Essay On Hair Extensions
If you think that your favorite celebrity's full, flowing locks of hair are the result of good genes, you should know that they're more likely the result
of a good stylist and at least one type of hair extension. So if your DNA has let you down, you can do what the rich and famous do – get a great head of
hair for a relatively small investment. Here's everything you need to know about hair extensions:
You Can Choose Human Hair Or Synthetic Hair
When it comes to choosing the hair for your extensions, you have two choices: human hair and synthetic hair. Generally, human hair is more expensive
than synthetic with the pricier types being "remy" and "virgin." Remy human hair is hair that has been gathered from the head of its donor in such a
way that the cuticles (the outermost part of the hair shaft) are properly aligned in relation to neighboring hairs. This makes for a silkier, softer texture
that can be used to make not only high–quality extensions but high–quality wigs and hairpieces as well. Virgin human hair is hair that ... Show more

Dry hair completely with your fingers before brushing it; and when you do brush, you must hold the extensions where they're attached to avoid
pulling them out. You should be able to use all of your favorite hair products; but if you use anything oily, be sure to keep it away from tape or
braids as oil may loosen the extensions. Another tip for extension care is to loosely braid your hair before bedtime to keep it from tangling while you
sleep.

Connectivity And Related Survivability Issues Of Wsns
In the previous section, we mainly focus on the connectivity and related survivability issues of WSNs. It is the foundation that we deploy WSNs to
achieve its main objective which is to monitor the field of interest / detect desired data and it is coverage that determines whether the field of interest
is under strict surveillance or not. So, in this section, we will summarize the related work on integrated connectivity and coverage problem in WSN. In
[68], [69], it's clear that connectivity only requires that the location of any active node be within the communication range of one or more active nodes
such that all active nodes can form a connected communication backbone, while coverage requires all locations in the coverage region be... Show more

The objective of the research efforts on relationship between coverage and connectivity is to utilize the minimum number of sensor nodes to achieve
required coverage degree while maintaining desired system connectivity.
In the following parts of this section, we will firstly summarize the related work on analyzing the relationship between the sensing range Rs and
communication range Rc. Then, we demonstrate the research efforts on finding critical conditions for achieving connectivity and coverage. Finally, we
survey the approaches on connectivity and coverage in WSNs.
Critical condition for 1–coverage to achieve 1–connectivity:
In [68], [69], authors first time proved the sufficient condition for 1–coverage imply to 1–connectivity: "for a set of sensors that at least 1–cover a
convex region A, the communication graph is connected if Rc≥ 2Rs". Based on this result, when we design a WSN system, we can focus on node
deployment strategy and elimiate the connectivity problem by assuming the Rc≥ 2Rs. Zhang and Hou in [70] present a distributed Optimal
Geographical Density Control (OGDC) scheme that considers the integrated combine coverage and connectivity problem. The objective of this work is
to minimize the number of active nodes in the WSN. Similar to [68], [69], the authors also proved that coverage implies connectivity when Rc≥
2Rs. In OGDC, the nodes can automatically

Speech About Emo Haircut
Emo cool haircut for guys The term emo is derived from the word emotional which refers to a fusion of punk rock and alternative music genre.
Currently, the emo haircut is not just embraced by people who are into the music scene but also by those who are into fashion. Emo does not
really reflect a single type of haircut that is generic for everybody who would like to achieve this look. There are just several key characteristics
that have to be followed whilst the rest depends on how you desire to play with your cut and style. In fact, emo haircut works best for guys with
black hair color. However, various streaks are quite often applied on the hair to add more appeal to the look. They could be green, blue, pink or
others which will stand out from the black locks. Moreover, you could have your... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the benefits of this cool haircut for men is that it suits most face shapes. If you avoid letting it get too wide at the sides, you will save your
hair and face from looking rounder. Using a grade one up to where the undercut ends, the sides must have been clippered the same length. The hair
through the top section may be razored in case you want to take weight out of thicker hair or if you desire to emphasize on texture, you may point
cut the hair with scissors. As for styling this haircut, there are multiple ways to do it. You could scrape it back with a wet look gel or pomade to
produce a very contemporary, slick finish. Another way is for the hair cut the same length, it may simply be washed and then worn in a louche
topknot on casual days. If you tend to achieve more dramatic side parting or quiff, then blow dry the hair using a round brush. Then apply a root
booster and some hairspray to keep it in place and to support the shape at the front. Actually, this is quite a low maintenance haircut that makes any man

Abstract
Graph theory is becoming increasingly significant as it is applied to other areas of mathematics, science and technology. It is being actively used in
fields as varied as biochemistry (genomics), electrical engineering (communication networks and coding theory), computer science (algorithms and
computation) and operations research
(scheduling). The powerful combinatorial methods found in graph theory have also been used to prove fundamental results in other areas of pure
mathematics. We discuss about computer network security (worm propagation) using minimum ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is known as the timetabling problem [4] and can be solved using the following strategy. Construct a bipartite multigraphG with vertices x1, x2,
..., xm, y1, y2, ..., yn such that vertices xi and yj are connected by pij edges. We presume that in any one period each professor can teach at most one
sub ject and that each subject can be taught by at most one professor. Consider, first, a single period.
The timetable for this single period corresponds to a matching in the graph and, conversely, each matching corresponds to a possible assignment of
professors to subjects taught during this period. Thus, the solution to the timetabling problem consists of partitioning the edges of G into the
minimum number of matchings. Equivalently, we must properly color the edges of G with the minimum number of colors. We shall show yet
another way of solving the problem using the vertex coloring algorithm [7]. Recall that the line graph L(G) of G has as vertices the edges of G and two
vertices in L(G) are connected by an edge if and only if the corresponding edges in G have a vertex in common. The line graph L(G) is a simple graph
and a proper vertex coloring of L(G) yields a proper edge coloring of G using the same number of colors. Thus, to solve the timetabling problem, it
suffices to find a minimum

Research Paper On Red Velvet Cake
Red Velvet Cake, also known as Red Waldorf Cake is a layer of chocolate chocolate with chocolate flavour to a considerable number of red food
colours produced by the bright red tones. It is most typically combined with a rich, soft, fluffy frost that provides punching and colour contrast for
most cakes. The first verifiable record of this artificial colour cake was in 1959, and at the second year was named "red velvet cake". On the other hand,
"red velvet cake" without the adjective red, does not mean that our subject dating back to the post–Civil War period, refers to soft, moist and smooth
textures. So the same recipe for the August 8, 1871 New Dominique (Montreal) "Velvet Cake" and the November 1871 Ballou Monthly Magazine
(Boston) was butter cake bread with lemon extract. "Brown Velvet Chocolate Cake" a drop of no edible pigment was promoted in the 1940s. The

At the time, the Waldorf Hotel never served Red Velvet Cake or Waldorf Red Cake like it. What is the first time someone has brought a whole bottle
or two red food colours into the cake batter? Some sources attributed the original "red velvet" to Adams Extract & Spice, Gonzalez, Texas, with a view
to increasing sales in the 1940s – which seems reasonable, since US companies have created product dishes. However, the earliest verifiable record
of the company's association with the cake was around 1962. Perhaps a 1950s housewife was not satisfied with the brown tones of her chocolate
cake, blending a lot of food colouring. Or there may be some careless measurement. Or the baker wants a red cake for Valentine's Day or another
suitable occasion. Accidental or deliberate, the result is a fire red cake, the colour plays an indispensable role in the way people feel and enjoy the

