95. Protein Synthesis
• Protein synthesis is the process of creating
proteins using the information found in DNA. A
strand of mRNA finds a strand of DNA, and, with
the help of RNA polymerase (Which translates
the information in the DNA onto the mRNA)
obtains the needed information. Than, it goes out
into the cytoplasm to find a ribosome to create
an amino acid. The ribosome provides the
nucleotides needed, and creates an amino acid
bonded by peptide bond. The amino acid (Now a
protein) than folds into it’s structure to give it a
function.
