April 30: Today was the first day we spent at the world's most visited national park, The Great
Smoky Mountains. We got here at 7:00 AM. The Great Smoky Mountains are located between
North Carolina and Tennessee. According to my research that I did before we came, The Great
Smoky Mountains have many things like Black Bears, Cades Cove, lots of flowers, and many things
things to do. We haven't done anything yet but we will start everything tomorrow. We are gonna stay
for 5 days. April 31: Last night the people at the front desk were so nice and as soon as we went in
our room people gave us welcoming gifts. It was amazing. I wish we could've done more today
though. All we did today was hike and then we went to the resort. The kids went to the water park
that they have and the parents went to the place with all the other adults. The hotel we stayed at had
amazing views and it was like living in a house! The hotel and the resort were so close that we could

The Swain Community Hospital has been a great pleasure and help to me ever since I found them on

When we started off, it was a beautiful day. The bright morning sun peeked over the Appalachian
mountains to bid us farewell as we packed our belongings into the 2011 Chevy Cruze. Dew still

The landscape of the trail was beautiful as it was along along a mountainside with thick and dense
foliage and lots of wildlife. Not to mention the picturesque view of the surrounding mountains
covered in lush green forests. Mainly to my 10 year old self I thought the hike was relatively boring

"Holy Cow, An Indian Adventure," by Sarah MacDonald, is a book written describing Sarah's
experience living in India. She goes through many tough times and endures life changing
experiences that eventually make her the person she is meant to be. In this book Sarah relates India
to western perspective several times. India and the United States do have similarities, India and the
United States both are run by a Democracy, they both have very strong cast systems; both have their
own "Hollywood" films, and both places have many religions mixed within. India like the United
States has a Democracy for their form of Government. India is a free nation with rights given to the
people and laws to protect them. Although India's Democracy is not exactly like the United States it
is set up very similar. In the book Sarah doesn't talk about India's Government and never runs into
any trouble by authorities, although she does mention that India has a Democracy. This means India
is a free nation and allows people to have opportunities for individuals to decide which ones they

Since India allows people to live freely, some people are very successful, some get by modestly, and

When we think of an all–American family, what do we think of? To me, an all–American family
consists of a mother, a father, and two children, one boy and one girl. Unfortunately, today this is not
the norm. We have become a society that is full of broken families. Whether good or bad, this has
become a commonality for families in the United States.
Growing up, I thought I had what some would call an all–American family. Well except the
children. I didn't have brothers, but I did have a mother, a father, and two sisters living happily under
