnetic float, that rises and
drops by following with the fluid level, triggers the same level
close reed switch in guiding tube to change its status, this
leads to the resistance change in the circuit. A two-wire
transmitter chip converts the resistance into a 4-20mA current
signal through the current-voltage convertor; the value of
current signal output will reflect the corresponding fluid level.
Usually its resolution is ±5mm or ±10mm, and, the higher the
accuracy is, the larger number of reed is needed.
 The plastic reed of international famous brands used,
has long service life.
 Use the chips of international famous brands to
complete voltage-current converting and to achieve 4~
20mA output.
 Certificated with both Flameproof Enclosures and
Intrinsic Safety.
 The protection rating reaches to IP66/67.

Magnetic float is designed based on the Principle of
Buoyancy (Archimedes' Principle) while combining with
magnetic coupling system. The float type (size,weight and
structure) is determined by specific process fluid’s density,
pressure and temperature. Also, the materials of construction
of float must be compatible with the process fluid. Normally,
according to different conditions, its materials can use 304,
316L stainless steel, 304 stainless steel cladding PTFE or
plastic, etc. Each float is engineered for proper buoyancy for
each particular application. In order to ensure product’s
measurement accuracy and working reliability, the size and
weight of magnetic float need to be matched with measured
fluid. Flap-11 Magnetic Level Indicator series products have a
variety of magnetic floats. Flap-11 is suitable for medium
density as low as 0.45g/cm3
, which covers most mediums and
conditions.

▼Rada-11 Pulse Radar Level Meter
Rada-11 is a 5.8 GHz low-frequency pulse radar level
meter adopting integration rod antenna. Based on the
hermetical design of microwave-transmitting antenna, the
product having powerful anti-interference capability is suitable
for the applications likely to produce vaporous liquids, dew,
and crystallization, as well as the scenarios supplied with
stirrers, and of highly corrosive.
The Rada-11 pulse radar level meter adopts the circuit
design of micro strip line structure, inside which the 5.8GHz
microwave pulse signal is generated. Based on the design
principle of high frequency waveguide, the microwave pulses
are transmitted from the end of the antenna. When the
transmitted pulses hit the surface of the measured medium,
part of the energy is reflected back and received by the same
antenna. Based on the principle of time expansion techniques,
it is possible to calculate the time intervals between
transmitting pulse and receiving pulse, so the distance
between the antenna and the surface of the measured
medium is able to be figured out.

▼Rada-21 Pulse Radar Level Meter
Rada-21 is a 25 GHz high-frequency pulse radar level
meter adopting horn antenna, which is dedicated to liquid,
slurry measurements in high temperature and high pressure
environment. Making full use of high-frequency feature of
microwave signals, the horn antenna can be configured with
the diameter of less than 40mm, which is especially suitable
for the level measurement of small container and smaller
waveguide pipe.
The Rada-21 pulse radar level meter adopts the circuit
design of microstrip line structure, inside which the 25GHz
microwave pulse signal is generated. Based on the design
principle of high frequency waveguide, the microwave pulses
are transmitted from the end of the antenna. When the
transmitted pulses hit the surface of the measured medium,
part of the energy is reflected back and received by the same
antenna. Based on the principle of time expansion techniques,

Rada-22 is a 25 GHz high-frequency pulse radar level

▼Rada-31 FMCW Radar Level Meter
Rada-31 is a 24GHz frequency modulated continuous
wave (FMCW) radar level meter employing four-wire system
with the range up to 100m. Designed with a high
signal-to-noise ratio, Rada-31 is an ideal solution for extreme
dusty environment, especially suitable for applications
involving harsh conditions, such as the level measurement of
cement, coal powder, fly ash, plastic powder, alumina powder,
etc.
The circuit design of Rada-31 FMCW Radar Level Meter
is based on a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), by which the
fundamental frequency generated is 24GHz. The radar wave
modulated by strict linear increasing with the bandwidth of
1GHz is transmitted by the PTFE emitter from the end of the
antenna. When the transmitted wave hits the surface of the
measured medium, the wave is reflected back and received
by the same antenna. After Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the
signal carrying the jumbled array of difference frequencies in
the time domain is converted into a frequency spectrum in the
frequency domain. By identifying the frequency difference
between transmitting and receiving signal that is proportionate
to the flight distance, the distance between the antenna and
the surface of the measured medium can be achieved.

By activating both the inner and outer vibration elements to work at the same resonance frequency, this makes the switch has high reliability and high detection sensitivity with the lowest measurable density of 0.02g/cm3 . The product uses piezoelectric devices to achieve vibration drive and detection, resulting in resonance of both inner and outer vibration elements at completely consistent resonance frequency. When the vibrating rod contacts with measured material, the resonant frequency of outer vibration element will change, thereby destroying the resonance conditions of both the inner and outer vibration elements makes the vibration amplitude of the probe will be obviously deceased, which also decreases the amplitude of output signal from the piezoelectric detection device. The switch is used to detect the level of fly ash, solid granular and adhesive materials. The design is based on absorbing the advantages of similar products of other rival brands and combining with Jiwei’s independent innovative technology and processes. Cape-11 RF Admittance Level Switch series use probe to sense the change of capacitive reactance and impedance between the probe and the vessel while detecting the material position .Within the electronic unit, the probe’s measuring pole and the reactance of empty vessel together form a balanced bridge circuit and generate a stable oscillation signal. When the level rises and measured medium covers the probe, the reactance between the probe and vessel wall changes, which causes imbalance of the bridge circuit, and stops generating oscillation signal. This change will be detected by the circuit, and then output an alarm signal. Meanwhile, the oscillation signal works as a radio frequency signal that is applied to the probe’s measuring pole, but also goes through the 1: 1 voltage follower and is sent to shield pole. So, the RF signals of measuring pole and shield pole have the same electric potential, phase, and frequency, but they are isolated and independent each to other. When a material adhere to the probe, there is no electric potential difference between measuring pole and shield pole, so the form of electrical isolation ensures the signal of shield pole has no effect on the detection, thus the change of reactance of probe’s measuring pole can only decided by the measured material between the probe’s measuring pole and the vessel, which do not make the coating of probe affect the detection. When the measured liquid’s level in the vessel changes, the magnetic float in communicating tube will go up and down, and the permanent magnet steel inside the magnetic float makes the magnetic flaps of the indicator outside the communicating tube turn by 180°which is driven by the magnetic coupling function.