Crime Scenes: Agarose Gel Electrophoresis Essay
As seen on many crime shows and in real–life crime scenes, it is necessary to be able to identify DNA. Most of the time, this is done using a
technique known as gel electrophoresis. Gel electrophoresis is a method used to separate the macromolecules that make up nucleic acids, such as DNA
and RNA, along with proteins. Gel electrophoresis is significant because it has given scientists insight on what cells cause certain diseases and has led
to advancements in DNA and fingerprint identification. My experiment will use gel electrophoresis to compare the separation of food dye in different
agarose concentrations. The background for this experiment includes the following subjects: inventors, real–world uses, necessary components,

This theory was formulated in 1970 and is one of the most recent on the topic of gel electrophoresis. The National Academy of Science states, "The
behavior of macromolecules in gel filtration and gel electrophoresis may be predicted from Ogston's model for random mesh work of fibers. This
model has been generalized to apply to non–spherical molecules and to several gel types. The theory defines conditions for optimal separation and
optimal resolution in gel electrophoresis and gel filtration" (Unified Theory for Gel Electrophoresis and Gel Filtration). There are a few
components that compose a gel electrophoresis chamber. First of all, there is a chamber used to contain the gel. The gel used in my experiment will
be made from agarose. In order to create an electric field, there are positive and negative electrodes attached to a power source. My experiment will
use alligator clips as the electrodes and nine–volt batteries as the power source. A buffer solution, in this case a 1% solution of baking soda,
submerges the gel to allow the ions to carry through and maintain the stability of the Ph levels. A comb is used to generate wells inside of the gel to
hold the samples. The comb will be made of styrofoam (Forensic Science: Building Your Own Tool For Identifying DNA).
Proteins, or nucleic acids, are isolated and separated within a gel. The gel is cast in a thin, welled slab. In this particular experiment, the gel will be

Grade Hierarchy Analysis Call Graph
According to Figure 2.8, node 7, node 8 and node 9 do not have any other predecessors except node 5 & node 6 and by removing non–instantiated
methods they become head nodes. So, I should remove these heads from graph and this new graph can be considered as RTA result for the given
CHA Call Graph (Figure 2.9).
Figure 2.9: The result of removing head nodes from graph
To clarify this approach, I will use the computed Class Hierarchy Analysis Call Graph from the first example (Figure 2.6) and convert it to RTA. Since
set of instantiated classes contains Class B & Class C, according to the algorithm, I have to remove node A.m( ).
Moreover, if I check Call Graph again, I will find that node Interface.( ) has a reflexive edge and it's indegree=1 . Therefore, this node should be
deleted as well.
Figure 2.10 illustrates a conversion from CHA to RTA:

2.3.3 Class Type Analysis (CTA)
CTA's main idea is narrowing down the set of reachable methods of a call site b.n( ) inside method A.m( ) by keeping track of "available target types"
within class A. Since CTA algorithm is refinement of CHA and RTA, I can reuse CHA or RTA Call Graph result in CTA and decrease the set of
reachable methods of a call b.n( ) to make it more precise.
CTA algorithm implementation has three phases:
a)Class Graph Generation
b)Data flow

Food Additives And Its Effects On The Modern World
People who live in the modern world can readily enjoy a variety of delicious foods such as hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, and even sushi rolls.
These meals, in many cases, do not require people to spend much time to prepare them. Instead of time–consuming preparation, people only have to
mix up all packed ingredients and then put them into a microwave. In respect of sushi roles, they are usually sold after every cooking process is
finished. In other words, all consumers have to do is just open up the package. Because these prepared food products are processed in big factories,
most people who prefer to eat these dishes do not seem to know how to cook them from scratch. However, during industrial manufacturing, ingredients
that are usually not found in the house kitchen are used frequentlyв€’food additives. Food additives are eatable chemicals which make food appetizing
and keep it fresh. The final goal to utilize these chemicals is to save production cost. For instance, strawberry gummies people eat are usually flavored
with food additives to mimic "strawberrish" smell, taste, and color. Manufacturers paint gummies with red, orange, blue, and green dye because the cost
of food dyes is incredibly cheaper than the cost of real fruit to flavor the same amount of gummies. Alternatively, orange juice is another typical
example of food products with food additives. The amount of juice squeezed from one orange is really small. It cannot fill even a small cup.
Therefore, juice

The Health Of The Common American
The health of the common American is almost guaranteed at the center of every joke; from sly comments about Americans only eating fast food, all

The At The North Texas Teen Book
Hi everyone! This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending The North Texas Teen Book Festical in Irving, TX. It was so much fun, and honestly
it was one of the best weekends of my life. This post is just an overview of some pictures and the things I did. Let 's begin! (All the bloggers
/booktubers I mention will be linked at the end!)
Friday
Friday was educator 's day, but they had an author luncheon that was open to the public. The authors at the luncheon were Sarah Dessen, Ruta Sepetys,
and E. Lockhart. I met up with my friend, Avery, to go to the event. As we were sitting in the lobby, we saw Marie Lu walk in and I started freaking
out. I wanted to go and ask for a picture, but I was too shy to go up to her. We went inside and sat at a table close to the front (closest to the reserve
author table).
As we were sitting there, I look in the corner and Ruta Sepetys (AKA ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS) is standing in the corner. Avery and I
went over to talk to Ruta, and she was absolutely adorable. If you ever have the chance to meet Ruta, please seize your opportunity because she 's
absolutely brilliant. Avery and I got a picture with her.
img_5994–1
We finally got the courage to take a picture with Marie Lu, so here 's my picture with Marie:

I was able to get my entire Legend trilogy signed by her the next day. I didn 't get a chance to talk to her during the signing because there wasn 't
enough time.
After getting a picture with Marie, I sat down to start

Distribution Of Minimum Spanning Trees
Distributed Verification of Minimum Spanning Trees
Authors: Amos Korman, Shay Kutten
Problem Statement: A graph and a tree is given as input in a distributed manner and the algorithm is should be able to verifiy if the tree is a Minimum
Spanning Tree (MST).
Detailed Explanation of the Problem Statement
Definitions
Spanning tree: A spanning tree of an undirected graph is a subgraph which is a tree and includes all the vertices of G.
Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) : A spanning tree of a graph whose weight (sum of weight of its edges) is less than or equal to the weight of all other
spanning trees of the graph.
Verification of a Spanning Tree: A graph and a tree is given as input and the algorithm should check if the tree is an MST for the graph.
In distributed verification of Minimum Spanning Trees, the input is provided in a distributed manner which means that each node of the graph knows
which of its edges belong to the tree. A node does not have any knowledge of the edges which do not emanate from it. The verification algorithm should
label the vertices of the graph so that every node, given its own label and the labels of its neighbours only is able to detect if these edges are MST
edges or not and whether the input tree is an MST.
Motivation
The motivation for working on verification algorithms is that verification is easier than computation. In a distributed setting verification is even more
important because the tree is given in a distributed manner and computing such a

