Introduction jio
• The inception of Jio was in 2005 when RIL split, the company was known
as Infotel Broadband previously, now by this time it is widely
acknowledged as “Reliance Jio" (a dream project of Mukesh Ambani). It
has begun with broadband services, stepped into 3G and 4G, and is
extending its mobile products and services through e-marketing.

• Initially, Jio has created a really tough competition
that Airtel and Vodafone have watched almost the double-digit rate of
decline in their revenues, at that time, Lyf phones made an attempt into the
market with Jio Preview offers as unlimited free data pack for 3 months
and free voice calls with SMS was the way they listed into the market.
Strategic initiative by jio
• Jio has announced special initiatives for the pandemic period:
• Jio working with Reliance Foundation will provide 300 free minutes of outgoing calls
per month (10 minutes per day) for the entire period of the pandemic, to JioPhone
users who have not been able to recharge due to the ongoing pandemic.
• Additionally, to further enhance affordability, for every JioPhone plan1 recharged by
JioPhone user, they will get an additional recharge plan of the same value for free.
For example, a JioPhone user recharging with a Rs 75 plan, will get an additional Rs
75 plan free.
• In pendamic for livelihood jio provide jio pos lite app with this people can do
recharge of anyone and earn some money in the form of commission.
• Offers home service.
