•Most of queer theorist will not
seek to define it, because it’s a
constant state of mind.
•Historically, queer theory is rooted
sexuality studies but it address
many other issue.

•Queer = unity + diversity
•Queer as inclusive of gay
& lesbian, bisexual &
transgender
communities.

challenge the idea of

paneled groups for
people based on a
lifestyle choice.

•Queer theory deals with much more
than just sex.
•It encourage us to ask ourselves this

•It also teaches us to look every literary

• The word “queer” was
used to describe
homosexual males.
• Queer theory only came
in 1990 and it is distinct
from G L studies and
feminism.
• It does not focus on
certain group of people
but highlights sexual
differences among all
people.

about power, gender,

that gender is not the
result of nature but is

movement, it is still seeking to improve
