• THE CONCENTRATION OF CONTROL OF AN ACTIVITY OR ORGANIZATION
UNDER A SINGLE AUTHORITY.
• THE AUTHORITY IS CENTRALIZED TO THE EXTENT OF IT NOT DELEGATED
TO THE LOWER RUNG.
Sivagami is the ultimate
example of centralization

3. DECENTRALIzATION
• THE TRANSFER OF AUTHORITY FROM A SUPERIOR TO HIS
SUBORDINATE.
• DECENTRALIZATION REFERS TO THE SYSTEMATIC EFFORT OF
DELEGATING ALL AUTHORITY TO THE LOWEST LEVELS.
In this movie, Sivagami who had
centralized power, decided to
decentralize it between her two sons –
Bahubali and Bhalla Deva

4. LEADERSHIP
• THE ACTION OF LEADING A GROUP OF PEOPLE OR AN ORGANISATION,
OR THE ABILITY TO DO SO.
• AN EFFECTIVE LEADER CREATES AN INSPIRING VISION OF THE FUTURE,

5. PLANNING AND ORGANISING
• PLANNING IS THE PROCESS OF MAKING PLANS FOR SOMETHING.
• ORGANIZING IS A SYSTEMATIC PROCESS OF STRUCTURING, INTEGRATING,
CO-ORDINATING TASKS AND ACTIVITIES IN ORDER TO ATTAIN OBJECTIVES.
We see extensive planning done
by Sivagami and her advisors. She
gives the responsibility of leading
the army to both Bahubali and
Bhalla Deva

6. PROMOTION
• IT MEANS THE ADVANCEMENT OF AN EMPLOYEE'S POSITION WITHIN
THE ORGANIZATION.
After the war Sivagami promotes
Bahubali to the king’s position as he
was the most suitable person

7. REMUNERATION
• MONEY OR A GIFT GIVEN IN RETURN FOR PERFORMING A WORK OR A
SERVICE.
As a reward for his bravery,
loyalty and determination,
Sivagami gifts Bhalla Deva
a bow

8. TRAINING
• THE ACTION OF TEACHING A PERSON A PARTICULAR SKILL OR TYPE OF
BEHAVIOUR.
• ORGANIZED ACTIVITY DONE TO IMPROVE THE RECIPIENT'S
PERFORMANCE OR TO HELP HIM OR HER ATTAIN A REQUIRED LEVEL OF
KNOWLEDGE OR SKILL.

9. DECENTRALISATION is much more suited for large organisations, as seen in
the case of the movie ‘ BAHUBALI ’.
Sivagami DELEGATES her authority and ASSIGNS responsibility to both her
sons Bahubali and Bhalla Deva. Thus, she manages the crisis of an
unexpected war effectively. In this way she ensures the safety and security of
her kingdom Mahishmathi.