Visualization Of A Graph Essay
Recent advancements in data collection is producing big complex data in many areas which can be modeled as graphs – entities (vertices/nodes) and
their relationships (edges). They are increasingly being encountered in various fields of study. With this burst in data creation and collection, effective
analysis of medium to large graphs is becoming increasingly popular in many fields such as social network analysis, biology, education, etc. With this
increasing demand in large graph analytics, visual analysis of graphs has gained a lot of attention. Visualization has become an important tool in graph
analysis and plays a critical role in thorough understanding of graphs. A key advantage of visualization is, representing large amounts... Show more

These graphs exhibit a power–law degree distribution of the vertices. begin{equation} P(x) ~ k^{–gamma}, –3 < gamma < –2 end{equation} This
indicates that a small portion of vertices in the graph have a very high degree and there are a lot of vertices with lower degrees. Vertices with very
high degree are key vertices for the connectivity of the graph and these vertices are called as hub vertices. Examples of hub vertices are a network
router in a communication network, a popular person in a social network with many connections, etc. Graph visualization featuring relatively important
node identification, revealing the structure of the graph is useful for these type of graphs. Majority of the existing graph visualization algorithms –
force–based, etc. result in high computation times and generate a space–filling, cluttered visualization like a hairball. This visual clutter is due to
overlapping vertices which are a result of drawing all connected nodes close to each other and too many edge–crossings making the graph not readable.
These layout generation algorithms fail to either reveal its intrinsic structure or readily identify relatively important vertices. Rendering large number of
vertices in a small space aggravates visualization clutter by increasing overlapping, thereby making it hard to see/select the vertices. A lot of solutions
have been proposed

Multi-objective Reconfiguration of Electrical Distribution...
EDSs are mainly designed meshed but operated radially for some technical and financial concerns. Distribution networks can be represented with a
graph in ordered pairs consisting of a set of vertices, i.e. buses and a set of edges, i.e. branches; in terms of mathematics this equivalents to a sparse
matrix which its non–zero elements signifies the existence of an edge in the system. On this basis a typical distribution network is radial if it forms a tree
where each load bus is exactly supplied from one source node, i.e. substation bus [11]. This suggests MOEDNRC problem as identifying the set of
non–dominated trees of the given graph. In this section we've devised a heuristic technique based on this idea as well as the rules defined in [30] to
retain the connectivity and radial properties of individuals during the optimization process. It's worth mentioning that these properties are broadly
disturbed by EAs due to the stochastic nature of these algorithms unless a heuristic plan is devised to preserve the mentioned properties. As a result
generation of infeasible agents in sheer numbers by EAs is quite a normal observation. The proposed technique is able to prevail over this shortcoming
and would increase the performance of EAs as well. Before proceeding with the designed technique, some terminologies are first introduced to set the
stage for the plan.
Loop vectors (LVs)
The term LV is used to identify branches contributing to forming loops in EDSs when all

Description Of A Graph
Use the map to create a graph where vertices represent street intersections and edges represent streets. Define c(u,v) = 1 for all edges (u,v). Since a
street can be traversed, start off by creating a directed edge in each direction, then make the transformation to a flow problem with no antiparallel
edges as described in the section. Make the home the source and the school the sink. If there exist at least two distinct paths from source to sink
then the flow will be at least 2 because we could assign f(u,v) = 1 for each of those edges. However, if there is at most one distinct path from source to
sink then there must exist a bridge edge (u, v) whose removal would disconnect s from t. Since c(u, v) = 1, the flow into u is at most 1. We may... Show

Exercise 26.2–10
Suppose we already have a maximum flow f. Consider a new graph G where we set the capacity of edge (u, v) to f (u, v). Run Ford–Fulkerson, with the
mod– ification that we remove an edge if its flow reaches its capacity. In other words, if f(u,v) = c(u,v) then there should be no reverse edge
appearing in residual network. This will still produce correct output in our case because we never exceed the actual maximum flow through an edge,
so it is never advantageous to cancel flow. The augmenting paths chosen in this modified version of Ford– Fulkerson are precisely the ones we want.
There are at most |E| because every augmenting path produces at least one edge whose flow is equal to its capacity, which we set to be the actual
flow for the edge in a maximum flow, and our modification prevents us from ever destroying this progress.
Problem 26–5
a. Since the capacity of a cut is the sum of the capacity of the edges going from a vertex on one side to a vertex on the other, it is less than or equal to
the sum of the capacities of all of the edges. Since each of the edges has a capacity that is ≤ C, if we were to replace the capacity of each edge
with C, we would only be potentially increasing the sum of the capacities of all the edges. After so changing the capacities of the edges, the sum of
the capacities of all the edges is equal to C|E|, potentially an overestimate of the original capacity of any cut, and so of the minimum cut.

Concerns On Toxicity Of Food Dyes
Concerns on Toxicity of Food Dyes Abstract Food dyes have been a growing topic in the United States ever since the 1970s since they are used in
many of our foods in order to make certain foods more appealing to our senses. In the United States, most artificial/synthetic food dyes are currently
legal. Not all scientists agree on the adverse effects that these food dyes can possibly display. Due to recent studies, the British government has
already banned food dyes in their country by the year 2009. In addition, the European Parliament passed a law that requires a warning on all foods
that do contain food dyes tested after July 20, 2010. Many parents are petitioning against these food dyes. These parents' goal is to make artificial
/synthetic food dyes a large enough concern to be noticed and lead to a ban on these controversial dyes. The ultimate goal of these parents is to
achieve the rules and regulations in which the United Kingdom has accomplished. This paper will look at the concerns of these food dyes that the
parents have. There is much research and controversy over the truth about these food dyes. This paper will be of importance to help bring out the
truth as to why food dyes are even of concern. After much qualitative analysis this paper plans to answer, why are parents so concerned about
artificial/synthetic food dyes in their food? Overview/ Background Food dyes were used all the way back to ancient times. Unlike today, those dyes
were naturally occurring.

This haircut has got an edgy look but the emphasis of the edges is reduced by the amazing hair colour and the wavy texture of the hair. In this haircut
again the hair are left long up top and they are short on the sides. In this style you will need to create soft height and for that a construction paste is the
best choice.
6 TEXTURED LENGTH
This hairstyle has become talk of the day and this is very high fashion. A lot many people are now opting for this style as it greatly adds to your
personality. The hair up top have a lot of length as compared to the sides which are shorter in length. This cut looks cute especially on girls with round
faces
7 COPPER CURLS
This haircut has some gorgeous copper colour with a little bit of added brown colour forming strips of brown. This shade makes it more natural.
Long wavy bangs and a side part add attractiveness to this soft curly awesome style. The broken up curls look so romantic thus making this style a
must have especially for a date night. The shoulder length hair not just look sexy but they have another purpose too. They make a round face look thin
and elongated.

