• Cervical spondylosis pain in the
neck and shoulder, headache &
giddiness.
• Constant reading on monitor and
typing for hours keeps the
muscles supporting neck in
locked up position.
• The muscles get fatigued and
incapable of supporting the
cervical spine.
4. What is at stake?
• Repetitive Strain Injuries
Tendinopathies, nerve compression,
muscular weakness in upper limbs
dull pain, stiffness, weakness, tingling
and numbness.
• Carpal tunnel syndrome
• Tennis elbow
• Trigger finger
5. What is at stake?
• Lumbar spondylosis pain in low
back occasionally radiating to lower
limbs.
• Sitting for long hours strains the
lower back muscles and they get
fatigued.
• Unable to support lumbar spine, it
may lead to slip disc and nerve
compression.
7. Move!!
• At least every 10 minutes, take a short (10-20 second) break. Take
your hands off the keyboard and move!
• Every 30-60 minutes, take a brief (2-5 minute) break to stretch and/or
walk around.
• Break work into smaller segments and switch between tasks that use
different motions.
