Uganda are looking at food crises. Millions of farmers may suffer losses. FAO estimated food
loss worth billions globally due to the locust attack. A kilometre may have 40 to 80 million
locusts which can destroy food of 35,000 people just in a single day. The Swarm in India is
approximately 17.5 km long and 2.5 km wide and it is spreading fast to the other Indian
states like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. If the locusts are allowed to lays eggs now, it is
predicted that the number will increase 8000 times.