4.2. Traffic Signal Lights:
To study the traffic control problem at an arbitrary point of intersection, it has to be modeled mathematically by using a simple graph for the traffic
accumulation data problem. The set of edges of the rudimentary graph will represent the communication link between the set of nodes at an
intersection. In the graph stand for the traffic control problem, the traffic streams which may move at the same time at an intersection without any
difference will be joined by an edge and the streams which cannot move together will not be connected by an edge.
The functioning of traffic lights i.e. turning Green/Red/Yellow lights and timing between them. Here vertex coloring technique is utilised to solve
contravenes of time and space by identifying the chromatic number for the number of cycles needed.

viral when reached to certain connections. In sociology, economics, political science, medicine, social biology, psychology, anthropology, history, and
related fields, one often wants to study a society by examining the structure of connections within the society. This could befriend networks in a high

Network Flows

Prerequisites: The prerequisites for this chapter are graphs and trees. See
Sections 9.1 and 10.1 of Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications.
Introduction
In this chapter we solve three very different problems.
Example 1
Joe the plumber has made an interesting offer. He says he has lots of short pieces of varying gauges of copper pipe; they are nearly worthless to
him, but for only 1/5 of the usual cost of installing a plumbing connection under your house, he will use a bunch of T– and Y–joints he picked up at a
distress sale and these small pipes to build the network shown in Figure 1. He claims that it will deliver three gallons per minute ... Show more content

Example 4
Find a flow in the graph of Figure 3.
Solution:
The path p = s, b, a, t extends from s to t, and seen as a sequence of pipes, the largest amount of flow that could travel along it is the minimum of the
capacities of the pipes comprising it. This minimum is 2, which is c(s, b)

and also c(b, a). Thus we put number pairs on each of the edges, the second entry being 2 for each edge in the path and 0 for the other two edges. The
result is shown in Figure 4.
Figure 4.
Graph of Figure 3 with flow along path s,b,a,t.
There are two ways we can view a flow, and Example 4 illustrates them both. One view is to trace out the path from the source to the sink of one
or more units of flow. In the example, path p is such a path. The other view is to measure the total flow in each edge of the graph. This view is
shown in the example by our placing the amount of flow along each edge. Since there is actually only one flow, namely the orderly procession of
fluid from the source to the sink through the network, these two views must be equivalent.
When solving the problem of finding maximum flows through the graph, the second view is preferable for two reasons. If we are searching a very
large network by hand, it may well be impossible for us to п¬Ѓnd a best set

Essay about Hair Dying
Hair Dying
As people look around the different cities of our fair country, one might notice that many people nowadays are coloring their hair to cover grey or just
for the fun of it. One difference among the younger generation and the older generation is the colors that are chosen for their hair. The younger
generation of this day and age seem to prefer wild colors such as Infra Red, Mystic Heather, Deadly Nightshade, Tiger Lily, etc, as self–expression
compared to the older generation choosing natural shades to cover the signs of aging. This can be seen in the rising number of young people that are
seen around with these types of wild colors. Not all young people choose the wild colors over natural shades because some choose the ... Show more

The website states that these celebrities use the hair colors often. This site is evidence that the trend of dying one's hair a wild shade exists in the
United States. Other companies are also taking part in the wild hair color business so as to keep up with the current competition. Companies such as
BWild, Hot Head, and even Jerome Russell are participating in the trend of wild hair color to accommodate both the younger and the older population.
On the other hand, classic companies such as Clairol, Dark & Lovely and L'Oreal still offer the majority of the natural hair colors that one can buy in
a store such as Wal–Mart. These companies can have a productive future as long as they are able to keep up with all other forms of competition. As
to my current knowledge, none of these companies offer outrageous colors such as Pillarbox Red, or AfterMidnight. Sticking to the traditional
colors is not a bad thing because there is still a business in natural hair colors. People still like to color their hair so it looks like the color they used
to have or a lighter or darker shade of the color they presently have. The largest group to purchase hair color products in the older generation is
women. They might do this because they see grey coming in or are trying a new look out.
CNN.com knew that hair coloring was a big trend as early as 1996. (Klensch, 1996). They predicted that the trend would continue on into 1997 but it

Provider and Patient Attributes
We collected a set of attributes for providers and patients from the EDW. For providers, we extracted employee ID, employee role, and a physician
index (a Boolean value; 1 if provider is a type of physician, 0 if not). For patients, we extracted age, encounter type (all inpatient in this data set),
admission and discharge times, primary diagnosis, discharge location, length of stay, med service (department to which the patient was admitted),
discharge disposition (where the patient was discharged to), and an index noting whether or not the patient had expired.
Network Visualization
We created two types of networks in this study. The first is a directed bipartite network and represents interactions between providers and patient
records (Figure 2). The second network is undirected and depicts shared patient record access between providers (Figure 3). Visualization for both
networks was performed using Gephi. [59] Further description of these networks follows.

Straight Hair Vs Clean Hair
People who dye their hair commonly have straight or slightly wavy hair. I have seen numerous people with straight hair get highlights, streaks, or
even color their whole head. But one thing that is uncommon, almost rare is people with colored my type of hair. My type of hair can be described
as curly, kinky, frizzy, natural, or even as afro hair. Growing up I have seen very few people with color their afro hair. Not only in my hometown, but
nearly everywhere I have been to and even in the media. I want to know why dyed straight hair is more common than dyed afro hair. Whether that must
do with the effects hair dye has to natural hair. Or the price and extended effort of taking care of dyed hair. Or even the way hair trends are
portrayed in the media and by celebrities When dyeing darker hair, bleach is needed to lighten the color for the actual hair dye to color the hair.
Bleach is harmful to the hair as it causes dryness and breakage. Natural hair is usually dark and would need to be bleached if it were going to be
dyed, but the last thing it needs is more dryness. From experience, my type of hair dries out easily and needs numerous other products to keep it
moisturized. Hair dye is purely chemical which might affect curl patterns and the overall look of the hair. Convenience stores don't always carry the
best quality products for an at home treatment and don't have the best selection of products for different hair types. While going to the salon is an

Analysis Of Local Search Algorithm For STP
From the tree SP we presented in the algorithm that we have obtained via Local Search Algorithm for STP, we have generated the matrix of cost.
This is done by assigning a cost to all the edges of tree SP and by assigning a cost on "n" no. of nodes to all the other edges in graph. This assignment
of cost helps in recognizing the cost of the longest possible path between a pair of nodes in any spanning tree is nв€’1 (i.e. it passes nв€’1 edges) while
the cost of the shortest path between any pair of nodes without using of SPT edges is at least "n" (i.e. passes one edge). Consequently, the 802.1d
protocol will produce the intended spanning tree "SP".

considered = considered + u; end To the obtained spanning tree from above algorithm we add two types of edges so that we can get a bi–connected
graph. The bi–connected graph has a significance that if any of the edge becomes down then also the network will be connected via another edge.
This gives us assurance of always up time for a network. This means in case of link failure alternate link will always be present to ensure the network
connectivity.
In this type1 edge connect a leaf with the higher level node while the type 2 edge connect a non– leaf node (not the root) with the no–leaf node or

To pretend a network in which a switch has many ports, we define a ratio "r". This means each node in the tree is connected to at least "r" edges. In
each test graph, from the generated bi–connected graph, we create three more trees with ratio r15 = n/15, r10 = n/10 and r5 = n/5 (where n = no. of

