Documents needed for the signup process

What are the documents needed for the signup process?
The four documents that are mandatory for the signup process for you as a seller are -
Cancelled cheque
PAN card
Company and warehouse address proof
GST certificate
Document

Cancelled cheque
Description
• Only a scanned copy of a blank cancelled cheque on the company name will be taken to verify the bank details
• The cancelled cheque is to be provided with the Name - either printed/company stamp/handwritten
• In case of handwritten name or company stamp on the cheque, it should be supported with the bank passbook with bank stamp or the bank mandate
form with the signature and stamp of the authorized bank signatory
• In case of absence of a cancelled cheque, a declaration letter from the bank with the bank details mentioned on the bank letterhead with the
signature and stamp of the authorized bank signatory can be considered
• The bank statement will not be considered for as a valid document
• No overwriting or correction on the cheque should be there

Remember these points to avoid document rejection!
We accept the cancelled cheque image if:
• Beneficiary name, Account no., and IFSC code are all printed on it

If these are not printed, we accept the cancelled cheque image if:
• the bank’s declaration/passbook with authorized signature and stamp of the bank is shared along with the cancelled cheque

If these are not printed, we do not accept the cancelled cheque image if:
• the bank’s declaration/passbook without authorized signature and stamp of the bank is shared

PAN card
Description
• PAN stands for Permanent Account Number. It is mandatory for making financial transactions
• The PAN card should be on the company name. However, in case of a sole proprietor, it can be on the seller name
• A scanned copy of the PAN card is mandatory for verification
• A photocopy/online snapshot of the PAN card will not be considered

We accept PAN card image when it is :
• Clear/Not blurred
• Scanned copy of the original document
We reject the PAN card image if :
• You share a copy which is blurred or is a scanned copy of the photocopy
of the PAN card
• You share the online snapshot of your PAN card

Company address proof
Description
• The address proof is a document that is required to verify your company address details
• Only the scanned copy of the GSTIN, Electricity/Telephone bill, Certificate of Incorporation, Municipal corporation certificate, lease agreement, Aadhaar
card, driving license on the company name will be considered
• In case of a sole proprietor, the company address proof can be on the seller name
• The electricity bill/telephone bill should not be more than 3 months old

Warehouse address proof
Description
• The Warehouse address proof is a document required to verify your warehouse address details
• In case the warehouse is in a different state, the GSTIN certificate of the new warehouse state must be provided
• However, in case of the exempted categories, the seller can provide the electricity/telephone bill, Rent/lease agreement, Certificate of Incorporation and
Municipal corporation certificate
• The electricity bill/telephone bill should not be more than 3 months old

We accept documents when you share the:
Copy of the Aadhar card (both sides) Registered GSTIN Electricity Bill mentioning
the correct Pincode
Note – The shared bills should not be older than 3 months and expired govt. certificates are not acceptable

We reject the documents if :
• You share the VAT, TIN, Tax invoice, Provisional GSTIN with us
• In case you provide the scanned one-sided copy of the Voter ID card or the Aadhaar card with the name mentioned on it
• You share a self-declaration form or bank passbook
• In case you are not a sole proprietor and have shared the documents on someone else’s name (other than the company name)

We do not accept documents when you share the:

GSTIN
Description
• GSTIN stands for the Goods & Services Tax Identification Number needed from every seller for registration to sell his products online
• It is mandatory to provide the GSTIN
• It should be on your company name. However, in case of sole proprietorship, it can be on the seller name

We accept GSTIN details when :
• The PAN number in the GSTIN submitted by the seller is the same as the PAN card number submitted by the seller
• The taxpayer type should be Regular and the status should be Active on the Govt. GSTIN portal
• It should be of the same state in which your warehouse is situated

• The taxpayer type is other than Regular and/or the status is other than Active on the Govt GSTIN portal

• The PAN number in the GSTIN number submitted by the seller is different than the PAN card number submitted by the seller

A few more tips to avoid document rejection……
Do not share unregistered GSTIN details
Do not share blurred images of the documents. Always share the
documents in the correct format (JPEG/PNG/PDF)
The details should not mismatch in correspondence to the supporting documents
The saving account’s cancelled cheque should always have the company
name printed/stamp

