For my survey I asked 20 people if they listened to pop music, and as a result it came to a
conclusion that 17 people do listen to pop music. This tells us that pop music is known and very
popular and that the rest of the questions that I have created will benefit me then to help me
create my own pop magazine.

The next question I asked was that ‘ do you buy any magazines’ everyone buys
magazines, this will help me because they then can give their opinion of what they
think of certain magazines and what they like and dislike about them.

This question asked ‘how much would you like a magazine to cost’ this helped to
search for magazines that cost around the same price, and try to base my magazine
similar to theirs. The results haven’t surprised me much because a normal
magazine will cost around £1-£2.50, most people would like the magazine to cost
£1.50. however, what did surprise me is that three people wanted the magazine to
cost 50pence this is very cheap for a magazine , so to my conclusion the price of my
magazine will be around the price similar to £1.50.

This question helped me a lot to decide the colour for my magazine. The results
were that pink and white were the most popular colours, and yellow and orange
were the least popular. I have come to the conclusion that my magazine will be
pink and mint green.

3. The last question was what do you dislike the most about pop magazines, and loads
of people had similar opinions because they said they disliked some of the cover
lines that were on the front page because they were too boring. So I’ve decided to
make my cover lines more interesting and suitable for them. Also they disliked some
of the colours which by my earlier question has helped me come up with my colour
conclusion.