Abstract
In this paper, an artificial food dye will be made to mimic the color of Full Throttle. To determine what food dye are needed, Full Throttle will be put
through a spectrometer to determine what wavelengths are absorbed. Specific wavelengths absorbed will correspond to specific colors absorbed. It
was determined that yellow 5 and yellow 6 will be used to make our artificial food dye to mimic Full Throttle. Using Beer's Law, it was determined
that a concentration of 0.0000236 moles of Yellow 5 and a concentration of 0.0001494 moles of yellow 6. Using our line of best fit from the
absorption graphs, it was determined ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When making the absorption graphs for the yellow 5 and yellow 6, the lines of best fit were giving numbers that were extremely small. After help
from the TA, it was found that our concentrations used where twice as small of a concentration compared to what was actually used for Full Throttle.
To correct this the molarity's were multiplied by ВЅ. For example when finding the x value in our equation y=2.044x+0.2067 the answer is x = 7.28–5
moles. To correct this, that number is multiplied by 0.5 to get the correct value of 3.64*10^–5. This new number is what was used in the equation
c1v1=c2v2. After the solution was made to mimic Full Throttle it was discovered that the beverage only had one food dye. The experiment was
intended to have a beverage with two food dyes present. To make up for this, orange PowerAde was used and the experiment was repeated for
orange PowerAde. The solution was made for the orange PowerAde and its absorption graph was compared to that of the diluted orange PowerAde
solution. Comparing the two graphs, have the same peaks although these peaks are at different absorption levels. Since the two graphs have the same
peaks it is safe to assume that the same food dyes are present in both solutions. It is important to note that there are two peaks in each graph despite
only seeing one peak. This is because both peaks are located so close to each other that they merge as one overall peak. When comparing the two

Dyes in Foods: Natural versus Synthetic
Dyes in Foods
Kool–Aid, strawberry ice cream, and Doritos: What do these things have in common? Whether you realize it or not, many ordinary foods contain dyes.
Some of the dyes are natural; others are synthetic. Is one better than the other?
According to the The Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia, a dye is a "synthetic or natural coloring used to color various materials." Today, many dyes
are used in foods all around the world. As of January 2014, the United States Food and Drug Administration certifies nine different dyes–Blue 1, 2;
Green 3; Red 3, 5, 6, 40; Yellow 5 and 6 (Beil). Blue dyes are usually found in ice creams, blueberry–flavored foods, and baked goods. Red dyes are
often in candies, cookies, and chips. Cheeses and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Natural dyes are also harder to blend with the foods the coloring is being added to.
Even back in the 1800s, using dyes in foods created a controversy (Beil). When people first started using artificial dyes, chalk, copper, coal tar, and
lead were tried. After studied, scientists realized that these ingredients were poisonous and were banned from American foods (Beil). However,
countries around the world continued to use coloring similar to the ones that were first attempted in America. The food industry realized that people
were getting sick from these added chemicals and went back to not adding anything into their foods. The problem was swept under the rug until it
came up again in 1918. A new dye came into the food industry world, which was classified as Sudan 1. Countries did not think this dye was harmful
because it appeared to be a "natural color" (Winnett).
This dye was not added into American foods but it was in foods imported into the States. Sudan 1 was used in Indian chili powder and other similar
spices. Immediately, people all over the world began to get sick, and this dye was banned worldwide. In 1995, Italy realized that European countries
still added this in over three hundred–fifty foods illegally (Winnett). Italian government officials told the Food Services of America, and then the United
Kingdom products were tested. Sure enough, these products were contaminated. However, this was discovered two years too late; hundreds of products

various major cities in the United States and southern Canada to earn points as well as completing routes designated on the destination tickets. The

destination tickets not kept by a player are returned to draw pile for later in the game. Note that some versions of the game remove any discarded

On a player's turn, he/she chooses one of three options: Build a train connecting two adjacent cities using sets of colored train cards to earn points

minimum of one to earn points at the end of the game. Play continues in this fashion for each player until one player has two or fewer train tokens left
and then everyone still has one more turn.
The points earned from building a train connecting two adjacent cities are based on the length of the route with the longer routes earning more points
per train token. Routes of length one and two earn only one point per token while a route of length three earns a total of four

What Is Graph Theoretical Analysis
1.3.4. Introduction to graph theoretical analysis. The case of brain perfusion SPECT.
In the field of quantitative neuroimaging, graph theoretical analysis is one of the methods to study brain connectivity [93–95, 100, 101]. A key concept
of this method is the notion of topology. This concept can be illustrated with a simple idea which is used when we travel in the subway of any large
city. In figure 3 two maps of the London subway appear, the first map shows a precise spatial description of the railways (or lines) through which
trains travel (i.e., the subway topography), whereas the second one is only concerned with the relative locations of subway stations and connecting
lines (i.e., the subway topology). These two maps do not coincide with regards to the relative position of the stations, neither in the distances nor in the
location of the lines. However, the topological map simplifies the problem for the traveler. For example, two stations may be physically
(topographically) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By simply inspecting the topological maps, it is not easy to know if one subway is better organized than the other (e.g., subway efficiency). One way
to simplify this problem is to use metrics that quantify or analyze the subway network using graph theory [94, 101]. Hence the name of graph
theoretical analysis.
A first aspect to measure could be how easy it is to travel between any two stations (e.g. the number of stations on average, between the start and end
of the trip). This aspect is relevant, especially if the traveler wants to visit different parts of the city on the same day. This example illustrates the
concept of global efficiency of a graph [94, 101]. The metric of global efficiency is a way to quantify the global connectivity (integration) of the
network. In this example, it is assumed that the number of stations (nodes) and lines (connectors) are the same in the two subways that are

