Crushism is an art movement started by Italian artist Fabio Ferrone Viola, whose works are composed of crushing discarded cans, plastic waste, and other scraps collected from the streets into sculptures. Viola's goal is to use his art to motivate people to think critically about how commercialism can promote utopian lies, and to make decisions based more on internal values than external influences. His sculptures have included figures like Mickey Mouse and JFK made entirely from crushed trash.
