Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors!
The FMCSR says that “All persons designated to supervise drivers
must receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and 60
minutes of training on controlled substance use.” 49 CFR 382.603

Jim Smith is Vice President of Specialty
Safety at Employbridge, ProDrivers’
parent company. Jim is responsible for
safety within the Specialty division of
Employbridge to include transportation,
warehousing, and manufacturing
operations.
Prior to joining ProDrivers in 2010, Jim
spent 10 Years as a Regional Safety
Manager for one of the nation’s largest
private fleets. Jim holds both a Bachelors
and Masters Degree in the field of
Safety. In addition, he is one of only 2%
of Transportation Safety Professionals
to hold the nations most distinguished
safety designation, the Certified Safety
Professional (CSP).
Jim is an authorized OSHA outreach
trainer for General Industry. He was
certified by General Electric in 2001 as
a Six-Sigma Black Belt. He is currently
a member of the American Society of
Safety Engineers, National Private Truck
Counsel, and serves as a member of the
American Trucking Association’s Safety
Management Council.