Essay On Hair Extensions

  • 1. Essay On Hair Extensions If you think that your favorite celebrity's full, flowing locks of hair are the result of good genes, you should know that they're more likely the result of a good stylist and at least one type of hair extension. So if your DNA has let you down, you can do what the rich and famous do – get a great head of hair for a relatively small investment. Here's everything you need to know about hair extensions: You Can Choose Human Hair Or Synthetic Hair When it comes to choosing the hair for your extensions, you have two choices: human hair and synthetic hair. Generally, human hair is more expensive than synthetic with the pricier types being "remy" and "virgin." Remy human hair is hair that has been gathered from the head of its donor in such a way that the cuticles (the outermost part of the hair shaft) are properly aligned in relation to neighboring hairs. This makes for a silkier, softer texture that can be used to make not only high–quality extensions but high–quality wigs and hairpieces as well. Virgin human hair is hair that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Dry hair completely with your fingers before brushing it; and when you do brush, you must hold the extensions where they're attached to avoid pulling them out. You should be able to use all of your favorite hair products; but if you use anything oily, be sure to keep it away from tape or braids as oil may loosen the extensions. Another tip for extension care is to loosely braid your hair before bedtime to keep it from tangling while you sleep. • 2. Connectivity And Related Survivability Issues Of Wsns In the previous section, we mainly focus on the connectivity and related survivability issues of WSNs. It is the foundation that we deploy WSNs to achieve its main objective which is to monitor the field of interest / detect desired data and it is coverage that determines whether the field of interest is under strict surveillance or not. So, in this section, we will summarize the related work on integrated connectivity and coverage problem in WSN. In [68], [69], it's clear that connectivity only requires that the location of any active node be within the communication range of one or more active nodes such that all active nodes can form a connected communication backbone, while coverage requires all locations in the coverage region be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The objective of the research efforts on relationship between coverage and connectivity is to utilize the minimum number of sensor nodes to achieve required coverage degree while maintaining desired system connectivity. In the following parts of this section, we will firstly summarize the related work on analyzing the relationship between the sensing range Rs and communication range Rc. Then, we demonstrate the research efforts on finding critical conditions for achieving connectivity and coverage. Finally, we survey the approaches on connectivity and coverage in WSNs. Critical condition for 1–coverage to achieve 1–connectivity: In [68], [69], authors first time proved the sufficient condition for 1–coverage imply to 1–connectivity: "for a set of sensors that at least 1–cover a convex region A, the communication graph is connected if Rc≥ 2Rs". Based on this result, when we design a WSN system, we can focus on node deployment strategy and elimiate the connectivity problem by assuming the Rc≥ 2Rs. Zhang and Hou in [70] present a distributed Optimal Geographical Density Control (OGDC) scheme that considers the integrated combine coverage and connectivity problem. The objective of this work is to minimize the number of active nodes in the WSN. Similar to [68], [69], the authors also proved that coverage implies connectivity when Rc≥ 2Rs. In OGDC, the nodes can automatically ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Speech About Emo Haircut Emo cool haircut for guys The term emo is derived from the word emotional which refers to a fusion of punk rock and alternative music genre. Currently, the emo haircut is not just embraced by people who are into the music scene but also by those who are into fashion. Emo does not really reflect a single type of haircut that is generic for everybody who would like to achieve this look. There are just several key characteristics that have to be followed whilst the rest depends on how you desire to play with your cut and style. In fact, emo haircut works best for guys with black hair color. However, various streaks are quite often applied on the hair to add more appeal to the look. They could be green, blue, pink or others which will stand out from the black locks. Moreover, you could have your... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the benefits of this cool haircut for men is that it suits most face shapes. If you avoid letting it get too wide at the sides, you will save your hair and face from looking rounder. Using a grade one up to where the undercut ends, the sides must have been clippered the same length. The hair through the top section may be razored in case you want to take weight out of thicker hair or if you desire to emphasize on texture, you may point cut the hair with scissors. As for styling this haircut, there are multiple ways to do it. You could scrape it back with a wet look gel or pomade to produce a very contemporary, slick finish. Another way is for the hair cut the same length, it may simply be washed and then worn in a louche topknot on casual days. If you tend to achieve more dramatic side parting or quiff, then blow dry the hair using a round brush. Then apply a root booster and some hairspray to keep it in place and to support the shape at the front. Actually, this is quite a low maintenance haircut that makes any man look handsome and ... No: 9789045956 Abstract Graph theory is becoming increasingly significant as it is applied to other areas of mathematics, science and technology. It is being actively used in fields as varied as biochemistry (genomics), electrical engineering (communication networks and coding theory), computer science (algorithms and computation) and operations research (scheduling). The powerful combinatorial methods found in graph theory have also been used to prove fundamental results in other areas of pure mathematics. We discuss about computer network security (worm propagation) using minimum ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is known as the timetabling problem [4] and can be solved using the following strategy. Construct a bipartite multigraphG with vertices x1, x2, ..., xm, y1, y2, ..., yn such that vertices xi and yj are connected by pij edges. We presume that in any one period each professor can teach at most one sub ject and that each subject can be taught by at most one professor. Consider, first, a single period. The timetable for this single period corresponds to a matching in the graph and, conversely, each matching corresponds to a possible assignment of professors to subjects taught during this period. Thus, the solution to the timetabling problem consists of partitioning the edges of G into the minimum number of matchings. Equivalently, we must properly color the edges of G with the minimum number of colors. We shall show yet another way of solving the problem using the vertex coloring algorithm [7]. Recall that the line graph L(G) of G has as vertices the edges of G and two vertices in L(G) are connected by an edge if and only if the corresponding edges in G have a vertex in common. The line graph L(G) is a simple graph and a proper vertex coloring of L(G) yields a proper edge coloring of G using the same number of colors. Thus, to solve the timetabling problem, it suffices to find a minimum ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Research Paper On Red Velvet Cake Red Velvet Cake, also known as Red Waldorf Cake is a layer of chocolate chocolate with chocolate flavour to a considerable number of red food colours produced by the bright red tones. It is most typically combined with a rich, soft, fluffy frost that provides punching and colour contrast for most cakes. The first verifiable record of this artificial colour cake was in 1959, and at the second year was named "red velvet cake". On the other hand, "red velvet cake" without the adjective red, does not mean that our subject dating back to the post–Civil War period, refers to soft, moist and smooth textures. So the same recipe for the August 8, 1871 New Dominique (Montreal) "Velvet Cake" and the November 1871 Ballou Monthly Magazine (Boston) was butter cake bread with lemon extract. • 6. Crime Scenes: Agarose Gel Electrophoresis Essay As seen on many crime shows and in real–life crime scenes, it is necessary to be able to identify DNA. Most of the time, this is done using a technique known as gel electrophoresis. Gel electrophoresis is a method used to separate the macromolecules that make up nucleic acids, such as DNA and RNA, along with proteins. Gel electrophoresis is significant because it has given scientists insight on what cells cause certain diseases and has led to advancements in DNA and fingerprint identification. This theory was formulated in 1970 and is one of the most recent on the topic of gel electrophoresis. The National Academy of Science states, "The behavior of macromolecules in gel filtration and gel electrophoresis may be predicted from Ogston's model for random mesh work of fibers. This model has been generalized to apply to non–spherical molecules and to several gel types. The theory defines conditions for optimal separation and optimal resolution in gel electrophoresis and gel filtration" (Unified Theory for Gel Electrophoresis and Gel Filtration). There are a few components that compose a gel electrophoresis chamber. First of all, there is a chamber used to contain the gel. The gel used in my experiment will be made from agarose. In order to create an electric field, there are positive and negative electrodes attached to a power source. My experiment will use alligator clips as the electrodes and nine–volt batteries as the power source. A buffer solution, in this case a 1% solution of baking soda, submerges the gel to allow the ions to carry through and maintain the stability of the Ph levels. A comb is used to generate wells inside of the gel to hold the samples. The comb will be made of styrofoam (Forensic Science: Building Your Own Tool For Identifying DNA). Grade Hierarchy Analysis Call Graph According to Figure 2.8, node 7, node 8 and node 9 do not have any other predecessors except node 5 & node 6 and by removing non–instantiated methods they become head nodes. So, I should remove these heads from graph and this new graph can be considered as RTA result for the given CHA Call Graph (Figure 2.9). Figure 2.9: The result of removing head nodes from graph To clarify this approach, I will use the computed Class Hierarchy Analysis Call Graph from the first example (Figure 2.6) and convert it to RTA. Since set of instantiated classes contains Class B & Class C, according to the algorithm, I have to remove node A.m( ). Moreover, if I check Call Graph again, I will find that node Interface.