Conclusions from questionnaires and interviews<br />From the questionnaire we decided that we will create a rock music video because the majority of the people who took part in the questionnaire liked rock the most. Our target audience will be 12-25 year olds for our rock music video, because this age group seemed to like rock the most compared to for example 26+ year olds in which a minority of the people liked rock.<br />For our interview we asked two dedicated rock fans some questions on rock music videos. They really like a rock music video to have a tragic and love theme in it; therefore for our rock music video we will try and put these themes into our own rock music video. We also found out that they prefer narrative based and performance shots together in a music video rather than just 1 on its own, as a result we will have both narrative and performance shots in our music video. We also found this in our questionnaire where 80% preferred a music video to have both a narrative and artists performance shots. By doing this we think we will gather these rock fans into the music we create as we will produce a conventional rock music video which they will like.<br />Both from our interviews and questionnaires we found that rock fans would like to see the music video match the lyrics so they could make sense of the music video, they said this would attract them to the music video, therefore we will address this in our music video. Also we found that 8/10 people enjoy having special effects in music videos; we will try to do this. However obviously not to professional standards as we don’t have the same resources’ also we wouldn’t want too much special effect’s in our music video so that it doesn’t distract the audience from the narrative of the music video.<br />As almost everyone can or does watch music videos on the internet because of its easy access and the fact is free, we will attract our audience through the internet because first of all we wouldn’t be able to put our music video on the TV as it would be too expensive, putting the music video on sites such as YouTube, my space etc is free and it can attract many people to watch it and maybe even attract record labels, this is how the artist Soulja Boi got signed through MySpace.<br />Lastly we realised from our interviews that rock fans like music videos to be energetic, engaging and they prefer the rock band to wear conventional rock clothes, therefore we will try meeting these fans demands.<br />