Steps to register with Paytm Mall

How to register with Paytm Mall?
To register as a seller with Paytm Mall, visit ‘seller.paytm.com’ and follow these steps -
Read the instructions carefully Click on Sell on Paytm
Note – It is preferable to use the Google chrome browser to sign up and login to the Paytm Mall seller panel

It is mandatory to register on Paytm.com first to get registered as a seller on Paytm Mall
Enter your registered Paytm mobile number or email ID and
password here
Click on Login Securely

Enter your name here Enter your email ID here
This option will appear only if you didn’t provide your email ID while
registering on Paytm.com

Click on Proceed

The OTP will be shared on your mobile number and email ID
Note - The OTP will be sent to your email ID only if you didn’t provide your email ID while registering on paytm.com

Enter the OTP which you received on your registered mobile number Enter the OTP which you received on your registered email ID
This option will appear only if you didn’t provide your email ID while
registering on Paytm.com

Click on Verify OTP

Select ‘Yes’ here if you are being referred by a Paytm Mall agent to
sign-up
Enter the Agent Code

If not, select ‘No’

Select ‘Yes’ here if you have a code assigned by Paytm Mall or
Brand
Enter the Code here

Click here to select the Brands in which you deal Type here the Brand Name and select from the dropdown
Here, you can select multiple brands
If your brand is not listed in the dropdown then you can enter the new brand
here

Click here to select the category of the product in which you deal

Enter the type of the product and select the category from the dropdown button
Here, you can select multiple categories

Click on Save Details

Here, you can check your Personal Information

Enter the Business Information here

Click on Choose File and upload the scanned copy of your Business
address proof
Click on check box to acknowledge the statement

Enter your PAN card details

Click on Choose File and upload the scanned copy of your PAN card Click on Next

Enter the Bank Details

Click on Choose File and Upload the scanned copy of the
cancelled cheque
Click on Save Details

Enter the Warehouse Information
If the address is same as your business address then select the check box

Enter the GSTIN details Upload the scanned copy of the valid Warehouse Address Proof

Select the logistics type which you will use and click on Save Details

Here you can check your Profile Status Click on the ‘Check Profile Status’ tab

Here, you can check the status of your documents

If documents are rejected, you can check their status here

Here, you can check which one (or more) of your document(s) has been rejected and why has it happened?
In this case, enter the correct information and upload the correct attachment and then submit the details

How to login to the Seller Panel ?
To login to the Paytm Mall seller panel, visit on ‘seller.paytm.com’ and follow these steps -
Click on Paytm Login
Note – It’s preferable to use the Google Chrome browser to sign up and login to the Paytm Mall seller panel.

Click on Sign In SecurelyEnter registered Paytm account mobile number or email ID and
password

Click on Accept to accept the T&C

To approve the updated commission, follow these steps -
Click on the Approve tab

For any concerns, you can raise a ticket via the Support tab

Best Practices For The Support Tab
Here are some best practices that should be followed for faster query resolution -
You should always mention the Order ID and the Item ID for all
queries related to orders, shipping, returns, and payments

This is the interface of the seller panel where you can see the various navigation tabs. When you login, you will see the Orders

You can track your performance on Paytm Mall on the dashboard
Helps you in viewing your performance

View the number of the orders which you need to take action on

Overview of the Dashboard
Select the desired date range Click on Total Sales to see a graphical representation of the
sales made within the selected date frame below
Scroll Down

When you scroll down, you can view the top product by revenue within the selected date frame

Select the desired date range Click on Items Sold to see a graphical representation of the
number of items sold within the selected date frame
Scroll Down

Click on Seller Cancellations to view the graphical representation of number of orders cancelled by you within the
selected date frame

Click on User Cancellations & Returns to view the graphical representation of the number of orders that have been
cancelled by the buyer within the selected date frame

Tabular representation of Revenue lost in the selected date frame

Click on Shipment SLA breaches to view graphical representation of number of orders that were not shipped with in
(service level agreement)

Click on Payment Released to view the graphical representation of your payments that are released on the selected
date frame

Click on Catalogue Out Of Stock
In tabular form, you will be able to view:
• Top “out of stock” products
• Top products, going to be out of stock
You can update the stock accordingly