( ) has a reflexive edge and it's indegree=1 . Therefore, this node should be deleted as well. Figure 2.10 illustrates a conversion from CHA to RTA: CHA retrieved call graph Removing non–instantiated node Removing non–connected node Figure 2.10: CHA to RTA conversion 2.3.3 Class Type Analysis (CTA) CTA's main idea is narrowing down the set of reachable methods of a call site b.n( ) inside method A.m( ) by keeping track of "available target types" within class A. Since CTA algorithm is refinement of CHA and RTA, I can reuse CHA or RTA Call Graph result in CTA and decrease the set of reachable methods of a call b.n( ) to make it more precise. • 10. Food Additives And Its Effects On The Modern World People who live in the modern world can readily enjoy a variety of delicious foods such as hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, and even sushi rolls. These meals, in many cases, do not require people to spend much time to prepare them. Instead of time–consuming preparation, people only have to mix up all packed ingredients and then put them into a microwave. In respect of sushi roles, they are usually sold after every cooking process is finished. In other words, all consumers have to do is just open up the package. Because these prepared food products are processed in big factories, most people who prefer to eat these dishes do not seem to know how to cook them from scratch. However, during industrial manufacturing, ingredients that are usually not found in the house kitchen are used frequentlyв€’food additives. Food additives are eatable chemicals which make food appetizing and keep it fresh. The final goal to utilize these chemicals is to save production cost. For instance, strawberry gummies people eat are usually flavored with food additives to mimic "strawberrish" smell, taste, and color. Manufacturers paint gummies with red, orange, blue, and green dye because the cost of food dyes is incredibly cheaper than the cost of real fruit to flavor the same amount of gummies. Alternatively, orange juice is another typical example of food products with food additives. The amount of juice squeezed from one orange is really small. It cannot fill even a small cup. It was so much fun, and honestly it was one of the best weekends of my life. This post is just an overview of some pictures and the things I did. Let 's begin! (All the bloggers /booktubers I mention will be linked at the end!) Friday Friday was educator 's day, but they had an author luncheon that was open to the public. The authors at the luncheon were Sarah Dessen, Ruta Sepetys, and E. Lockhart. I met up with my friend, Avery, to go to the event. As we were sitting in the lobby, we saw Marie Lu walk in and I started freaking out. I wanted to go and ask for a picture, but I was too shy to go up to her. We went inside and sat at a table close to the front (closest to the reserve author table). As we were sitting there, I look in the corner and Ruta Sepetys (AKA ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS) is standing in the corner. Avery and I went over to talk to Ruta, and she was absolutely adorable. If you ever have the chance to meet Ruta, please seize your opportunity because she 's absolutely brilliant. Distribution Of Minimum Spanning Trees Distributed Veriп¬Ѓcation of Minimum Spanning Trees Authors: Amos Korman, Shay Kutten Problem Statement: A graph and a tree is given as input in a distributed manner and the algorithm is should be able to verifiy if the tree is a Minimum Spanning Tree (MST). Detailed Explanation of the Problem Statement Definitions Spanning tree: A spanning tree of an undirected graph is a subgraph which is a tree and includes all the vertices of G. Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) : A spanning tree of a graph whose weight (sum of weight of its edges) is less than or equal to the weight of all other spanning trees of the graph. Verification of a Spanning Tree: A graph and a tree is given as input and the algorithm should check if the tree is an MST for the graph. In distributed verification of Minimum Spanning Trees, the input is provided in a distributed manner which means that each node of the graph knows which of its edges belong to the tree. A node does not have any knowledge of the edges which do not emanate from it. The verification algorithm should label the vertices of the graph so that every node, given its own label and the labels of its neighbours only is able to detect if these edges are MST edges or not and whether the input tree is an MST. Motivation The motivation for working on verification algorithms is that verification is easier than computation. In a distributed setting verification is even more important because the tree is given in a distributed manner and computing such a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Visualization Of A Graph Essay Recent advancements in data collection is producing big complex data in many areas which can be modeled as graphs – entities (vertices/nodes) and their relationships (edges). They are increasingly being encountered in various fields of study. With this burst in data creation and collection, effective analysis of medium to large graphs is becoming increasingly popular in many fields such as social network analysis, biology, education, etc. With this increasing demand in large graph analytics, visual analysis of graphs has gained a lot of attention. Visualization has become an important tool in graph analysis and plays a critical role in thorough understanding of graphs. A key advantage of visualization is, representing large amounts... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These graphs exhibit a power–law degree distribution of the vertices. begin{equation} P(x) ~ k^{–gamma}, –3 < gamma < –2 end{equation} This indicates that a small portion of vertices in the graph have a very high degree and there are a lot of vertices with lower degrees. Vertices with very high degree are key vertices for the connectivity of the graph and these vertices are called as hub vertices. Examples of hub vertices are a network router in a communication network, a popular person in a social network with many connections, etc. Graph visualization featuring relatively important node identification, revealing the structure of the graph is useful for these type of graphs. Majority of the existing graph visualization algorithms – force–based, etc. result in high computation times and generate a space–filling, cluttered visualization like a hairball. This visual clutter is due to overlapping vertices which are a result of drawing all connected nodes close to each other and too many edge–crossings making the graph not readable. These layout generation algorithms fail to either reveal its intrinsic structure or readily identify relatively important vertices. Rendering large number of vertices in a small space aggravates visualization clutter by increasing overlapping, thereby making it hard to see/select the vertices. • 16. Multi-objective Reconfiguration of Electrical Distribution... EDSs are mainly designed meshed but operated radially for some technical and financial concerns. Distribution networks can be represented with a graph in ordered pairs consisting of a set of vertices, i.e. buses and a set of edges, i.e. branches; in terms of mathematics this equivalents to a sparse matrix which its non–zero elements signifies the existence of an edge in the system. On this basis a typical distribution network is radial if it forms a tree where each load bus is exactly supplied from one source node, i.e. substation bus [11]. This suggests MOEDNRC problem as identifying the set of non–dominated trees of the given graph. In this section we've devised a heuristic technique based on this idea as well as the rules defined in [30] to retain the connectivity and radial properties of individuals during the optimization process. It's worth mentioning that these properties are broadly disturbed by EAs due to the stochastic nature of these algorithms unless a heuristic plan is devised to preserve the mentioned properties. As a result generation of infeasible agents in sheer numbers by EAs is quite a normal observation. The proposed technique is able to prevail over this shortcoming and would increase the performance of EAs as well. Before proceeding with the designed technique, some terminologies are first introduced to set the stage for the plan. • 17. Description Of A Graph Use the map to create a graph where vertices represent street intersections and edges represent streets. Define c(u,v) = 1 for all edges (u,v). Since a street can be traversed, start off by creating a directed edge in each direction, then make the transformation to a flow problem with no antiparallel edges as described in the section. Make the home the source and the school the sink. If there exist at least two distinct paths from source to sink then the flow will be at least 2 because we could assign f(u,v) = 1 for each of those edges. However, if there is at most one distinct path from source to sink then there must exist a bridge edge (u, v) whose removal would disconnect s from t. Since c(u, v) = 1, the flow into u is at most 1. We may... