Our kitchen and adjacent living room is open concept and we will be utilizing large windows in both areas to bring in large amounts of natural light.

The natural light will tie in with overall organic, open and airy design of the space. The light coming from the windows will reflect off the light finishes emphasizing the intent of our design.

Since our kitchen will be about 150 square feet and will have plenty of natural light coming in from the windows, we will use 6 recess cans for added lighting. The white cabinet finishes and white quartz countertops will help reflect the light.

* NATURAL LIGHTING
This kitchen has plenty of natural light flowing through the casement windows adding to a sense of well being
* AMBIENT LIGHTING
Ambient or general lighting supports the room providing softer light, thus setting the mood for functions performed
* TASK LIGHTING
Above the large waterfall island, we have 3 pendant lights for eating, meal prep, crafts or perhaps even fellowship
* ACCENT LIGHTING
The LED under cabinet strips are available in different lengths and offer dimmers for more ambiance
How will lighting affect task and colors/finishes
* NATURAL LIGHTING
Having plenty of natural light allows the ability to incorporate a rich navy color on the island, grounding the space
* AMBIENT LIGHTING
We have 7 flush mount recessed fixtures throughout the space, including over the sink area, the white shaker
cabinets, snowbound walls, and Carrera quartz will also reflect light
