Gifted child, any child , who is naturally
endowed with a high degree of general
mental ability .
IQ IS MORE THAN 130.
CHARACTERISTICS OF GIFTED
CHILDREN
• They learn faster in class and
laboratory
• They learn by observation-
literature method,problem
solving,discussion and seminar
method and acquiring new
knowledge.
• They will makes full use of their
previous knowledge in learning
new things.
• They keep themselves updated
with latest information in the field
of physical science
• They give constructive views for
improvements of science library ,science
laboratory etc,…
• They obtain highest marks in theoretical and
practical examinations.
• they are always curious to go on
visits/excursions.
• Magazines ,books---- free time learning
• Alert,good observer and quick to answer
• IQ LEVEL IS 130-150.

THEY CAN BE IDENTIFIED BY
 observation,
 capability to learn,
 their interest,
 their classworks and homeworks ,
 words by teachers and parents,
Conducting IQ test

ask a lot of questions.
They take their own
approach to assignments.
They have a large
vocabulary and prefer
adult conversation. ...

ideas. ...
They are sensitive to
their environment.
PROBLEMS OF GIFTED CHILDREN
• Donot get proper place/acceptance from
teachers,parents ,students.
• Naughty,talkative,adventures,thinkers,crack,
mad.
• not getting proper friends.
• Inferiority complex
• Not getting challenging activities they get
bored
• Cant able to work according to their wishes
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMES
• Arrangement of laboratory
• To show films and slides
• To allow them the projects of collection of
substances,rocks,minerals
• Basic experiments of physics and chemistry
• To find out some theories and works of
scientist
• To make plan for science library and muesum
• Participate in lab activities
• give home projects
• prepare various charts and models
• write essay on topic related to science
• Write article on science from magazines and journals.
• Encourage them for performing group activities in
science
• ask them to prepare some topics and teach them in
class
• Encourage to prepare albums –events
• Giving some responsibility in “science club”
CONCLUSION
India is a democratic form of education.
Each individual has a freedom to develop
according to his means and capability. Thus
sharp minded or gifted children should given
chances to develop according to their
capability.

CHARACTERISTICS OF GIFTED CHILDREN • They learn faster in class and laboratory • They learn by observation- literature method,problem solving,discussion and seminar method and acquiring new knowledge. • They will makes full use of their previous knowledge in learning new things. • They keep themselves updated with latest information in the field of physical science
  • 7. • They give constructive views for improvements of science library ,science laboratory etc,… • They obtain highest marks in theoretical and practical examinations. • they are always curious to go on visits/excursions. • Magazines ,books---- free time learning • Alert,good observer and quick to answer • IQ LEVEL IS 130-150.

  • 11. PROBLEMS OF GIFTED CHILDREN • Donot get proper place/acceptance from teachers,parents ,students. • Naughty,talkative,adventures,thinkers,crack, mad. • not getting proper friends. • Inferiority complex • Not getting challenging activities they get bored

  • 16. CONCLUSION India is a democratic form of education. Each individual has a freedom to develop according to his means and capability. Thus sharp minded or gifted children should given chances to develop according to their capability.