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Exercise 26.2–10 Suppose we already have a maximum flow f. Consider a new graph G where we set the capacity of edge (u, v) to f (u, v). Run Ford–Fulkerson, with the mod– ification that we remove an edge if its flow reaches its capacity. In other words, if f(u,v) = c(u,v) then there should be no reverse edge appearing in residual network. This will still produce correct output in our case because we never exceed the actual maximum flow through an edge, so it is never advantageous to cancel flow. The augmenting paths chosen in this modified version of Ford– Fulkerson are precisely the ones we want. There are at most |E| because every augmenting path produces at least one edge whose flow is equal to its capacity, which we set to be the actual flow for the edge in a maximum flow, and our modification prevents us from ever destroying this progress. Problem 26–5 a. Since the capacity of a cut is the sum of the capacity of the edges going from a vertex on one side to a vertex on the other, it is less than or equal to the sum of the capacities of all of the edges. Since each of the edges has a capacity that is ≤ C, if we were to replace the capacity of each edge with C, we would only be potentially increasing the sum of the capacities of all the edges. After so changing the capacities of the edges, the sum of the capacities of all the edges is equal to C|E|, potentially an overestimate of the original capacity of any cut, and so of the minimum cut. b. ... Essay about Hair Dying Hair Dying As people look around the different cities of our fair country, one might notice that many people nowadays are coloring their hair to cover grey or just for the fun of it. One difference among the younger generation and the older generation is the colors that are chosen for their hair. The younger generation of this day and age seem to prefer wild colors such as Infra Red, Mystic Heather, Deadly Nightshade, Tiger Lily, etc, as self–expression compared to the older generation choosing natural shades to cover the signs of aging. This can be seen in the rising number of young people that are seen around with these types of wild colors. Not all young people choose the wild colors over natural shades because some choose the ... Companies such as BWild, Hot Head, and even Jerome Russell are participating in the trend of wild hair color to accommodate both the younger and the older population. On the other hand, classic companies such as Clairol, Dark & Lovely and L'Oreal still offer the majority of the natural hair colors that one can buy in a store such as Wal–Mart. These companies can have a productive future as long as they are able to keep up with all other forms of competition. As to my current knowledge, none of these companies offer outrageous colors such as Pillarbox Red, or AfterMidnight. Sticking to the traditional colors is not a bad thing because there is still a business in natural hair colors. People still like to color their hair so it looks like the color they used to have or a lighter or darker shade of the color they presently have. The largest group to purchase hair color products in the older generation is women. They might do this because they see grey coming in or are trying a new look out. For patients, we extracted age, encounter type (all inpatient in this data set), admission and discharge times, primary diagnosis, discharge location, length of stay, med service (department to which the patient was admitted), discharge disposition (where the patient was discharged to), and an index noting whether or not the patient had expired. Network Visualization We created two types of networks in this study. The first is a directed bipartite network and represents interactions between providers and patient records (Figure 2). The second network is undirected and depicts shared patient record access between providers (Figure 3). Visualization for both networks was performed using Gephi. My type of hair can be described as curly, kinky, frizzy, natural, or even as afro hair. Growing up I have seen very few people with color their afro hair. Not only in my hometown, but nearly everywhere I have been to and even in the media. I want to know why dyed straight hair is more common than dyed afro hair. Whether that must do with the effects hair dye has to natural hair. Or the price and extended effort of taking care of dyed hair. Or even the way hair trends are portrayed in the media and by celebrities When dyeing darker hair, bleach is needed to lighten the color for the actual hair dye to color the hair. Bleach is harmful to the hair as it causes dryness and breakage. Natural hair is usually dark and would need to be bleached if it were going to be dyed, but the last thing it needs is more dryness. From experience, my type of hair dries out easily and needs numerous other products to keep it moisturized. This is done by assigning a cost to all the edges of tree SP and by assigning a cost on "n" no. of nodes to all the other edges in graph. This assignment of cost helps in recognizing the cost of the longest possible path between a pair of nodes in any spanning tree is nв€’1 (i.e. it passes nв€’1 edges) while the cost of the shortest path between any pair of nodes without using of SPT edges is at least "n" (i.e. passes one edge). This means in case of link failure alternate link will always be present to ensure the network connectivity. This means each node in the tree is connected to at least "r" edges. Unit 2 Making Food Dye Lab Lab II: Making Food Dye By: Alexander Medina Lab Partners: Maxwell Yurs, Eugene Floersch, Masih Harri Abstract In this paper, an artificial food dye will be made to mimic the color of Full Throttle. To determine what food dye are needed, Full Throttle will be put through a spectrometer to determine what wavelengths are absorbed. Specific wavelengths absorbed will correspond to specific colors absorbed. It was determined that yellow 5 and yellow 6 will be used to make our artificial food dye to mimic Full Throttle. Using Beer's Law, it was determined that a concentration of 0.0000236 moles of Yellow 5 and a concentration of 0.0001494 moles of yellow 6. Using our line of best fit from the absorption graphs, it was determined ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When making the absorption graphs for the yellow 5 and yellow 6, the lines of best fit were giving numbers that were extremely small. After help from the TA, it was found that our concentrations used where twice as small of a concentration compared to what was actually used for Full Throttle. To correct this the molarity's were multiplied by ВЅ. For example when finding the x value in our equation y=2.044x+0.2067 the answer is x = 7.28–5 moles. To correct this, that number is multiplied by 0.5 to get the correct value of 3.64*10^–5. This new number is what was used in the equation c1v1=c2v2. After the solution was made to mimic Full Throttle it was discovered that the beverage only had one food dye. The experiment was intended to have a beverage with two food dyes present. To make up for this, orange PowerAde was used and the experiment was repeated for orange PowerAde. The solution was made for the orange PowerAde and its absorption graph was compared to that of the diluted orange PowerAde solution. Comparing the two graphs, have the same peaks although these peaks are at different absorption levels. Since the two graphs have the same peaks it is safe to assume that the same food dyes are present in both solutions. It is important to note that there are two peaks in each graph despite only seeing one peak. This is because both peaks are located so close to each other that they merge as one overall peak. Whether you realize it or not, many ordinary foods contain dyes. Some of the dyes are natural; others are synthetic. Is one better than the other? According to the The Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia, a dye is a "synthetic or natural coloring used to color various materials." Today, many dyes are used in foods all around the world. As of January 2014, the United States Food and Drug Administration certifies nine different dyes–Blue 1, 2; Green 3; Red 3, 5, 6, 40; Yellow 5 and 6 (Beil). After studied, scientists realized that these ingredients were poisonous and were banned from American foods (Beil). However, countries around the world continued to use coloring similar to the ones that were first attempted in America. The food industry realized that people were getting sick from these added chemicals and went back to not adding anything into their foods. The problem was swept under the rug until it came up again in 1918. A new dye came into the food industry world, which was classified as Sudan 1. Countries did not think this dye was harmful because it appeared to be a "natural color" (Winnett). This dye was not added into American foods but it was in foods imported into the States. Sudan 1 was used in Indian chili powder and other similar spices. Immediately, people all over the world began to get sick, and this dye was banned worldwide. In 1995, Italy realized that European countries still added this in over three hundred–fifty foods illegally (Winnett). • 45. What Is Graph Theoretical Analysis 1.3.4. Introduction to graph theoretical analysis. The case of brain perfusion SPECT. In the field of quantitative neuroimaging, graph theoretical analysis is one of the methods to study brain connectivity [93–95, 100, 101]. A key concept of this method is the notion of topology. This concept can be illustrated with a simple idea which is used when we travel in the subway of any large city. In figure 3 two maps of the London subway appear, the first map shows a precise spatial description of the railways (or lines) through which trains travel (i.e., the subway topography), whereas the second one is only concerned with the relative locations of subway stations and connecting lines (i.e., the subway topology). These two maps do not coincide with regards to the relative position of the stations, neither in the distances nor in the location of the lines. However, the topological map simplifies the problem for the traveler. For example, two stations may be physically (topographically) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By simply inspecting the topological maps, it is not easy to know if one subway is better organized than the other (e.g., subway efficiency). One way to simplify this problem is to use metrics that quantify or analyze the subway network using graph theory [94, 101]. Hence the name of graph theoretical analysis. A first aspect to measure could be how easy it is to travel between any two stations (e.g. the number of stations on average, between the start and end of the trip). This aspect is relevant, especially if the traveler wants to visit different parts of the city on the same day. This example illustrates the concept of global efficiency of a graph [94, 101]. The metric of global efficiency is a way to quantify the global connectivity (integration) of the network. In this example, it is assumed that the number of stations (nodes) and lines (connectors) are the same in the two subways that are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
