2. MEASURE OF ACADEMIC PROGRESS (MAP)
Tuesday, May 2 – Friday, May 16, 2017 –Testing at QSI Phuket. Results from this testing
period will be provided with the term 3 status reports.
How you can help our children be most
successful on their MAP tests…
1. Encourage our children to try their best
on the tests so we can accurately access
their ability levels.
2.Do not stress over the test. We want
them to enjoy the challenge of seeing
how high they can reach individually.
3.Get a good 8 hours of sleep. This will help them stay alert during each test.
4.Make sure our children have a healthy breakfast which may include toast, muffins,
pancakes, eggs, a fruit smoothie, cereal (oatmeal, muesli but not the sugary kind).
These foods will help keep them focused and alert.
5.And, be to school on time.
4th
Quintile Status Reports – On Monday, May 8, 2017 Status Reports
will be sent home with students. This will be in narrative form.
Please contact us if you wish to have a meeting in regards to your
child’s report. We would be happy to coordinate a meeting with
one or more teachers.
The World Scholar’s Cup Competition – There will be an
Introductory Competition on Saturday, May 13 hosted by Head
Start International School. We have three teams that are
preparing for this event. One group of 10 year old students, a
group of 12 and 13 year old students, and a group of S.3
students. To explore this opportunity more please visit the
World Scholar’s Cup website. http://www.scholarscup.org/
Spread the Word – QSI Phuket is Great! One
of the best ways to get new students to
consider our school is through our current
parents of enrolled students – word of
mouth. Please help us build our presence on
the island by telling your friends and
neighbors all about us. Encourage them to
visit us online at Phuket.qsi.org and see all
the great things happening at QSI Phuket.
